441  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach 10k$ at this time? on: July 18, 2018, 11:19:49 AM

I hope so. A lot of good news were spread over the internet about crypto, if all those who are expecting profit are going to buy all these news the price could probably reach more than $10K. I would have to wait for price to go more than $20K actually, as that was the all time high of BTC. Its got to be great to hold a token that's worth just a cent to see how much it could grow.
Most people hope Bitcoin prices can reach this price and I believe it could happen early in 2018. The market is entering a very good recovery period in the last few days because only Bitcoin will increase the market capitalization will increase. Personally I would keep Bitcoin in this period and save a lot Bitcoin because I have a strong belief in this market.

Everything is possible and it would really great if the crypto market can recover so well. Though, I still have my doubts about whether this is the final call to moon.
442  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Future Of Crypto Market Without Bitcoin? on: July 18, 2018, 11:17:19 AM
Bitcoin has now become the leading icon in cryptocurrency, so I think if there is no bitcoin in cryptocurrency then cryptocurrency trend will decrease unless other coin can make big spike like bitcoin.

I think BTC is so infiltrated in the crypto market that its disappearance would temporarily cause chaos but then the crypto market will recover by the new coin dominator.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When do you know its time to sell your altcoins? on: July 18, 2018, 11:14:53 AM
When you have made sufficient profits, or incured too much lossess.
You can have a profit limit, and a stop loss limit.
I agree. Usually, you'd sell when the coin is incurring too much loss you can't afford from the initial bought price or when there are clearly better alctoincs than the current ones with a stagnant trend.
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problems can Bitcoin & Blockchain solve ?? on: July 17, 2018, 09:17:19 PM
What problems in the world can Bitcoin and blockchain technology solve ?

The blockchain technology can solve many problems. It's a decentralised, immutable, trustless ledger (database)... There are tons of scenario's that pop to mind, basically any scenario where equal partners want to create a database between them, but don't fully trust one partner to run a classical database out of fear this one partner that hosts the db would tamper with the data.

You can use a blockchain database to store insurance information and share it between insurance companies and individuals; univeristy's can use it to store hashes of grades, titles, diploma's, so somebody interviewing for a job can immediately be crosschecked about the diploma's he/she claims to have;... and those are just 2 commonly known examples.

For bitcoin, the blockchain technology solves, amongst other things, the double spending problem. By storing transactions onto a decentral, trustless, immutable ledger, people can not double spend unspent outputs without their transactions getting rejected (given that the first transaction is already included in a block at the time the double spending transaction is broadcasted).

Even the people that hate crypto currencies see the potential behind the blockchain technology Smiley

In short, problems that are trust related. Banks startes from escrowing services due to the lack of trust of the people to each other and I can't blame them for that. But now, with the introduction of blockchain and smart contracts, we can now transact online with confidence and assurance that the contract would be implemented

Exactly, it assures both parties have no control over the order to be fulfilled and only the smart contract algorithms will take care of that issue.
445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Exchange In Japan Is Offering Bitcoin Loan on: July 17, 2018, 09:15:13 PM
Japanese Cryptocurrency exchange Bitbank has made an announcement to commence BTC-USD, a Bitcoin borrowing program. The idea has been developed to engage more new customers along with enhancing additional foreign exchange.
https://www.owltmarket.com/cryptocurrency-exchange-in-japan-is-offering-bitcoin-loan/
Wow this is really an innovative strategy to promote bitcoin. Bitcoin has relatively gone so far on its mileage of achievement though there are many critics on it but still bitcoin continue to strive and prove its worth. Well i had enough loan on bank and i am not qualified on this even if they offer it outside on their country.
Exchanges in Japan looks like banks, they applied KYC and AML regulations, so using a loan in BTC seems very similar when you use a normal bank's loan. The difference is that if you don't have incomes in BTC, you can have a problem with the exchange rate (e.g. if the BTC price goes to the moon, you have to pay back much more in fiat compared to the amount you have received in the beginning)

If this is true, then this is a terrible idea. People are already knee deep into debt and now they need to take loans on something that are very volatile.  Huh I should think that the loan is only applicable on the fiat capital that were funded at the time of the transaction, by the Bank. <So on the date of the loan, you buy $10 000 worth of bitcoins and you only pay back that amount and not the increased value of those bitcoins>

You would be stupid to pay back a loan on the basis that the loaned amount increased based on the price of Bitcoin. Last year the price increased by 800%+

I very much agree. This situation would only seem to aggregate and further complicate things at both ends. It would be best to agree on the BTC at the time of purchase + IR
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which one do you choose? on: July 16, 2018, 01:08:43 AM
Most of the time I use Binance, because Bittrex always annoys me with IP login issues. Binance has started to do the same now, so eventually I'll probably move to an exchange that has optional 2FA, as if I've passed both google auth and password prompt, I shouldn't get an IP lockout, that's just stupid.
447  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy in your country on: July 16, 2018, 01:04:03 AM
The government here is actually quite solid. We have high taxes so must of our basic needs are met by government services, e.g. health insurance and housing etc. The crypto-economy is also booming, so all is good.
448  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future blockchain on: July 16, 2018, 01:02:56 AM
I think most future blockchains will incorporate the interplanetary file transfer system (IPFS) as it allows smart contracts to be developed that actually have some function other than being a gimmick or money grab.
449  Economy / Speculation / Re: Main reason for the price drop on: July 16, 2018, 01:01:53 AM
Since there's been a lot of negative FUD related to BTC lately, (hacking, regulations etc) it always leads to a downwards spiral. I am surprised it has lasted as long as it has though.
450  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Seriously, why would anyone want $20 Billion Dollars? on: July 14, 2018, 10:46:42 PM
For now, even 20 billion dollars would do, even less but your point taken exactly even after getting that I'd still won't be happy and would want more, is just the greed of human nature to become God like
451  Economy / Speculation / Re: Main reason for the price drop on: July 14, 2018, 10:42:44 PM
I think that all market manipulations are normal in crypto and happen all the time. We should learn how to spot an upcoming pump and get in early

This is a market correction which is normal. An equally, probable reason for the drop would be whales and of course a handful of traders who take advantage of this correction
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: July 14, 2018, 10:37:08 PM
ETH is currently doing good so there's a chance that it might be a good competition for bitcoin.
Yeah, I agree with you. Ethereum is doing quite well, already becoming the second most popular accepted crypto based payment, who know how it will unfold in the future?
453  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hodlers will not change the world on: July 14, 2018, 10:34:11 PM
I think you had a point,if a lot of people keep on holding their is a possibility that crypto will die that,s why we need to do something to make a crypto market balance. But i also think that people holding their coins because of possible losses due to the market situation. Maybe there is another way we can do to help market rise with or with out holding our coins.

Fair point. But the only reason HODLers are holding their coins is as an attempt to be safer and cut down on losses and to change the mentality would be really difficult and no one would want to take the hit, apart from traders but these people live on risk
454  Other / Meta / Re: Do you consider this as begging? on: July 13, 2018, 10:09:35 PM

There are people much worse than this guy here, they are sending PMs to high ranked trusted members for merit. That is what begging would mean, this is not begging.

Ya I agree with the general sentiment of the thread, it's not different that a BTC addy there, ie not begging, just annoying LOL!  Cool

Nahhh, that's just so obvious, I actually don't think it could have been made more obvious. Such desperation after a while is not even funny but annoying
455  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Be calm when the market falls on: July 13, 2018, 10:07:03 PM
I think it's best to wait until you have a bigger chance, the only goal is to profit. If you have extra money, you can collect coins from cheap price and get a big profit for the future. Already these falls happen all the time and in this case you need to know how to make profits.
That's right. Keep clam and seize the investment opportunity if you feel you have some extra cash. This is the best thing to do on a market drop like this
456  Economy / Speculation / Re: Main reason for the price drop on: July 13, 2018, 10:05:20 PM
There are quite a few reasons for the current price drop, but as far as I know the market capitalization has dropped dramatically, so it is possible that the whaling withdrawal from the market.

Yeas, I think the 'whale-effect' as I like to call it may be a plausible reason for this price drop or maybe even the new negative press the people picked and existed instead.
457  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What should I learn to be a professional trader? on: July 13, 2018, 10:03:07 PM
The firs thing that you need to learn, is how to control yourself while trading, and how to make profits without being too exhausted about the market situation, just relax.

Its good to aim high, but maybe just start somewhere, small not jump straight to professionalism, ehh? Get to know the market and what it means, is the first thing to learn for achieving your goal.
458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can We Finally Call This the DEATH of Bitcoin?!? on: July 13, 2018, 10:00:59 PM
From where this people are coming from?

You have all be warned when bitcoin was moving towards $20K that you shouldn't invest, and no one listened.

You created bubble. Yes, you!

Now you are saying bitcoin is dead?

Yes, it is dead, now hit ALT + F4, delete this forum from bookmarks and all other crypto sites, go away and never use bitcoin again. Leave other bitcoiners alone.

Yeah, this entire thread  title is quite bold, is it bold? or ... something else?
No, of course, not! And it sounds almost as if you almost eager to see it going that way from your strong use of language.
459  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can blockchain ever be environmentally friendly on: July 13, 2018, 09:57:53 PM
Actually Block chain is really great inventions based on this statement its more environment friendly because it uses hydro power so it doesn’t use fuel based on this it is also environment friendly also its a online process so there is less chances of this.

So, yes, the answer is blockchain can be environmentally friendly if we switch to the use of sustainable and renewable energy, from hyrdo to turbine and solar, though this may face issues of efficiency and scale-ability.
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Run On AI? on: July 13, 2018, 09:54:46 PM
Bitcoin can really run using artificial intelligence. But the risk is also high since artificial intelligence can also be prone to hacking or its program can have an error. This could be possible if the program of the Artificial Intelligence is perfect and even if we run into problems the system can assist us. If everything is perfect then I will vote for the use of the AI but if it is not then I will not risk my bitcoin and investment.

To add to that further, the algorithms written for a so called "AI" are limited and before you even have AI running anything it fist needs to be trained on massive amounts of data in order to recognize patterns and trends to then calculate probabilities prior to committing to generating an outcome.  Having said that, my opinion is we're far from utilizing this technology.
