1501  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: June 03, 2023, 01:21:30 PM
It probably has more specific information about games than you already have, but you're correct about AI being capable of analyzing games without any emotions or depth. AI predictions can sometimes be accurate could be ranging from 50% to 60% correctness (in my opinion).

I believe that AI predictions can offer logical insights through quotes and other data but as we know it doesn't always work that way. For example, when Team X is up against Team Y, if the quote for Team X winning is 2.90 and for Team Y winning is 1.12, it wouldn't be surprising if Team X ends up winning. There's no guarantee in gambling and anything can happen. Therefore, it's better for a gambler to make their own gambling decisions rather than relying on any third-party tools like AI.
It sometimes happens that the outcome of a sports event goes against the odds and the team that had very high odds of winning will lose to a team that doesn't have a very good performance in the competition, and it is never guessable whether it's you or an AI making the prediction because such outcomes come by surprise and all of a sudden.

As you said, AI can be your best companion that will help you with the research and analysis for a specific match that you are willing to place a bet on, but it can only do that if it has the latest available data in it's training.
1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 03, 2023, 09:00:10 AM
I will definitely not do it if it's now allowed by the platform, I would rather use a different platform which is allowed from where I'm at that moment only to avoid any problems because most of the times, your accounts that you've been using for a long time are very dear to you, especially if there is ranking and VIP and other stuff involved and if you lose your account, you lose all of it and everything that you've wagered so far from that account is all gone, hence, no privileges.

This is the reason why one should have accounts in at least two or three different trusted and reputable platforms, so that if you can't access one of them when you are out of country, etc. You can use the other ones in that time.
1503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 03, 2023, 07:25:03 AM
I don't understand the point in having these sort of one-sided matches. Ireland is not just ready yet to face the pig-3 sides. They ever struggled against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, and then how can we expect them to be competitive against England? On top of that they are missing some of their key players such as Josh Little and Craig Young (the latter as a result of an injury). I have a feeling that the decision to award them full membership in 2019 was a mistake. There is no improvement in the Irish performance for the last 4 years. In fact I would say that their performance has worsened.
I completely agreed about this all there is no point to have matches like these because it's completely waste of sources and energy with nothing positive is also coming from these one-sided matches as well ICC is trying to commit suicide through these poor decisions which are not helpful for the cricket and countries here still we have good time for bringing changes and help to countries like Ireland and many more which are trying to adopt with just allowing them to play in t20i instead of giving them full test status which is not fair.

After watching test matches against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka all were clear as they are still not able to perform, so now we are watching how things are going against team like England with now this match is going to end today without any entertaining just some good personal records for the English players which is surely matter of shame.
1504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: June 02, 2023, 08:41:45 PM
Messi has left, lets see what PSG will do, they need better midfield and now they will need someone to replace Messi, which we all know will be hard, no matter how old he was, he was still messi and did some pretty magical stuff anyway, but missed some games. I am guessing that Neymar will be a no-show next season as well so I am guessing that its going to be something a bit more important, it will probably be something to care about and I believe that it wouldn't be really an easy fill.

Neymar and Messi gone, need of a midfield, and how much money could they even spend? I am not even talking about just their budget, which is of course limited even if its a lot, but I think they have financial fair play they will need to think about as well.
1505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Benefit of bitcoin on: June 02, 2023, 10:15:00 AM
I don't really see anything having the slightest possibility of interrupting the chances of Bitcoin prolonging its value over time because it basically doesn't have any disadvantages or vulnerabilities as a technology, even if there are a few vulnerabilities like 51% attacks and stuff, they are more likely not reachable for anyone to compromise or interrupt the network.

The only thing that people might consider a disadvantage of Bitcoin is its volatility which is basically there in all cryptocurrencies and it's because their prices go up and down based on demand and supply and because of the flow of the money invested.
1506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: June 02, 2023, 09:09:15 AM
Will Chat gtp be able to bluff skillfully? After all, one of the basics of poker is skillful bluffing. This requires an understanding of your opponent's psychology, but often poker players express emotions that are the exact opposite of what they are feeling. Therefore, it is quite difficult to understand what the player's real position is.

Chat GPT will not able to be a real human obviously as they are created and designed by human. Although chat gpt can give many information but I think it will be impossible to be used in gambling especially poker. I do even think that real professional poker players are still facing difficulties if they are playing in online casino where they cant see their opponent's gestures which is something really important thing to decide what to do with what they have in hand.
Professional poker players never gamble online AFAIK, they always do it in land-based casinos or in tournaments where they can play against other humans face to face so that they can know and understand each and every move of other players, see their facial expressions, and whatever that makes a difference and can give them an idea of what kind of a hand they have got.

About ChatGPT, it obviously won't be able to reach their level, it's based on machine learning algorithms that can search and find answers and information based on a keyword provided, it is not specifically created for the purpose of gambling.
1507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: June 02, 2023, 08:06:15 AM
I don't think there is a perfect gambling strategy especially in gambling when we know that gambling owners always have the advantage over the gamblers. The article suggested to stick on a style but I think it depends.

If the style is working properly, definitely we will stick on it. Looking for others might only affect the momentum you're getting. In case it's not working well, that must be the time to look for another. On the number 6 in the list, it says to have enough money.

I think this can also mean to have more money than usual which is wrong. Having huge bankroll still won't guarantee you a winner. In fact I think I am more lucky with a tiny bank roll.
1508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another betting fraud in Brazil - part 2 on: June 01, 2023, 06:11:31 PM
Oh well on big leagues especially when their sports is so famous match fixing is lessen since its easy to spot those incident nowadays. All have camera and anyone can upload the footage anytime they want that's why some of those doings got easily busted by people and officials working on the league. Maybe the best thing they could do if they want to eliminate this match fixing or any manipulation happening they should more higher fines or even players or team involve will get blacklisted on the league for sure many will afraid to do this action and they can make sure betting will be fair with that.
It might be easy to identify an action that is done as a result of a match of spot-fixing if it's done in a clear manner which shows the player has done something unusual, but there are also players who even do cheating but they do it in a way that they get away undetected and even the officials can't suspect them of being cheaters.

And about bans and fines, I think authorities are pretty strict with that these days, as said by OP in his post above, they can even ban players for life from soccer and also fine them for what they did, fines might not be an issue but a ban for a lifetime will surely make every player scared.
1509  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: June 01, 2023, 04:52:42 PM
Betting with AI in these times does not make sense, firstly because they are in very beta mode, and secondly because they have not yet been programmed with the precision that is needed, I could not say if in 5 years the prediction capacity of the robot will be almost perfect , but I think it will get closer because there are so many events that can be seen having an AI that I am sure will give the most optimal response, and as a result these things can happen, but when it is more advanced, then for now making bets with AI is losing easy, but in the near future it will be the card to success.
Intelligence can't be the probability of winning so the reality is they may have more data, knowledge, analysis and possible outcomes but if the bet is fair then the results will be unknown until it happens so AI can never beat the basics but it can kill the entire casino systems cause what if everyone opts to choose AI for betting and they just let it decide then human civilization will move away from gambling which has been a part of it since the beginning.
I think a vast majority of gamblers don't gamble only for the money but they also enjoy gambling while having the thought that they might win something from it, and even those who gamble for money would probably like to do it themselves, someone using AI to bet on their behalf should simply try something else like trading where they can use a bot to get profit.

The essence of gambling gets lost if we use bots or AI for betting even if they are generating good results, I mean what's the fun in that? I personally would never do that even if I know that might increase the probability of winning.
1510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: June 01, 2023, 08:22:30 AM
If you can, you can also give them advice to have more control over gambling.

Hmm, the situation I talked about has gone beyond advice. The only solution is to carve out his brain and replace it with a new one. If I see a surgeon that can do it, the only kindness I can do is give a hand in the donation for the surgery 😂😆. @tusandii, advice is not the solution again; he even gets angry at anyone who tries to mention it to him.
Such cases are really difficult to manage, people who don't acknowledge themselves that they have an issue will never listen to anyone advising them or telling them that they need help because as you said, they will get angry and start arguing or fighting with you, these are very severe cases and it's very difficult, in fact, impossible to talk them out of that situation.

There needs to be some kind of therapy and hypnosis sessions for these kinds of people because they surely need help but they don't realize it themselves nor do they let others help them, they just stick to what they like to do which is basically dangerous for them.
1511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: June 01, 2023, 06:19:15 AM
Well, I see it more often now compared to before, but it's a common thing to happen. Gambling sites are just ramping up their business to help gain more customers, because that's always the purpose of it, to attract new ande more customers with those ads, and this is not just common on YouTube videos; it's also both on Facebook, although I have not really been so active on Twitter to know if it extend to there too. But it really sucks 😔 to get those ads pupping up and obstructing ones video.
The ads you see on any platform depend on what you surf on that particular platform, whether it's YouTube, Google, Facebook, or any other platform. They track your activities through cookies and then use those cookies to show you personalized ads based on your interests which in this case are related to what keywords you've searched or what kind of videos and pictures you've interacted with.

It might be frustrating but that's what it is, if we don't want to see those ads, we will obviously need to clear the cache and cookies of our apps and browsers and try not to interact with videos or posts of the nature that we don't want to see anymore.
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Father Rejects Son's Gambling Win on: May 31, 2023, 08:51:16 PM
I think it roots in the beliefs and the value that the father holds. Mostly held under their culture or their religion. It's a hard decision to make for the kid I guess. Is gambling a bad thing to do? I don't know. You don't need to know to. What you just need is to ask yourself truly if it is the right thing to do. Because we all have different beliefs. and my belief has nothing to do with what you are believing. Same goes to the story of the boy. It depends on what is more important for him. Is it the culture of his father or is it the money making he can make gambling.
I don't know much about beliefs and customs in Nigeria, but I am sure that this is a pretty stupid thing to do (in case the story is not fake). The amount being mentioned here is huge, and it can be life changing. And in today's world money matters more than anything else. If tomorrow some of his family members get hospitalized and requires some expensive medical procedure, his beliefs are not going to help. I just hope that the son is not as stupid as his father and he will claim the reward and spend it wisely. If his father decides to kick him out of the family, then it is his problem.
Well, I pretty much agree with the logic here, if the family isn't so well-to-do and doesn't have a lot of money, rejecting such an amount is sheer stupidity, because as you said, beliefs or culture or any other thing won't pay the bills and money is a basic requirement for today's world, you can't do anything at all without it, and if wealth is knocking on your door, you should welcome it with open hands.

Such a thing can be understood if the father is already rich and doesn't need money, he is feeding his family well, all their expenses are covered and they even have savings for bad times which can come all of a sudden, but if this is not the case, he shouldn't have rejected the money.
1513  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why Opening an Account in a Bitcoin Sportsbook is the Future of Sports Betting on: May 31, 2023, 06:11:03 PM
Using Bitcoin is the main choice for gamblers. If bitcoin transactions are very expensive, they will immediately switch to altcoins or stablecoins like some time ago when bitcoin transactions increased very high. But casino sites will still charge us transaction fees regardless of the coin. That is why if casinos also apply bitcoin transaction fees to increase because transaction fees from the network also increase, we must be wise in responding to it. We can also take a short break which will refresh us when we want to play gambling after everything returns to normal. And sooner or later, transaction fees will come down again and we're seeing that now.
Well, I believe Bitcoin used to be the first choice of gamblers for gambling on online crypto gambling platforms, but nowadays, most gamblers use stable coins like USDT or USDC, and the reason for that is because they are not volatile so there is no devaluation in between your gambling sessions which might happen with Bitcoin since it's volatile and can drop value any time.

Another reason for choosing stable coins is to be able to easily understand your betting amount, your wins and losses, how much was your bankroll initially and how much it is when the session is ended, it will be pretty difficult with Bitcoin since you can't see the USD value that way.
1514  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: May 31, 2023, 01:10:45 PM
KYC doesn't have any function to prevent your account from account breakers or anything else, and the money laundering thing is for the platforms and authorities and it isn't a benefit for you, it's just that they want to keep tracking your activities to know whether you are involved in money laundering or not and if they suspect anything like that, things can go wrong with you.

I personally don't mind doing KYC but only if the platform that I'm using is trusted and I know that they won't misuse my information for their own gains, if I can do KYC in a centralized exchange to access all the features, I can do it on a gambling platform as well so that I don't face any issues with my withdrawals and deposits.
1515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: May 31, 2023, 10:11:50 AM
This actually happens if there is a similar thread I'll lock this thread.

My friend invited me for a round of drinks just last night to confess something, and that is his wife threatened to leave their house and file for legal separation because the wife just discovered that he's spending a lot of time gambling, she thought that he's just playing games but she discovered his logged because the idiot has his password in the browser, so the wife check his withdrawal and voila his losing a lot of money and she also discovered that he won big money in the past but didn't tell her.

I guess that blew her patience for not telling his winning, so he threaten that he should stop gambling or they part ways, my friend choose his wife so he cannot play until he can convince his wife and promise her to tell her if he won big. Cheesy

How about you have you been threatened by your wife, your girlfriend, or your parents, if so tell us your story.
you never mentioned that he neglected the wife's financial needs, that's the only time I'd have said I felt where her pains and anger seems to be coming from, but, in as much as he is doing what he's supposed to in the relationship, what right has she to stop him or give him such options??

It's fine, I've learnt to let family issues be theirs, finally the know best how to settle their differences and you who tries to interfere may become an enemy to them.
Even if he isn't neglecting her financial needs and fulfills every single requirement and even provides her with the best that is possible, being his life partner, she still has all the right to know what he is doing on her back and if he lies or hides something from her and she finds out about it herself, such a reaction is reasonable, I would say that she reacted pretty leniently and some wives would go way harder than just a threat.

One should imagine being in her shoes and then thinking how they would react to find out that their partner has been hiding something this big from them all this time and even at the end, he didn't tell her himself but she found out about it herself.
1516  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: May 31, 2023, 09:08:15 AM
Whether casinos are cheating there customers or not we need to know the kind of casino we are using so that we are not going to become a victim of circumstances. There are so many casinos that would want to manipulate things without minding the fate of there customers. Casinos always know how they make there money without anyone knowing.
there is no casino platform that is hundred percent sincere because all these platforms are casino have two or three ways they manipulate their things in order to ensure that they are asked advantages side of their customers casino platforms does not give you a hundred percent assurance of not binge eating their customers because without cheating of their customer they won't be able to make it their own money so that is the area that I found casino platforms
That's not entirely correct and I don't agree with that. Not all gambling platforms or casinos cheat their players so that they can get more revenue through the games being played by gamblers. Most reputable casinos, such as Stake, don't really need to cheat the gamblers so that they can earn more because they already earn enough revenue from the platform that they don't need to do it.

Only the new and untrustworthy platforms will think of such negative ways of increasing their earnings from players because they understand that they don't have a user base big enough to earn them a lot of money so they use such methods.
1517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker coming to stake.com in the near future ! on: May 31, 2023, 07:23:39 AM
On yesterday's stream Eddie said Poker should and will be coming to stake some time soon.
He didn't mention a specific time though.

I think that's a great idea. They basically get risk free money through collecting the rake. Having a super big player base this would be a HUGE opportunity for stake and for their players.

For people with skill at poker that might become a lucrative site. Many degen gamblers that just lost with casino games and sports might "try their luck" at poker, fishing time.  Grin
[...]
Unfortunately he seems to love to speak and announce many things but after that nothing happens for some reasons, especially when someone from the chat say one feature is missing during his live streams. But I wonder why they haven't already added it if they were interested in this matter. Even smaller casinos like Nitrobetting or Betnomi already have a poker room so it shouldn't be very hard for a big platform like Stake to create one.
This attitude reminds me of Elon Musk. You know Elon right? He is also good at making false promises but there are times he did it and then revised it. Don't know if he is confused or he is only playing tricks on us.

I think Eddie said it so that those peeps will hold on and continue playing on his site but they can always remind him again. If he still did not implement the feature, that should be the time for them to leave the casino. If they won't add it, it simply means they are not interested with it and they might be contented on what their existing features has to offer. Maybe they are earning decent with it?

So, why will they prioritize a single request coming from a normal user but as you said, there are casinos who has a poker room on them, so why can't the user go them instead? And maybe that is also the reason on why Eddie didn't bother making one.
1518  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: May 30, 2023, 02:04:51 PM
Bitcoin was invented to get rid of middlemen. Web3 does exactly that. We are trying to save you from middlemen and make more reliable platforms. So basically we serve the purpose of bitcoin, but since we accept wbtc instead of bitcoin, it's really sad that we can't find a place in this forum. I think they should reconsider on this.
The moderators obviously have nothing personal with you or your platform, what they are doing is to keep the forum organized and keep every thread where it belongs, and since you said yourself that people can use wBTC (Wrapped Bitcoin) for gambling on your platform, that makes it an altcoin casino because wBTC is actually an altcoin and not the original Bitcoin.

So I don't see moderators being the bad guy here as they are doing their job, nor do I say that your platform is bad or anything, it is just that they did what should be done. For suggestions, I can't give any as I haven't used your platform yet, will do that once I'm done trying it out anytime soon.
1519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: increased Youtube Gambling ads? on: May 30, 2023, 12:54:33 PM
If i'm not mistaken, ever since Youtube uplifted its ban on gambling ads, that's how whenever you are watching any of these kinds of videos (i.e gambling related, investment related or how to make money related videos), you will always come across those ads, of which I think maybe this period you might have been watching more of either of those 3 kinds of videos often for you to have been shown more of gambling ads, which I have also noticed about Facebook recently displaying gambling and the very ads I noticed the most is "Coin master".
I use a Android smartphone and a desktop PC, I have noticed that what we look for using google search engine will impact how our phones react in giving out information, news and advertisements, it's like those gadgets are build in a way that they know their users better than anyone, once I look into Chelsea football club, my prebuilt news app will always give me updates about Chelsea football club and important information going on with the football club.

What you use your gadgets for will be the way it will function on the users behalf, It doesn't take a thing to find out if your friends are fraudsters or por* addicts, just get a hold of their phone of PC, without looking into their search or browser history you will know what they have been up too.
[/quote]
That's how invasive all these social media platforms and search engines have become, they use us to run their businesses and our privacy is not of their concern at all because we give them the right to do whatever they want with us because we always agree with their terms and conditions and agree with them at the time of registration.

Cookies used by websites and apps track our activities and then use that to provide us with news and updates and advertisements based on our searches which are considered to be our interests, our interests are even sold to other companies so that they can target us for selling their products.
1520  Economy / Gambling / Re: Using ToS against users normal? on: May 30, 2023, 11:46:15 AM
If any one casino already have it in their terms and conditions that they can modify their ToS any time, that's a red flag and not safe to use, I will run away from such an online gambling platform because they can tramp on their users easily.

A online gambling platform that cares about their business and that of their customers must send out a notification via email address to all their users about the change of ToS and request them to go through the updates and changes before they start gambling starting from so and so date.

Because some users or customers might not like the new adjustments and they should be free to withdraw their funds and stop using the platform if they don't like the new rules of the platform.

If they can't do this, they can't be trusted.
Well, the decision depends on us if we want to stick with a casino or not after reading their terms and conditions, because we can't really object against their actions and even if we do, that wouldn't really make a difference for them and they will still do whatever they want. That is basically the reason why every gamblers should first read the terms and conditions before using a platform.

A trusted and reputable casino that cares about their reputation more than anything would obviously make some change but they would notify their users beforehand or at least after the changes have been made.
