1401  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: November 28, 2015, 02:11:00 PM
bitcoin wallet in paper... then no one can touch it, i can store as much money and no tax !!!
This is the best thing to do I think

It depends on where you live. Each government have a different policy when it comes to taxing Bitcoin as form of wealth. If you hide it, then indeed you don't have to pay tax. But if they somehow find out you have a lot coins in a wallet somewhere, they will surely find a way to tax you Wink

I think holding multiple wallets can solve the issue, as Government in my country doesn't support bitcoins but I don't think that it would create any problem for me for holding lot of coins in my wallet, as Government in my country is busy in solving their own scams which involves millions of dollars why would they run behind poor guy like me?
1402  Other / Off-topic / Re: Complete the sentence... "I would sell all my Bitcoins if..." on: November 28, 2015, 02:06:56 PM
I would sell all my Bitcoins if... btc will rise to 10.000 USD. Decent enough goal in the next few years which can be carried out. Why not to dream?  Grin

Yeah if you want to make it big then you should dream big too, you know never what future is gonna offer us and I believe that what you are saying would be surely true one day, and that's what we all are hoping for if it reaches to $10k I would sell all my bitcoins and say bye bye to bitcoins.
1403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: November 28, 2015, 02:04:03 PM
I have some experience in trading so that's what I use to grow up my BTC. Gambling is one of my option but not sure if it grow up. Also tested faucet but low paying. So in my experience growing up Bitcoin fast is risky. If someone have a safe method feel free to PM me.

If you are looking for safe method then signature campaigns are the best to earn bitcoins in the safest way, the more you work, the more you earn if you have high ranked accounts than you can easily earn good amount of bitcoins, trading and gambling is good to grow your bitcoins quickly but you cannot win everytime.
1404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: November 28, 2015, 01:59:33 PM
Today I was mentioning to my friends about Bitcoin! What he concern is that Bitcoin is digital, and how could it has value. And the price as well! If you buy now at $400, tomorrow it becomes $300 and no one will buy your coins!

I think that is one of the reason and the other reason could be lack of knowledge related to new technologies and also a fixed mindset towards a particular thing, mainly they don't want to innovate their thoughts towards something new and have faith that bitcoins would not survive too long due to its volatility.
1405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: paypal or bitcoin? on: November 28, 2015, 01:56:38 PM
Absolutely i will choose bitcoin for shopping.

No need to verification for register, fees is very small, and transaction is very fast.

Paypal can do this.

You mean paypal can't do that right?
the only things that make bitcoin better than paypal are we dont need to upload our identity and of course low cost even with the high amount of transaction
Yes. Paypal can't do that. Sorry little bit miss " 't ".

When you create new account, especially in process verification you will have to upload personal information. Which i don't like that.

But if using bitcoin, we don't need to verification, even for registration. Just download the wallet and you have account.

That's why i love bitcoin it's so super simple and no one can't froze my money, no limit and low cost, not like paypal they can limited my account anytime
and its really complicated to fix it

First of all if paypal limits your account is for a reason.

But this reason can be justified and unjustified! Trust me, I know some people that had their accounts limited and even frozen and this has killed their income earning over eBay, and they lived from selling stuff on eBay!

Whenever you have a single person that is deciding your destiny during a dispute, you never how will this end!
Thats why bitcoin is getting more and more costumers, with bitcoin sales will be final wont be any kind of chargeback or limit action into any ammount, you holding, bitcoin is the future besides low fees against paypal fees, and those chargeback system and the frozen accounts, besides the main fact of id and bank account to get verified.

Yeah, those who wants to get rid of banking verifications and all that stuff will definitely choose bitcoins over paypal, and bitcoins transaction fees are very low as compared to paypal as paypal involves high level of hidden charges which they do not disclose at the initial stage.

Both of you are correct! The only problem I see is that people will have to get used to that with Bitcoin there is no right for an error. When you hit that send button, that's it. This will take a while to get used to and many errors by the users and lost funds I am afraid!

Yeah, many of us have admitted that we have sent btc to wrong addresses and that is the basic thing we need to learn to check and recheck before transferring btc as if it is sent to wrong address then those funds are never gonna come back and its a major problem for new btc users.
1406  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: November 28, 2015, 01:51:44 PM
yes i think about it,i believe that bitcoin will replace Dollar on future. but  can't make sure how long needed by bitcoin for being global currency and replacing Dollar.

It will take a long time dude, not so easy to replace currency like dollar, as dollar is treated as the king of all currencies and getting replaced by a crypto is something unimaginable but if the bitcoin gets on mainstream then it would go parallel to dollar but it cannot replace dollar for sure.
1407  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 1 minute silence for france on: November 28, 2015, 01:49:22 PM
Hi

France is going through immense pain at the moment. But we should not forget countries like Syria are having these events happen on a regular basis.

Thanks

Yes it was an very disgraceful act on the part of humanism as no one have right to kill anyone those are inhuman and insane people who are just busy in spreading terrorism in the beautiful place called world and really feel pity for entire France and the people who have lost their lives.
1408  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: November 28, 2015, 01:46:08 PM
paper money will always exist,it never have ending, you know so many countries use paper money for payment.
but i also believe that sometime paper money will not popular again, but it just on a big country like US,and never end in small country.
In my opinion paper money will disappear one day but that day is still very far away. Imagine in the next 100 years people will use paper money? I don't think so. This will gradually become the reality and we should accept it

If it would take 100 years then I think we should not be worried about it at present, because I don't think we are gonna live that long  Grin and what you said is correct its not easy for paper money to disappear so easily as the market cap of paper is more and people have more faith in paper money.
1409  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: November 28, 2015, 12:12:41 AM
Long term investment in bitcoin is very much safe, you can understand it by this;
There was a man who brought bitcoins when they worth pennies of about $15 and when the price jumped to $1150 you can imagine that how much he have gained for a mere investment of $15.

You can also imagine the guy who bought bitcoins at $1000 each two years ago, and now they're worth $300 each. Long term didn't turn out so good for him, and he probably feels like an idiot now.

Exactly, should avoid thinking of long term if bitcoin is giving us profit in short term then we should take advantage of the situation and make money out of it, as we know that bitcoins price will keep on fluctuating even in future so we can buy again when price falls down and that is the best strategy to follow.
1410  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: November 28, 2015, 12:08:56 AM
How about doing now some of the stated advice here and check to yourself if your'e can able to save money. If still doesn't work then check out all the holes. You are the one who can make your own ways to save your money because we have different spendings.

Reducing spendings can help us in saving money, I think we should avoid to go to clubs on weekends or go out for a dinner, I think it should be made to once in a month, that could definitely save a lot of money as when are with friends and hanging out we don't have control on our spendings so that must be avoided.
1411  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: November 28, 2015, 12:05:00 AM
I wouldn't count on living on Thailand, do you think that place is really safe to live on the daily even if it's really cheap? It would suck having to leave and live there as a foreigner knowing no one. I hope that in 10 years something around 20 BTC is enough to live off in a USA-EUR country (or some Japanese place if the radiation hasn't ruined everything by then)

Thailand is very good place to live and also with the low cost of living, and additionally you can enjoy thai massage everyday  Cheesy I hope that they start accepting bitcoins as a mode of payment for massages, if that is the case then I would surely move to thailand, quiet cheaper then my country, So can live a lavish life there.
1412  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: November 28, 2015, 12:02:20 AM
It depends on how much risk you want to take.
Gold is much safer i think.
But with bitcoin you can have the luck to win all of a sudden very much. You never know.
I should go for 50/50.

What you are saying is true, gold is much safer then bitcoins as the price of gold doesn't fluctuate like bitcoin does, but the people who wants to make quick profits and who have ability to take risks would definitely invest their money into bitcoins only because of its high price fluctuations.
1413  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: November 27, 2015, 11:59:55 PM
Invest into your future and your family ,take out from your income some % and apply it to be able to retire before the governments force you to work till 80 years old ,the support they will give you wont be enought and will take a long road, always invest to get the best returns in the future.

Yes investment is the key to success to have a good and happy retirement life, as far as savings is concerned they will only take care of present like it can be helpful at the time of emergencies, but if the investment is made in a proper way then it would give you best returns in the future.
1414  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: November 27, 2015, 11:55:44 PM
If you are into Bitcoin to make a profit, then it matters, but for every day use, no it doesn't really matter

In that case, it matters to me I guess. I'm investing into Bitcoin to make profits. I think it does matter even for everyday uses. If you mean by paying a bill or buying groceries I think you still have to buy your countries currency, unless you're able to buy all of that online.

No it doesn't.
Atleast not the way i am using it.
I buy btc to send to my girlfriend. She sell them for fiat to buy groceries or pay bills. Much cheaper than bank transfer and it doesn't matter if the price is 1 or 500. What I am paying is still the same
Edit. forgot to say. I'm living in Norway and she in Gemany so bank transfer would kill us

Yes definitely bank transfers would kills us, I generally use my bitcoins to convert it to fiat and I think that is a profitable for me as it takes very less transaction fees to pay and the transfers are instant, but yes for me the price of bitcoins really matters, if the price is high then I have to pay less BTC to convert it to my local currency.
1415  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: November 27, 2015, 11:51:35 PM
I think with in 15-20 years can be replace.

If that happend I think all the banks will shut down.

I don't think that bitcoins can replace Dollars, as Dollars are widely accepted and most trusted currency and people have more faith in dollars as compared to bitcoins, but yes if the adoption of bitcoins reaches to the peak then anything is possible in the future, but at present I don't think bitcoins can replace any major currency.

Exactly. Bitcoin is just going through a lot of issues right now (block size, TPS, etc) and I think that it still needs to be perfected in order to really replace the Dollar. Still, anything is possible and if Bitcoin ever reaches mainstream use, I'm pretty sure it might replace it. Soon fiat currencies would become obsolete and the new generation of money would be crypto currencies. Just my opinion.  Roll Eyes

Supporting bitcoin and having a positive mentality towards is what we all need to do but at the same time we cannot ignore the reality, and the reality is that bitcoin can never replace dollar, bitcoin will be more popular in future for sure but it will replace any major currency, I doubt.
1416  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: November 27, 2015, 11:47:40 PM
Paper money will not be completely banned. What will happen is the legalization of the digital money thus giving options to the people either to transact through the paper one or digital based.  Digital currency and to be specific, bitcoins when accepted  by a majority of countries as a official currency will mean that banks will have no option but cope up with the trend. As much as there are people who value digital money, there are those who will still be glued to paper money and thus it can not be scrapped away.
Also as long as you cannot use BTC at a merchant if your smartphone's battery is drained, paper money will exist. I usually pay for things with my fiat paypass card. But, there is always a few bank notes next to my bank card just in case there is some problem with the merchants' POS terminals or with the internet connection. So as long as someone solves the problem of paying offline with the BTCs, paper money will still exist.

Yes, there is no substitute for paper money in the coming years for sure, it may loose its popularity because of e-currencies like bitcoins and many other which would exist in future, but paper will stay in the market and cannot get simply disappear as the people have more faith in paper currency as compared to cryptos.
1417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: November 27, 2015, 11:43:28 PM
They use the service they trust ,even knowing they will loose a high fee into it,bitcoin hasnt the trust from the people ,may happen into the future, and well after the exchanges being present and able to convert btc into fiat,or we be able to pay with bitcoin anywhere.

People will always look at the brand image and the life span of that particular service providers, So if we compare WU to bitcoins then definitely the users of WU are high as compared to bitcoins and bitcoins is lacking behind only because people are not aware about the benefits that bitcoins is offering.
1418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe we need more ways of advertising Bitcoin currency? on: November 27, 2015, 11:40:30 PM
Bitcoin is growing slowly and bringing new costumers into it ,but well because there is no a huge and effective promotion besides the people present at it and some banners online ,we are mooving up.If someone able to make advertisements with 1 minute showing something new ,todays the promotions are fast and the message arrives everyone the more stupid or without sense will be reminded always.

Yes good promotions can make a huge difference, TV advertisement or social networking sites can make a huge difference, or even if there is small article in newspaper can have a impact on the people, So the efforts should be made that bitcoins is promoted in the best possible way.
1419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a waste of time mentioning Bitcoin to friends and family? on: November 27, 2015, 11:36:25 PM
I do not think it is a waste of time. It might be a hit and miss but I think it is important to give bitcoin as much exposure as possible.

It is not a waste of time if the information is delivered in proper way, and I feel if your friends and family likes innovative ideas then they would definitely try new things, and for them bitcoins is new so basically depends on how they view at the new technology and ready to accept it or not in the long run.

Yes we need to approach in a friendly and proper way. I was successful in my last 5 attempts out of 7. This was possible only when I start with faucets. Even before knowing what is bitcoin, most of my friends owned some satoshis. I believe I can spread bitcoin ecosystem to more people this way.
I think this is the key to get the ball rolling towards other people.
Having some satoshis in hand gets them questioning what they do with it and then they start to explore what they can do with it. Then the next stage would be them wanting to find out more about it once they find out what it's real potential is.

And once they are aware about the benefits attached with bitcoins I am damn sure that would definitely take next step to know it better and try to have real experience with bitcoins, the attractive nature of bitcoins would definitely help people in building trust on bitcoins.
1420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding your bitcoin for a price increase? on: November 27, 2015, 11:32:37 PM
I believe that Bitcoins needs to move. I am not holding for long time, but waiting now for price increase. Then I will trade some of my bitcoins again.

Exactly, the transactions should take place either for buying or selling, Its better to sell bitcoins if the price increases rather then to wait till it reaches the moon, we are not sure where it would in the future but at present if you can earn profits out of it then selling at higher price and buying at lower price should be done.
