1501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: August 01, 2015, 09:18:57 PM

From my point of view, the future is very optimistic.
yeah i hope so. optimistic and dynamic  Grin

As bitcoin users we have to be optimistic and support bitcoins. No matter what people spread rumors related to bitcoins. We have faith in bitcoin that it can earn us best profit in the coming future.
As the mass adoption comes into play, we would see the difference in the value of bitcoins, and surely it would hit the mainstream in coming future.

When you aren't feeling optimistic you only need to watch one of Andreas Antonopolous lectures. He's got the knowledge and he's got the way to motivate people. You always learn something new, it's a good way to keep up to date with Bitcoin news without having to read any website.

Motivation is something that comes from within, and not by listening to others lectures. His job is to motivate people and he is getting paid for that, but for us a investor, it's our decision that will make a difference in our own lives. Learning something new is a good thing to do, as I don't think that anyone can judge the future of bitcoins.
1502  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to bitcoin in our wallet when we die on: August 01, 2015, 09:14:39 PM
My family can acsess my wallet on desktop because I write all the passwords and private keys in one file.  Tongue

And if you safe your bitcoin in online wallet, I think before you die you can tell how to accses your bitcoin in online wallet.  Tongue

Yes it is better to share details with the people whom we trust, and who can take care of our hard earned bitcoins even if we die, I have already started my son to educate on bitcoins and he is also keen to learn new things, but yet I haven't shared my passwords with him, but would surely do in coming time, as If I die, he can take care of my bitcoins.
1503  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Bitcoin Ruin Your Life, Or Help Your Life? on: July 22, 2015, 12:46:49 AM

Bitcoin has become an obsession for many people. Whether its investing, selling, gambling, or making purchases with it, Bitcoin has certainly become this trend that is much larger than it was years ago. Personally, Bitcoin has been a rollercoaster for me. There are times where I am up 9k in profit, only to be scammed by a professional for 6k. In other words, sometimes I am on top of the world thinking Bitcoin is going to make me an insane amount of profit, only to be let down feeling like I am going to lose every single dime I have because I am putting way too much hope in Bitcoin. At this very moment, I am in the process of disbanding my business accounts, and filing a certificate of disclosure. This isn't to say I have lost hope in Bitcoin, I just simply think there are too many faults that still exist with it. Even with a professionally typed paid FinCEN policy reviewed by 3 companies, scammers have still found a way to literally go above and beyond to steal money. I was involved with trading and selling, and its just got to a point where the risks were not worth the reward. I hope many of you have had more success than I! I've tried out some small gambling techniques as well, and of course that was a major failure. BTCJAM was great until multiple users defaulted on their loans. Then I tried one of the most recommended cloud mining services only to find out it was a ponzi scam and lost out on more coin from them. My last resort was to add a bitcoin faucet to my website, but there are just far too many to compete with, and the advertisement costs to draw attention were just to much for it to be worth it. I could have had the opportunity to retrieve about $2,000 from some scammers, but for me to hire a lawyer, travel to another state for a court date, it becomes too expensive and not worth it in some cases where you are scammed.

My best advice for anyone seriously getting involved with Bitcoin is the key word "money management". You might get to a point where your operation with whatever it is could be rolling in some serious money. Don't get greedy! Thats what I did. Never put in more money that your comfortable losing. If you are happy to invest $1,000 knowing it could be gone, then set that limit until you are comfortable risking a little more. For me personally, I was rewarded very fast with Bitcoin in the beginning. Then I started to purchase more, do bigger volumes of trades, and then boom, you wake up one day and your profits and bitcoin is gone from a hacker/scammer. Every person is different, every one also takes different risks and assessments when it comes to Bitcoin. All in all, has bitcoin ruined your life, or has it made your life better?

It depends on how you use Bitcoin, if you buy bitcoins and betting in casinos Bitcoin, do not believe that it can help you in life. But if you're using smart Bitcoin and if you earn, then this is a good thing in your life.

Agreed. Investing would be the right word rather then using. One must be make smart investments that it becomes helpful in the future.

Many of people are addicted to gambling and everyone wants to get rich quickly. So they choose gambling as they feel that one day they would grab the jackpot and become millionaire in a single day but that is simply not possible.
1504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: July 22, 2015, 12:42:13 AM
A good opportunity is also buying some new coins that are in the market, but is a high risk if their price fall down after their get popular
Every new coin is not good opportunity I done this mistake and pay heavy price before investment we need to check some stats about them

It is better to stay with bitcoin rather than experimenting with some new coins that are entering into the market. I think we should have patience and should give some time to bitcoin for the stability and as we have faith in bitcoin it would surely be more attractive and more valuable in future as the adoption level goes high.

If the adoption level of Bitcoin goes high, that would be great. A lot of Bitcoin users would be very happy. I believe Bitcoin could possibly become more valuable if the masses adopt it, but no one knows for sure.

Exactly, and that is what we all are waiting for that bitcoin gets into mainstream but it is only possible when there is a mass adoption and mass acceptance.

But the fact is we are not sure about the future of the bitcoins what it has to offer. Either it would be the global currency or just disappear from the market if some new and stable currency comes into existence.
1505  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin change in value a lot? Is it stable yet? on: July 22, 2015, 12:38:28 AM
There is no way to be sure about bitcoin price in future. If so we could all be rolling rich.

One thing worth it to consider though is all the people that bought on way down and are just waiting for higher priced to get out.

We don't know what would be the scenario in the future, but at present it is not stable for sure. And it can be only stable if more and more people starts adopting it.

So there is fluctuation in prices, even the prices are going up and coming down, but that doesn't mean that it is stable. We need to wait a long way for bitcoin to gain its stability.
1506  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: July 22, 2015, 12:34:38 AM
Buy or develop your own time machine and go back to 2008 and mine BTC on the computer at your mothers house in the basement

The best way to get rich is to start an own business, to be unique in what you're doing, to be a true master of his job, doing well and conveniently. For something like that, does not need a lot of investment, you just have to work hard and with a little luck you could become rich.

Yeah, I totally agree on this path. Its better to hack your own cash flow on what youre are worth.

Unless youre okay working on the 9-5 grind for the rest of your life and retire at 50-60?

Completely Agree, If you have your own business you will work with more energy and more dedication as you know that you are working for yourself and not for any shit company who doesn't care how hard you work for them how big revenue you generate for them.

So it is better to work for ourselves and earn more money. And you also have feeling of being the boss and you are the king when you have your own business.
1507  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to turn 2BTC into 4BTC on: July 22, 2015, 12:30:23 AM
I would personally just sit on it and allow the price of bitcoin to raise.  if it were easy turn 2BTC into 4BTC, then you also can  turn 4BTC into 8BTC . everyone would be rich

But for that you need to have patience as we are not aware that when the prices will climb and reach to a next level where we earning almost double of the investment we made while buying the bitcoins. So just sitting and waiting for the prices to raise is not a good idea in fact you should start making efforts like trading, mining, gambling etc.

I would choose to gamble with bitcoins. That is the quickest way to convert your 2 btc to 4 btc. If luck favors you on that particular day then you can even make 10 btc in a single day depending on the odds and the sport that you are gambling. I would prefer to gamble on soccer or may be horse racing.

Gambling is too risky. You cannot be sure that you will win. That is totally depends on your luck but What I have noticed is most of the people loose at the end of the day.

It is better to go for trading as you can keep certain things or strategy in your mind while trading and it is not that risky as comapared to the gambling. In gambling either you win a jackpot or you end up empty handed.
1508  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: July 22, 2015, 12:25:48 AM
Yes I have more than 1 Bitcoin. With some dedication and hard work there are many opportunities to make some Bitcoins on this forum, trading on the exchanges etc..

Good Job. At present I have 1.5 BTC which I earned from sig campaigns and still working on it to make it more in the coming period of time. But as Bitcoin user we want more and sky is the limit but we also make sure that we don't loose our bitcoins in the hand of scammers so need to keep it safe and yes trading is one of the option to grow bitcoins.

1.5 btc is good amount to hold suggest me too how can I grow my bitcoins. At present I am just working on signature campaigns is there any alternative way to grow my bitcoins?? If yes then please suggest me.

As I  need the knowledge and support from more knowledgeable and experienced person so as one fine day I also hold a good amount of bitcoins in my wallet.  Grin
1509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is wealth boring? on: July 22, 2015, 12:19:48 AM
wealth is boring. Everyday you're in relatively safety and security, knowing you will not starve today or tomorrow or next week. you'll have good food, good clothes, good shelter.

On the other hand, poverty is exciting. You never know if you can have food on the table the next day. Or even today. How will you feed your children? How will you provide them with shelter? You have to think creatively everyday, living on the edge.

Very True. If you are poor you will keep on finding alternative ways to earn and you will work more harder as compared to the rich person. As rich person knows that even If he doesn't work today it won't make any difference to him or his family. But being poor is more challenging and more challenging is to survive in this expensive world.
1510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, the Religion?! on: July 22, 2015, 12:03:58 AM
bitcoin is not a religion. but I've seen people creates a new religion just because they think god is behind this or that so I won't be surprised if people started calling bitcoin a religion ten years from now.

10 years is also something impossible. It will take more then 20 years for the people to consider it as a religion, but again we are not sure whether it will survive for next 20 years or not as it will face competitions from new currencies that would enter into the market in the future so it is better we just treat as a digital currency.

Almost Impossible.

I don't think that bitcoin can be a religion sooner or later, Is fiat a religion?? We are using it since its inception and it is still treated just as currency then how can anyone expect that bitcoin will become religion. Its better that it is currency and let it be the currency. And any currency as a religion, not possible.
1511  Other / Off-topic / Re: what you like best in Bitcoin ? on: July 21, 2015, 11:57:56 PM
Well the confirmation time is not a bit problem, the platform itself how bitcoin works that is the most important thing and i love it.

Ya and the problem with confirmation is not at everytime. Sometimes it take a bit time for transaction to get confirmed but that is acceptable. For one reason we cannot blame the bitcoins as there are many other advantages of holding bitcoins mainly for online transfer and online shopping which is very fast and quick.

That is true and with the speed that it works in transferring furnds online is the major attraction for me. As I am working abroad I need to send money to my home So I send in the form of bitcoins and it hardly takes 5 to 10 minutes to get credited in the bank account and that is the best thing I like about bitcoin.
1512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your first bitcoins came from.. (faucets aside) on: July 21, 2015, 11:46:14 PM
My first Bitcoin came from a sig campaign and doing stuff for people on this forum.

Me too.. My first bitcoin I received in the form of payment from the signature campaign that I was working on and It was a really great feeling when I received my first bitcoin and since then I am just trying to multiply my bitcoins for the safety of the future and want that it should keep on growing more and more  Cheesy

Most of the people who are here have received bitcoin either by buying it or from signature campaign. And that is the best way to begin the journey and yes some signature campaigns are giving really good pay out so for the beginner I think the signature campaign is the best source and the safe source of earning bitcoins.
1513  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a national currency? on: July 21, 2015, 11:42:30 PM
What do you think?

I'm not sure.. haven't think that far yet. because it still seems impossible.
but it would be great if a government openly support bitcoin and encourage their citizen to use it.... wait a sec, that's also very unlikely if they have their own currency. AAAAARRRRGHH

It is not possible at a moment that bitcoin becomes a national currency of any country. Governments of the countries will never allow it to happen and they will never support the crypto currency to be the national currency as they don't have any control over it so it would become difficult for them to continue their corrupted activities  Angry
1514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Should you stay or should you go? on: July 15, 2015, 07:26:16 PM
when it's the best time to buy BTC again?

Act now and buy more now. Looking at the current price movement , this season is the best time to buy bitcoins.

Correct. I think this is the best time to buy bitcoins in bulk and hold it for the future. As the prices are relatively low so it would be great for new entrants who wants to invest in bitcoins. Save money from salary and buy bitcoins and keep it safe for the future. It would be surely a profitable investment.
1515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction Times SUCK on: July 15, 2015, 07:22:43 PM
If would want your transaction to happen instantaneous and also to confirm within 5 minute,  then you can make the transaction fee from 10k Satoshi to 1BTC.
You will be making the pool owners lol.

transaction are instantaneous, i can't see this problem, the problem is only with confirmation, which again it is only a problem with phisical shop and only for big amount, can't people wait 10 min for online shop? i think it's an excuse

Last week i was expecting a small payment in my wallet and it took more than 48 hours to get confirmed. I mean 48 hours?? The payment was small so there was no issues even if it got delayed but what if I am expecting a big payment and need to withdraw in emergency at that time can't afford to wait for 48 hours.
1516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC in your country on: July 15, 2015, 07:07:00 PM
I am from the Netherlands. I guess most people here have at least heard about Bitcoin, including old people like my grandmother. Might have to do with the tech savvy population and one of the highest Internet adoptions around the world (almost 100%). Even my 87 year old grandmother has a tablet with Internet. In addition the level of English is high, which helps as most information about Bitcoin is in English.

Nevertheless I am not satisfied at the speed it is being adopted. I notice it is especially difficult to convince the older generations like my parents as the fiat system has always played out rather beneficial for them.

Among young people almost everyone knows what is Bitcoin and most of my friends also own a bit of Bitcoin. This also has to do with the fact that when I owe them some money (e.g. from taking drinks or a bbq) I always transfer this in Bitcoin. That is my rule. Some of my closer friends also deeply invested in Bitcoin however unfortunately some of them lost big sums of money with the Mt God fiasco.

In term of merchant adoption we are doing great. We have some big webshops accepting Bitcoin and several Dutch cities are growing quickly in terms of merchant adoption such as Arnhem or Amsterdam. Together with a few friends we are now working on increasing the merchant adoption in Rotterdam.

The community here is also strong, with some cool start ups like Blocktrail and a nice mix of Dutch and international people. So in the end it is not so bad, compared to other countries, but we could still do so much better. There is enormous space left for improvement and more adoption Smiley

Lucky Guy. I wish I could be in Netherlands too where people are knowledgeable and are ready to accept some new things coming in their way rather than blaming and making weird faces when they listen something like bitcoin. The situation is too worst in my country and it is difficult to convince them as they are so used to fiat and credit cards.
1517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How old were you when Satoshi started Bitcoin? on: July 15, 2015, 06:59:42 PM
So, with exception from a few +40 years old, there are mostly kids here...? Perhaps just a coincidence who answers in the thread, but I'm actually surprised that we have 15 year old kids here.

Yes and if it is true then I think its a good news to have 15 year old kids in the thread that proves the younger generation is much more technology advanced and tech friendly who can change the scenario in coming years and feel sorry for those who are highly professional but are still not aware about the bitcoins  Grin
1518  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: July 15, 2015, 06:55:29 PM
I don't know exactly whats the point to wait the price of bitcoin reach $1,000 or above. If you want profit, why we need to wait for many years. You will get profit if you can take advantage on the fluctuation price of bitcoin. Then its better for you to learn trading strategies and can get profit little by little in short time than waiting the price reach $1,000. For me, I would sell all my bitcoins if the price goes up atleast $50 higher, and buy it back when the price goes down.

Sure, you can make a little profit in the short term with fluctuations but you can also lose it all this way. If the price suddenly went to the anytime soon then you might miss your chance to buy back in. I also think the price in the future will be smallfry in comparison to what it is now so holding for the long term is a good safe bet and you don't have to risk your bitcoins in the process.

I would sell all my Bitcoins if the price hit to $1000-$2000 in a couple days.

It's not going to shoot up that fast. The growth will be slow and that would be better.

Yeah slow n steady wins the race. So it is better that the growth is slower and than only it would create a positive impact on the people who wants to enter into bitcoins as they see that there is the growth in long term will attract them to invest into bitcoins and that is good news for bitcoin community.
1519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: July 15, 2015, 06:44:15 PM
None of my friends like Bitcoin sadly. They don't understand what it is and it makes them think I work at NASA or something. (yeah, I know...)  Cry

Yeah and sometimes they find it insulting or jealous that something new you know that they don't know. And that is the reason they avoid and don't show their interest in learning something new. But I assure you after hearing from me they would have surely google it and would have understood what bitcoin is but they don't want to admit it in front of me.
1520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we afford to lose touch with money? on: July 15, 2015, 06:36:23 PM
Question 1 : If Bitcoin or Crypto currencies replace fiat, would you spend more or less?

Question 2 : Do you think physical contact with your money, makes you spend less?

Question 3 : Would we have less debt, if we paid for everything in fiat?

1) Depends what the climate and value of bitcoin is. If the price is high then I'd spend, but if it keeps rising I'd probably save.
2) No, but I can see how people would get carried away with credit cards and spend money they don't have. Money in your pocket in a wad of notes always seems like more than just numbers on a screen.
3) Not really, unless you mean people don't pay on credit cards. People could still take out loans though.

Very rightly said. It is better to save bitcoins if the prices continue to go higher and higher and Saving is always the best option one should have in mind. Spend only when needed or else keep it safe for the future as its gonna be the profitable investment in the future giving best returns which none other can give.
