1361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LAMBO Coin 905% POS per Year / continued ... on: October 26, 2018, 01:43:05 PM
I'm writing a book on the value of using staking wallets, on the GrowthCoin dev team, so I can't get involved in this much.  But read the thread and see if we can developer another explorer.

You generally can't rely on Newbie accounts here, sometimes you can but you need people to be serious.

This is a fun coin and was great trading.  Doesn't seem like much of a team now, which is hard to believe.  No trekkies in crypto? lol

The problem with all good staking coins is that people are not smart enough to use staking wallets to earn coins.  The level of computer skills of the general public is very poor, and cryptocurrency enthusiasts are a little better but often not much.

Well they just have to keep their wallet open, don't they?

Yes, but people don't know how easy it is to backup a wallet.

What other aspects of staking are you addressing in your book?

I have a suite of coins that are high staking and lower entry coins (VersionCoin, Healthyworm, Bitradio, Chess, Compound, StackBit. Bottlecaps, and GrowthCoin).  Trying to teach about team building and trading this coins.

I have published over 8 books with ISBN #s on Amazon and other sites and I'm writing a book on staking wallets and coins.

Can you please refer us to those books?

http://telicalbooks.com/

So all the 7 books that are in http://telicalbooks.com/publications.html are yours? (And what is the 8th?)

I have other books I've written at www.rspearson.com

Most of the book is finished so if I don't have to focus on other work I can get it published soon.

Is it hosted somewhere we can view it?

It will be on Amazon when it's done.  So far one person has donated last time I checked my wallets.  I'm financially stable but have to work 40 hour weeks (at home doing various things).

Okay, but it's hard to donate for a book we don't know much about ...

I don't want to get copied, I want to keep enough of it private before publishing.

Here is an example:

"People talk about how to earn passive income with masternodes, but I do the same thing with three older computers that are on all the time running staking wallets.  It's cheaper than buying a node anywhere and diversified, too.   You can start small and let your stakes build, buying your coins low and selling them when they get high."

If I just owned millions because of chesscoin... Chess players all over the right now has a decent chess playing website with chesscoin as its general currency. Sadly, I just don't have any chesscoin at all...

Well the market cap of ChessCoin is $160k so a bit far from millions, but your intention is laudable Smiley.

I want to get more publicity for CompoudCoin and the other coins I'm staking.  I'm posting this to some of the staking coins that I support and stake.  It's about a need to get more people running staking wallets at home.

The problem with all good staking coins is that people are not smart enough to use staking wallets to earn coins.  The level of computer skills of the general public is very poor, and cryptocurrency enthusiasts are a little better but often not much.

I have published over 8 books with ISBN #s on Amazon and other sites and I'm writing a book on staking wallets and coins.  I have supported Compoundcoin for a while now and need to work other things besides crypto.  If you want to help me to focus on the book, here is my Compound coin wallet address: CRVZd4EGnq8zBBfmQKhCbHGCV8ZNFDPMUV

Most of the book is finished so if I don't have to focus on other work I can get it published soon.   So far only one person has donated so I'm not getting rich off this.

1367  Economy / Services / Re: Can you design a cryptocurrency logo? on: October 24, 2018, 03:11:28 PM
Have you considered hosting a logo creation contest? You can get the best possible output from a lot of designers in here and this will give you a vast option to choose from.
An example of logo contest that recently ended in here is this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4732521.msg42757654#msg42757654

Thank you.  I think we'll do that.

Can you design a cryptocurrency logo?

I am part of a development team of a five year old Altcoin which is really nice.  It's based on staking wallets, which is a earth-friendly way of distributing a blockchain.  The concept should be based on something growing, like how people earn coins by keeping their wallets open on their computer.  I can help you learn cryptocurrency skills, either trading, mining or staking.

The coin is GrowthCoin and we can pay you in it.

We may have to work together until we get something that is in line with similar logos in the industry.  Please just don't send artwork and expect to be paid if it doesn't meet our idea of the right logo.

What is the current staking percentage of this coin?

17

That's pretty good.

I am posting this to the staking coin threads I support.

with all the new music poping up and with all the ideas we have for this great coin i think the dev should work toward getting it accepted by music loves first and then we can push it hard on everyone else

Agreed.  Being in DOGE territory isn't death for a coin.

Here is something I'm posting to the coins I stake and support:

The problem with all good staking coins (and 8% is still relatively good) is that people are not smart enough to use staking wallets to earn coins.  The level of computer skills of the general public is very poor, and cryptocurrency enthusiasts are a little better but often not much.

I have published over 8 books with ISBN #s on Amazon and other sites and I'm writing a book on staking wallets and coins.  I have supported Inflation coin for about a year now and need to work other things besides crypto to get by.  If you want to help me to focus on the book, here is my inflation coin wallet address:  iPjLoiJSahjRkQA4JJMAdZGmvoGtptFNiE

When I download the new SBIT wallet version 2, Microsoft automatically cancels it, reporting a severe level of trojan.
Anybody else get this?

Yes, I got the same thing with Avast.  You have to quarantine it with your anti-virus if you want to use it.  I haven't seen anyone do any further testing on it but it seems to be fine.

wow is dvrs still trading, i thought this coin died long ago?

There is an active Dev team.    I'm not vouching for anything, but they look legit.  I don't see any signs of a cash grab.

1379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [KOBO] Kobocoin - An African peer to peer payment/micropayment system on: October 21, 2018, 10:28:33 AM
The Golix exchange in Zimbabwe has agreed to list KOBO. This is fantastic news and a very big break. Zimbabwe is the biggest cryptocurrency market in Africa, and Golix is the largest exchange. They only accept cryptos that have a use case for Africa, so KOBO will be one of a small select group listed on the exchange. When the listing goes live, people will be able to buy KOBO directly in crypto, NGN (Nigerian Naira), KES (Kenya Shilling), ZAR (South African Rand) to name a few. As part of the listing process they'll also be helping to grow the KOBO community within Africa. They're a great outfit.

There are a few more stages to go through but we now have an exchange in Africa. KOBO's coming home! Smiley

There are now 2 options:

1. Go ahead with the listing now, before the code update.
2. Wait till the code update is completed, and then launch the updated website at the same time as the exchange listing.

The code update will start end Oct and be completed by end Dec. I'm happy to wait till the new year and launch the new website and Golix listing together. There's also nothing wrong with getting the listing up and running now so that the market is mature by the time the new website is launched.
Whatever way it happens, with the code update, Coinomi wallet and Golix markets, KOBO will be tooled up and ready to go to market. It's then about building the community and marketing the brand (which Golix also helps with as part of the service).

TT
Felix,

Just a quick note, the kobocoin explorer at cryptoid, requires payment its in a grace period, you may have noticed already and have plans Smiley

Have a nice weekend,
Regards.

K.

It's not that hard to make block explorers.   I think the first thing has to be trust though in the server that hosts it and someone who knows how to set it up and maintain it in relationship to the wallets.
