By that time everything was different. Today is very easy to judge what happened etc...
but that time we want or not was really the biggest exchange on the market.. up to that point all my deposits and withdrawals personally was working good.
This moment of signals for example you mention some people start to withdraw btc, and some was lucky some others not as more issues was coming up..
The point is that yet we don't know the truth exactly... and of course why i should loose all my coins for example ? if we see the price today and the price of the time of closing the exchange is possible to return to me 100% in fiat or BTC.... do you think that? i can't recall now the price but i think about $470 ( correct me if i am wrong but is about there ) and today price of $1.108 is more than double the price... don't tell me that if they sell in one piece etc will take down the price of btc because they can do that as we speak for 2-3 months for example with blocks of 10, 20 or more in blocks of 20 would need 10.000 orders and this is something they can do as we speak who knows...

I can choose not answer to you from the attitude of your post, if i get it right...since it's clear you not give a sh... for the members of this community and as for me i am an early adopter that spread the world the news about bitcoin, many people listen to me and are now involved actively in the bitcoin land... anyway...
let me have a different opinion if nobody cares any more...
i will be happy if i get 1% this is not the case here... the case is that the people that we was in the gox exchange at that time, was mostly early adopters and miners etc... not bears etc.. of course this type also was and if you have $10.000.000 and lose some is not the same like in our case that we lost almost 100% of our holdings back then...
so little respect to the people that lost their money is not bad..... if you attitude was different and i misunderstood then it's all good...
but trust me, many people care and wait the result of this situation...

those good old times that we really experienced bit moon walks is hard to come  will come only if i see the price from 1055 euro we are now at 12.000euro for example... of course compare with the $7 that i entered the bitcoin land seriously now we are in good path and let's see where we go from here the orders are on fire i love watching the charts and trades now! for me today was not a trade day i'm waiting |

What are the chances of another "China bans bitcoin for the 97th time" story sometime between now and $1242....  i think this story not find readers any more they will come up with something new maybe they will try to promote disapproval of the ETF as a catastrophe (if it will not get approved)but we all know, no matter what, Bitcoin road long term is only UP! Indeed. I'm considering shorting before the allegedly 'catastrophic' ETF news causes the inevitable selling, just so I can accumulate more coins prior to the impending shot at the moon! just keep in mind that if you also agree on that and thinking about that coming its not only you and me that we expect this to happen..and if all the traders wait for that maybe happen something before that or after that... i know nothing.. i just say better be safe than sorry sometimes and here the news regarding the ETF are on fire.. so in my opinion something smells here... |

After I known bitcoin, I think is the best that promise huge profits, so I took the decision to make the bitcoin as one long term investment.
as what? what field you chose to make bitcoin the long term bitcoin. bitcoin it self a long term investment. but you still need to choose something to do with bitcoin. only holding bitcoin is good but keeping them circulating in profitable businesses is much better than keeping them in wallet and idle. I think for now, the most profitable investment where you are guaranteed with lesser risk is by putting your bitcoins in a bankroll of a gambling sites at your choice, we know gambling industry is very profitable, so this should be a win-win for us in the long run. Just like doubling your potential to earn more. this is what i was thinking, but i need to find a site where to make an investment and do not scam me Even looking a less risky investment the owner can just run away with members bitcoin and bankroll investors as well, soo you can loose the investement as well the profit you had made over those, its hard decisions to take, lending, trading or investing isnt something easy since several bad people searching an way to exploit something to get control over some good projects. I think arbitrage trading is the way out for him, it's way safer and profitable. Read and research a little bit on the subject and you'll never regret. I have done Arbitage with certain exchanges in the past (in fiat currencies and not cryptocurrency) and I make sure significant profits although I now do Arbitage in gambling (sports betting) where it's even more profitable I still feel you can try Arbitage trading and grow your money. since ti don't know anything about arbitrage trading. what is your proposal? can you give us a practical example of what is the result and what is the amount needed to start? (to have a good result not 5$ ) |

I never had any personal experiences with Gox, because by the time I got into bitcoin, they were already experiencing a lot of problems, so I did not feel comfortable risking sending anything to them.. and I was also in the very early accumulation stages too, rather than trading.
Do you have an active and pending claim with Gox? If so, is your claim being handled through Kraken? There were some folks who sold their claims, too.
I have some money that is still tied up in the Bitfinex situation... and even though that is a different situation, it does serve as a kind of example of an alternative way to engage in risk and to lose coins and/or opportunities within the bitcoin space.
Yes i have active and approved claim for BTC and FIAT on Gox... i did not sold my claim, this news never reached me and since you mention that for how much they sold? an estimate % to understand i ask.. EDIT: i hope the best for your situation on Bitfinex and if possible to get them all back ! |

Such methods to scam people are very common. Just think about it mate, if someone really found out how to run some software which will make money on its own with no input from them, it would make them a millionaire in a few months. Then why would that person share the secret to others? Just out of kindness? probably not and hence these type of offers are mainly viruses and malware to steal your data and ruin your computer. Be careful of "too goo to be true" offers and learn to trust your instincts because otherwise you will end up with zero cash just because of your own greed. my question was not exactly real and glad you answered logical.. i wanted just to understand if this thread is a zombie one because i read the same and the same from many people here. i could not believe my eyes what i was reading and i did the same wtf question and waited to see if actually someone was going to say me: yes of course....try this etc.. i am in the btc world many years and i can say this: do what you do in your real life and only ask payment method BTC... this for sure will work if you try enough! good luck everybody! |

I did not loose anything... and despite your position i actually win some btc on the buy back of 50%, it was not many but the most important it was that was not minus lucky for me there are always people that sell cheaper... all my trades and buy orders closed lucky for me. Long answer but this is for the 1st part of your post to tell you my day started very good! and if you did see my posts was not all day how you wrote. I can't really tell you about the campaign i never counted, what i can say is that i check once per week to see that is active. I don't know how you can think this way, i can't resist of making bigger my wallet this is true! it's another thing to trade when i feel (i mentioned as far as i remember in all my posts - if not all to 90%, and i wrote every time, my feeling, for me worked very good ) and another thing the cold wallet. and also a very small portion that i play with it i remember 1 year and something before with this playing portion i bought some ETH in very low price.... (i also bought many others but after 1 year was about 0.023 if i remember good and short them out ). Now that i gave you answers to your questions i am open to answer you in any other question but can i ask for something? is it possible to say me about you 1st? what was the day for you? you trade at all? or you keep your coins if have any and just making questions here? also do you find it bad to share feelings about price? ( i don't , i like it very much...in past at the early gox times where i had my 99% of the coins i won money because of some people feeling you know? - doesn't matter of course that after loose all when getting goxed but here we are again with btc again in my possession - hope also for some return from the goxed ones ) |

it gives me real pleasure the fact that you speak with hypothetical scenarios and have very easy this thing to judge and put "labels" to people that are in this community since the early days like the one i read as "disingenuous"... Well one mistake i did... i wrote this post before the sell of that took us down to 976.99.... and did not post it right away.. since my biggest concern was my assets... by the time i finished with my sell orders i did the last one at 990 euro... of course i will not say you how much it is but believe me it's not .5 like you said.... Get real people and don't judge people that really posted what was going on in that specific time.. and for me 22 euro down was a very good moment to win some more BTC... i really not understand how exactly you can say something personal without any real clue on what you say... makes me thinking about who is just making shit up... be loved people and if you have nothing more than in personal level to write, and only judge then i know some good reality shows and gossip websites that asks for this kind of people |

what just happened? i see kraken moving to 976.99 euro... this was just a small dump or we have more coming ?? I know I'm just being impatient but this is starting to get quite disheartening. Especially after I've been buying like mad to get in under €1,000 this feels like such an anti-climax! Hopefully tomorrow when the banks reopen we might start to see more movement in the right direction  until tomorrow we have many hours to trade.. and the direction now seems to be down.. why this dumps happening ? any idea? i sold 50% at 990 euro i am afraid that this is going to continue... it is at 991 € now. when will you get nervous about buying back? i tried what you did several times. but it always seemed a lot of stress/fear that i would end up losing btc. i thing this dump isn't over. if you want to be calm then don't trade more than you can loose 1st rule in my opinion. secondly put the chart to 6h and you will be more calm. nobody is going to make money for you or tell you how etc... you need take the risk... sometimes i did risk and will 2x some times i lost...it's how the game works... but not i did not buy back and will not yet... my feeling says this dump isn't over// |
