1261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RFK Jr Says He Purchased Bitcoin For His Kids on: July 29, 2023, 05:18:41 PM
It's all about making it public or keeping it a secret, I'm pretty sure that a lot of famous people from all around the world and secretly stacking up Bitcoins and cryptocurrencies but they just don't make it public, even those who are fighting against it, like people in SEC or other organizations, even they might be buying and storing Bitcoins and cryptocurrencies because they all know that the time is right and it will surely go significantly up in the future.

Whatever they say or believe or show to the public, all we want is for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to prosper, and if they are slowly starting to adopt it, that is definitely going to help the cause, and that's what we want as Bitcoiners, as the time goes by, more and more people will come in front with their Bitcoin investments.
1262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 29, 2023, 02:30:11 PM
As early as possible, we should educate our children about the risks and negative effects of gambling to minors. We should inform them that they should avoid it while they're young as they will not be able to handle its risks. Parents has a huge responsibility on this and we can't blame everything on the child in case he falls into gambling addiction at an early age.
We should let them enjoy their childhood or teenage life away from gambling and let them do it when they can stand firm on their own.
We are the ones to blame once our kids has fallen into gambling without our kowledge because it is our role to monitor even their online activities. We should mold them while they're young and we shouldn't introduce gambling to them until they're able to provide for themselves.
Definitely, parents have their role to play, and they should play it with affection, calmness, and wisdom. A lot of parents behave very harshly with their children, not because they don't love them, but because they think they can control them this way, but the reality is totally opposite of that. Children who are beaten or scolded for every small thing, that are kept inside and not let to do anything at all, tend to do more bad things when they get older and get to go out.

So parents should always behave very softly, teach their children what is right and what is wrong but do it in a way that should stay in their hearts and minds forever, and they shouldn't do bad things out of love and respect for their parents because they will think they will get hurt or disrespected if their children are found involved in bad things.
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: July 28, 2023, 01:21:34 PM
It's true that we do get encouraged by our friends for doing a lot of things, some of them are good and some are bad. Some of us manage to dodge the bad ones while others can't and they get themselves and their family in trouble just because of a habit they got from their friends and the gatherings they get into. I used to have friends with bad habits too, they even used to ask me to do bad things like drinking alcohol and smoking, but I used to know my limits.
My first gambling game was started at my 19 years,I had get the influence from my friends. He is my childhood friend,So I had started my first gambling in offline. But my most of friends had lost his first game in gambling. But I had win the first game in dice with my luck. This was the reason of my long journey in the gambling.I had some game after my first game, but I was not addicted to the gambling. My friends also  get into the gambling addiction and all other bad habits like smoking and drinking.
Your friends that are using their properties to get money for gambling really need some help to get out of their addiction, with this route, they are going straight towards ruining their lives and coming on the road because gambling is not to make people rich, it's business for its owners and they are the only ones getting rich in all this process, so they need to stop before it's too late because this is real life and things can't be reversed once they are out of hand.

And you are right that no matter what one does with their friends, as long as they know they have enough self-control, they won't be picking up a habit out of it, I've done a lot of things with my friends just to have fun but I never got addicted to any of it, including gambling, so it's all fine as long as you can control your urges.
1264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: July 28, 2023, 04:53:41 AM
I'm not trying to say it's not possible to make a fortune out of gambling, but the thing  is that majority of the people that succeeded through gambling in their first trial would tell you that it was out of luck and not because they were very skillful or have strategies in winning most people just pick different options of games they feel would come out successful stake on it and boom, it's not something that you're guaranteed a certain amount of money daily or weekly and the success rate is not 100% guaranteed as well so why would anyone want to take it as their major source of income, even most punters doesn't even see gambling as their major income source they venture into other businesses with the money they made through gambling.
However taking gambling very seriously could make one be very addicted to it because since it's your major source of earning you would give all your time, focus, attention to it which has severally disadvantages cause it could affect your social life including your physical and mental health, it would even affect other areas of your work because you'll be giving more attention to it, that's why gambling should not be taken as one's major source of earning.
Those that take gambling as their only source of income basically don't do any other work, they are either extremely lazy to do a job or some work, or they believe in their so much that they think they will keep earning money constantly from gambling which has never happened with anyone on the history of gambling, people who got success in gambling didn't win constantly but they managed to hit big jackpots providing them with life-changing amounts of money.

And the percentage of people hitting jackpots that huge in casinos is way too small for a person to get inspired from it, people don't understand that only once in a blue moon a gambler manages to become rich through gambling and their luck works out in their favor, even then, if they don't stop gambling, they might lose everything back again.
1265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would You Advise People To Stake? on: July 27, 2023, 02:38:25 PM

If the user has a lot of ETH, why not. Institutions are also staking, he just has to figure out how many ETH he has so that he can already figure out how much he'd be earning for the whole year.

The Platform however is not very attractive with ETH staking. It's best that the user can sell when the bull run is closer to an end. This I guess is supposed to be learned. It's more reasonable to sell in the bull run in my opinion.
ETH isn't the only crypto that can't be staked but you are right that it requires a lot of ETH ( maybe over 10 ) for the user to start staking. Maybe institutions themselves are also doing it but they are mostly known as investors. It's important to calculate the rewards and the risk so that we will know if it's worth it or not.

We can still unstake our coins and then sell on the best times. It should give us a better profit than if we will do one activity only. There are indications if when will the bull run can possibly come. We only need to take note of those dates and stake in advance so that we can unstake easily and prepare for it once they are getting close.
1266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Michael Saylor a modern apostle like Peter and Paul? on: July 27, 2023, 01:19:10 PM
Aren't they already? So there is no need for Bitcoin to have a status like that ( the one you're saying ) but if that happens then many Bitcoin users are going to be happy about that. Bitcoin's adoption is already wide but it's still possible for it to become even wider. What is only unlikely is if it will replace the current global financial system. So many banks and financial institutions are against it, so they won't let that happen.

Maybe Peter and Paul played a big role in spreading Christianity but before it, I think we have Moses. I like Moses better to be the equivalent of Michael Saylor because like Moses who help the slaves, Saylor also help the people against the modern-day slavery through Bitcoin.
1267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are successful gamblers seen as addicts? on: July 27, 2023, 09:48:03 AM
I think it depends on how you look at it or interpret the word addict because it's almost undeniable that there are even some positive things even after labeled as an addict. But in most situations, addicts are synonymous with crackheads or someone who does things excessively because they already lost total control over themselves, cannot think clearly and the ability to weigh things correctly as well is already lost.
Addiction is a terrible thing, and we should avoid it by all means. Addicts are willing to go to any length to gamble on games, even if it means selling their valuables in order to obtain money to place wagers. Furthermore, an addicted gambler will not be profitable since he has no objectives, no risk management, and zero principles, only wagering without an alternative strategy. Although they are financial gamblers, successful gamblers cannot be regarded as addicted. They forecast games and provide profitable outcomes. It is imperative that we understand how to categorize these sets.
The main thing that an addicted gambler cannot keep discipline and will do things their own way what they think is right but isn't actually right, they don't care about how much money and time they've spent per day or per week, they don't care if their bankroll is getting exhausted, they wouldn't worry about them not being able to give any time to their family and friends, because they just don't have any control over themselves and their emotions.

Such a person cannot be a successful gambler, I mean how can you be a successful gambler if you can't stop gambling when you are already ahead of the house? If you still keep gambling only with the hope that you might win more, you will lose what you've won so far. So an addicted gambler cannot be a successful gambler, and a successful gambler shouldn't be called a gambling addict.
1268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Abuse ... on: July 27, 2023, 06:45:23 AM
After reading the whole story, I just churkle because I remembered what my grandma used to say to me: "Too much of everything is abuse." and the reason for her saying that to me was after I consumed a large amount of milk and began to vomit and Stooling, I totally fell sick and was hospitalised for almost a week. In relation to what I just said and about your narration and gambling, I would say that too much of everything is abuse. Food can be abused, drugs can be abused, positions can be abused, and many other things can be abused, and there are mostly some of them that you can't do anything about, no matter how hard you try. Can you ask someone who doesn't have a job to stop gambling? Yes, you can, but they will not stop because they are using it as a means of earning income. Although it still also depends on the individual, like I said before, I know of someone who is fully into gambling but is still paying his bills and taking care of his home, but with some other gamblers, it's usually the opposite.
Well, I think the context of the subject here is a bit different than what you described, we all know that excessive use of something is harmful to a person, whether it's abusing that thing or not, it's definitely not good for your own self, so when you do something that isn't good for yourself, you are not lawfully punishable for that since you are already punishing yourself by doing that, and that is exactly what is wrong with the point OP is trying to make.

When a person is using gambling as a way to earn money and losing all their money and stuff, there is no law that can ask them to stop, unless the constitutions of that country have a rule for it because the person is not abusing the casino as they are doing their business and a person gambling excessively is not an abuse to their business, so I don't see why a person should be punishable for doing that.
1269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 5 Bitcoins to never gamble again. Will you take it? on: July 27, 2023, 04:26:48 AM
I don't think there can be anyone who will refuse to take 5 BTC to stop gambling forever unless they are already rich and don't gamble so that they can get some money which is not the case with a lot of people. There are also people who are not rich but they gamble just for fun, and even those people would take the money and stop gambling forever because one can easily start a very good business from that money and earn money their whole life from it.

I'm not really sure what a gambling addict would think about this situation because they might be gambling to earn money but even if they take the money, they might not be able to control the urge after they have the money at hand, and if they gamble again, they will most probably lose it all in gambling.
1270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: July 27, 2023, 03:18:00 AM
Well, if should all should be honest with ourselves, greed is not entirely bad, every emotion that human exhibits has its good side and how benefit from it, but like its commonly said that too much or everything is bad, this also applies to being greedy, and one thing about greed is that it only requires a very little application of it in whatever its been applied on, anything more than required it becomes too much, and that is where the whole problem starts..

Like in trading, greed sometimes helps us with investments decisions, remember we are told to be greedy when others are fearful, and be fearful when other are greedy, if one can correctly apply this strategy, they may likely make good profit that is beyond their imagination, so lets not speak of greed as if it comes from the pit of hell, it is here to help us with that extra push, its application, how its been applied is where the problem lies.
No matter how we categorize it, it's still a negative thing to have, and we should know that negative things can barely become the reason for a positive outcome. Whether it's in a low quantity or high, it still makes us lose money when it enters our mind, and that is the case for most cases, now it might turn out to be good for someone on some occasions but that doesn't really make it a good thing, especially if we are talking about gambling, greed isn't a good thing for a gambler to have.

Humans can have all sorts of emotions, some of them are good and some are bad, just because we have it doesn't mean it should have a good side. A person who becomes evil and has evil emotions can never say that his evil thoughts and emotions have a positive side as well because we know it doesn't.
1271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: July 26, 2023, 04:54:25 PM
Why do people worry about Bidens health all that much, there are two things that matter, have you seen him make a decision that took the USA worse than what Trump would have done? This is important because the other candidate was Trump, and by looking at the past 3 years, would Trump been better in that case? I do not think so, I believe Biden did better and so far has better results if you ask me, doesn't mean nation is doing better, it just means he makes it less worse than Trump would have made.

Secondly, if something happens to him, who would be president. We all know that Kamala would, and in that case the question is this; would Kamala be worse than Trump? And I still think that she would not be worse than Trump, but I also think a toilet paper wouldn't be worse than Trump.
1272  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: July 26, 2023, 02:28:30 PM
Obviously, however we are not really talking about those games but games in which the skill of the player can overcome the odds given by the casino with skillful play, now computers are already better than humans playing poker, however this is a fair game in which all the players on average receive the same cards, however in theory it is possible to develop an AI which can beat the casinos in a game like sports bets, as there are already humans that can do so already and developing an AI with that level of skill should be possible.
I totally agree that there can be AI models that can play pretty well in games like Poker or BlackJack where the results aren't randomly generated other than the cards provided at the beginning of the game, also in sports betting, an AI model might be able to evaluate the teams or players participating in a particular game and provide the best guess based on the data it has used to analyze both sides, but an AI model can never be able to win against the house in casino games.

However, I believe the casinos will find a way to tackle this issue and they won't allow AI models to play, a gambler using an AI model will be detected and will probably be banned or restricted which will discourage other players willing to use AI to gamble because it can cause them the balance they have in their accounts.
1273  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Rise of Crypto Gambling: What You Need to Know on: July 26, 2023, 01:08:01 PM
I admire your trust in the casinos suggested by the community. But that doesnt mean you shouldnt do your homework before working with them anyway. Consider the casino's operational transparency, licensing, and history of managing customer complaints in addition to its position in online forums while making your decision.

That some people don't fully grasp KYC is a valid point. But I feel compelled to add that sniffing out wrongdoing is only part of the story. It's a rule that needs to be followed so that crimes like identity theft and financial fraud don't happen. It has nothing to do with how large or small a gambler you are and is instead a measure taken to maintain trustworthiness and openness in the online gambling system.
The people that are not easily willing to complete KYC verification at casinos when demanded are going to have nowhere to go for their gambling activities in the near future because there will be strict regulations then, and someone who doesn't complete their verification on time would simply not be allowed to use a platform, gambling is a very far thing, so people need to start getting used to this system because it is most likely here to stay.

While most of us believe that a casino that operates under a license tends to be more safe and secure for us and our assets, this small group of people think that a casino that has a license and asks for KYC verification is going against their privacy, like they are the only ones being asked for it.
1274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 26, 2023, 12:15:19 PM
Could take the other side on this subject, its never too early to learn.   Its better to learn all the rules and dynamics to any large subject before engaging personally with any possibly loss risking activity, we can apply that to guns, gambling, drugs anything.  Education isn't a bad thing, that perhaps should be the emphasis not a law just saying no.  I don't especially believe government does anything useful purely making a law to fine people and nothing else; we gained nothing but a tax from their oversight and regime so useless then Shocked
People might be horrified at this idea but I learnt statistics at an early age, its invariably helped me quantify all kinds of statistics and risks in life as well gambling factors leading to a win rather just all or nothing hopes and dreams.  For sure its a positive to educate people not blindly ban imo.
But, only if things are taken from a learning perspective. A lot of people would make the excuse that they will only do something so that they can learn about it, especially minors, but they will soon start abusing that right and will start using the thing for their pleasure or to get something out of it, which is the reason why there should always be some restrictions and regulations for certain things at certain ages in certain countries depending on the nature of the people.

That is why, though I do agree with you that there is nothing wrong in learning about things at an early age because that can be helpful in the future, there should still be some restrictions or at least the ones using those things so that they can learn about them should be under observation so that things don't go negative.
1275  Economy / Gambling / Re: what are the best crypto casinos! on: July 26, 2023, 07:19:48 AM
I won't argue with you on the fact that sportbet have such a low rating on trust pilot because most of the site that have such low rating on trust pilot have a great rating on other review sites,  and even on this forum,  and some other platforms that have tons of positive reviews on trust pilot how low review on other sites and forum where trust are measured by individuals in form of review from real users,  e.g such examples are casinos like 1xbit who's trust here in the forum is bad due to several resolved accusations against the casino and how there have paid little or no attention to those accusations thereby leaving players with no other choice than to leave a negative trust review for the casino.
And what baffles me is the statement written in the image as shown below circled with red marker as it read "We've removed a number of fake reviews for this company", and I'm still wondering what might have been the fake reviews which trustpilot removed about 1xbit if not the series of scam allegations placed against that website as a potential scam, and yet they have done nothing or intend doing nothing about it.  Which now clearly shows that for a site to be declare either trusted or fake, one dont have to depend on a review gotten from a single website.

Not sure about any other website, but Trustpilot should never be taken seriously when you are checking whether a platform or a website is trusted or not because the reviews on Trustpilot can be manipulated badly, a person can easily create multiple accounts on the platform, and give multiple positive or negative reviews to a website that they either like or dislike and the rating of that service or website will either go up or down after that.

So Trustpilot shouldn't really be a trusted source to check this thing, one should use a different service, as mentioned by someone earlier, a site like BTCGOSU should be a better alternative to Trustpilot and the reviews from it should be taken as a reference whether a service should be trusted or not.
1276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: July 26, 2023, 04:42:25 AM
Well, to be honest with you, i wont advice such, for the person or people out there who dont have the money to gamble, it is most advisable to them to get their ass up and work to earn money, there are many thing all around people can do to earn money, even if it is a menial jobs, just do it for the time being and raise money and look for a small business to start maybe, it is absolutely wrong to stay idle, playing free lottery and depending on luck, it is commonly said that manner does not fall from heaven anymore, it only happened once and will never happen again, you can be doing your menial jobs and still be trying out your luck with free lotteries if you find any free lottery anywhere, the most important thing here is that you are not idle.
that's right, people who want to play gambling must have income or a job in order to have capital to gamble and not depend on gambling or lottery games to get money.
make lottery games free or not and other gambling as entertainment and fun and hope for a little luck, so don't expect too much luck every time you play because it will mislead you and continue to pursue it without thinking that only having a job or business can make money.
Well, such people exist and they will always exist no matter what we say or do, they are never going to listen to us or anyone and they will keep doing what they are doing which is to try and earn a living through gambling because they are basically too lazy to go out and find a job or something to earn some money, all they want is to sit at home and earn money through either gambling or something that doesn't require a lot of efforts from them.

These kinds of people never listen to anyone, even their parents will get tired of telling them to go and find a job, earn some money, and live their life, but they just keep ignoring everything, they might realize it one day in the future when they have to get married and have a family of their own to take care of, but some don't work even after that.
1277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: July 25, 2023, 02:52:00 PM
In all honesty, the sports betting signals industry is a hyperbolic version of the "those who can't do, teach" scenario. Just like all those "millionaires" who drive for Uber yet post pictures of their flashy cars on Instagram.

Do the maths. Why waste time trying to sell your betting advise if you're already the best at what you do, as purportedly is the case with the "experts"? Why aren't they on Forbes' list of billionaires if they are doubling their money by betting on themselves and selling signals? Not quite adding up, is it?

The lack of openness is the most problematic aspect. Signal providers prey on inexperienced gamblers because they are easy targets. They profit regardless of whether the newcomers win or lose. It's rather shady if you ask me. If you see a "betting expert" in the future, you should be wary. Don't be a fool; use healthy scepticism.
I totally agree with that, it's like those YouTubers uploading videos like "How to get 100K views in a day" while having 100 views on their own videos that are a month old which proves that they might be directing you towards something but it doesn't mean that it is a guaranteed way towards success because if it was, they would apply it themselves and they wouldn't need to do anything else, so it is your own responsibility to evaluate everything and then take your decision.

And you are also right that these so-called experts usually target newbies because they know that these are the most vulnerable creatures in the industry and they are also very much desperate for earning money through gambling, so they get them with their marketing techniques and charge them money for the signals they provide regardless of the fact whether they are going to win or lose.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Casinos Go Bankrupt Because of Player Wins? on: July 25, 2023, 11:20:23 AM
In any case, I think that this is one of the ways that a casino can fail, in fact a casino is a very profitable company, but it is best to always start with a lot of capital, for whatever, also security is something that must always be invested in, security must be strengthened every week, now more than ever when AI is emerging it is something that makes any casino think, so different technical specialists must be hired, security must not be neglected for any reason, I know that now security with AI is emerging, but it is better to be at the forefront to avoid this type of thing, for a casino to lose capital is something very easy, if there is no good administration that is the first of all the problems that will come.
I'm sure most casinos nowadays are putting in huge funds for security purposes. It's something necessary and mandatory.

However, hackers really can find a way to enter a vulnerable part of a casino's security. The reason? Because these hackers are really focused on doing that to the point that most of their time only spend looking for ways to somehow breach the casino security.

Anyhow, if the casino is not spending too much hiring some good techies out there to ensure the safety of the casino funds, then for sure, they don't have the ability to even cover whole big winnings once their gamblers won big. Bankrupt will surely follow next.
Though I'm not entirely sure, I don't think that's how things work around there, casinos that are successful and have gained some name and fame have enough funds to both cover the security expenses and to pay their players, and they have their business models designed in a way that a player cannot technically win more than they can afford to pay them, and the maximum that they pay a player for the biggest win is not even close to 10% of their bankroll.

So the idea that a casino might go bankrupt only because a player wins big is not true unless it is a casino that has been started with a small bankroll with no proper business plans and everything, such a casino might go bankrupt if they allow their players to hit big jackpots and then not be able to pay up.
1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Chat GTP destroy poker on-line gambling??? on: July 25, 2023, 09:48:01 AM
I'll tell you something icy. Gaming AI is a double-edged sword. However, my friend, the edge isn't uniformly distributed. Casinos won. Their home, their rules. They'll find AI faster than supercharged bloodhounds. Your AI model will fail soon. No party invite, right?

Why is gambling AI so hyped? Why watch a machine play your hand? Doesn't the game's excitement, like the dice roll or card turn, make our hearts beat faster? Enjoy the celebration. Don't eliminate players. No bots!
But, only if people understand that I don't like this concept myself, I believe the essence of gambling will be lost if there are AI models everywhere managing the gambling accounts of people and playing for them instead of them gambling themselves, what's the fun even when you win something big but you are not even experiencing it yourself? Because the fun part of gambling is when you win something significant and you would want to see that happening for sure.

However, as you said, I'm pretty sure that casinos will find a way around it and they won't let AI ruin their businesses, they will build systems that will prevent AI models to participate in gambling and if AI can be able to gamble then it can definitely be able to identify if the gambler is a person or not.
1280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you quit that's when you lose! on: July 25, 2023, 08:24:18 AM
Walking away is always difficult because you never know what would have happened if you continued playing but at least you can leave with something instead of nothing.
I do know that this is the better way to be a gambler, playing with your senses to make proper decision for the next time opportunity to come but most of the gamblers who have had to play until they won may not agree to this and that is why we have many losers because the percentage of losers is always higher than those winning in gambling. However, to have a reserve is better than giving everything up and hope for a winning whose chance to achieve is limited.
Most gamblers don't walk away, they simply can't do it because of the urge that keeps them gambling telling them over and over again that they will win in the next few bets which never happens but they still keep their hopes up and keep gambling until they have nothing left and that is when they stop and get away, not because of anything else but because they have no money left to gamble more when they have more money, they deposit and start again.

I've seen a lot of gamblers doing that when they have exhausted their bankroll in the hope that they might hit a big win and recover everything, they simply deposit more if they have money somewhere, and they might even lose that too, and then start regretting, but they just can't stop themselves.
