982  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your take on the pump coming? on: October 16, 2023, 03:34:20 PM
I sense that very soon the pump will start to shame all those folks who feel btc is failed project.
The fact that Bitcoin has existed over 10 years and still going strong makes it a successful project and nowhere near failed!!

We are expecting the bullish price to pump 60k straight up even against all odds. Those who are well position for the market can see the evidence this night is already 30k plus. I can only believe that bitcoin will do better than ever, though not withstanding we should invest wisely while waiting the pump.
As much as am on Bitcoins side, let's not only anticipate pumps only as our markets have Bulls and bears getting at each other and whoever wins decides where markets go.
Besides if you aren't a hodler waiting for a pump, you can actually make money going long or short and don't need to always wait for the pumps, let's get ahead of the game! Trade smarter not harder.

If my plans works out am ready to buy more and store! But what's your take on the pump? Do you see it coming or am just doing illusion?
Let's hear from you.
So many events that work in favour of Bitcoin...
  • The highly anticipated BTC halving
  • Spot ETF approval
  • Ferrari and other big companies adopting crypto payments direct/indirectly
983  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Crypto Signals? on: October 16, 2023, 02:16:32 PM
There are a lot of Crypto Signal Providers - about 5 of them are at the top of the list.
Top list?? Which list and what's the credibility of this source making the list !?

And the fact that I also know that some of these signal providers are imposters that are in a habit of reposting paid up signals and claiming to be their work all in trying to lure users into paying for subscriptions for a service they aren't good at.

They claim 80% accuracy.
I googled reviews and I read nothing but good things about them.
If they were bad signals people would give bad reviews.

If they do have 80% accuracy, then anyone who uses them would become wealthy in a short time.
Do you use any crypto signals?
Firstly when it comes to trading, I know for a fact that no one has this high of a winning percentage especially that they have most likely been trading for a while and this is clearly a cooked up number!

Secondly, reviews can be bought and anything that praises the service should be taken with a pinch of salt because we all no the reviews are fake .

Best advice is try make time to learn how to trade on your own and avoid the reliance of third parties that forward other peoples work and likely trade on demo to fake their profits.
984  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Reward for a Trading Mentor on: October 16, 2023, 12:25:08 PM
I have a fair knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I can hold down a good conversation in it however when it comes to trading, I have come to the point where I need to up my game.
Great you have identified your shortfalls, time to grab the the bull by its horns and sharp your trading skills, good luck.

What is the best reward for mentorship? How do you think I should reward the mentor when I have one? And how often should this be?
Best reward a student can give their mentor is them proving to themselves that they have the full understanding of the mentors strategy and ready to go out their on their own to milk the markets.

And why think of rewarding a mentor when I believe that their services are hardly free, and they get their joy from these subscriptions.

If you guys can give me some ideas, it will help me to take charge of the conversation when I meet with the potential mentor.

Thanks.
Forget about the rewards, just enroll yourself for a trading class and in no time you will be a pro (with practice of course)
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Drake's Curse. on: October 16, 2023, 08:56:27 AM
Now, the big question is this.... Is Drake being funded by Stake.com to make these huge bets, because he is an affiliate and a brand ambassador for Stake.com.  Huh
Naturally people who place such big bets on their personal accounts never put such bets out for the world to see, but with Drake it's different and being the brand ambassador  this puts stake name on the gambling map and also shows the world they are able to handle big bets without a problem which is also  Drake doing his job as a marketing and sales personnel !

The same thing apply to his occasional gambling streams, where he gives away tons of money. It is one thing using your own money, but paid streamers are playing with casino money.

Will we ever know what happens behind closed doors.... right.  Tongue
Am pretty sure his playing on the companies account as he has other ways Stake pays for his patronage... probably his cut is based on commissions and all new members he onboards to Stake.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Drake's Curse. on: October 16, 2023, 07:17:45 AM
Ouch, how do you even explain to your friends that you  lost a bet but your pick was the right one  Cry

Actually this loss is proof of how far greed can go and has nothing to do with the curse, had drake gone with match winner he would have gotten back that 850k with lower profits but wanted to get more money on this, better luck next time Drake.

I don't know about being "cursed" but I think he made a logical decision on Logan winning by KO or TKO. He just made a bad choice placing bets on these types of matches where it's more likely to get rigged than real professional boxing.
Wait a second, are you saying this match was rigged and all that choking and stuff was planned all along ??

AFAIK if a boxer has discipline issues, such off course behaviour is expected and that is what happened and got DQed

988  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it easy to trust someone? on: October 15, 2023, 07:39:21 PM
A lot of questions have no answers, but only a few have the right answers to 95% of some questions. Well, let me start with trust. Can you trust a person, either a friend, family or a relative, with 100% complete trust?
Trust must be earned!

And the fact that history has shown that friends and family tend to take such relationships foregranted and will screw you over knowing very well they will ask for forgiveness and reset their bad reputation all because you are related. But if someone proves to be a reliable person with small financial favours I like they deserve to be trusted as it starts from somewhere but not 100% as you need to leave room for disappointment.

if you have a person that you fully trust with your ATM pin, can you also trust that same person with your seed phrase?
If the person still has access to your bank card and knows the pin and is authorised to use these funds but doesn't spend a dime then the person deserves to be a recipient of this backup seedphrase as the bank pin isn't much different from the seedphrase, and shown a sense of responsibility and earned the trust.
989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ferrari introduced BTC payment option for their cars on: October 15, 2023, 06:17:57 PM
This is a game changer and because this was initiated by customer requests I see this spilling over to other car brands and knowing very well that there is alot of idea borrowing when it comes to the sales business, expect to see the automobile industry ready to jump on the Bitcoin boat and BTC price to jump up very soon.

Hope Elon Musk doesn't feel like a trendsetter in this because he bailed on us and left us for dead after attacking the markets indirectly with his mining comments but not too late to get back onboard.

Btw I wonder what effect Toyota would have if they said they are ready to accept Bitcoin knowing very well they are the largest car manufacturers and Carter for all markets and budgets... Whatever the outcome great move Ferrari.
990  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary Members Spread Completely Fake Information - Merit System Do Not Work on: October 15, 2023, 04:22:01 PM
As much as the merit system has been brought in the spotlight, this thread did not get any merits for it .
And the fact that the OP isn't a medical doctor either (by assumption) this should mean the OP was simply expressing their opinion and not giving expert advice , hence DYOR to get facts or seek medical advice in relation to the topic. Btw, that's why medical doctors actually discourage self prescription because there is so much information out there which is good & bad and an ordinary person won't sieve out the bad information and we are advised to see a doc.

And with this, we have to appreciate how the forum is structured to allow users to express their opinions freely , BCT is the place to be #true_freedom

BADecker only writes in the Politics and Society section. Personally, I have not read any of his posts outside of this section. I am surprised if he is only interested in politics, why does he choose the Bitcoin forum to post in?
Probably that's the board he finds his strength and joy, like some users only post in mining or Bitcoin technical support or  gambling for instance etcetera
991  Economy / Gambling / Re: COINS.GAME | THE MOST REWARDING CRYPTO CASINO | SPORTSBOOK & CASINO on: October 15, 2023, 03:34:57 PM
Am experiencing the reverse actually. I won every single one of my bets(Single Moneyline)
When it comes to sports betting you have a better chance of winning when going with the single bets like you did, nice strategy just don't change the winning formula.

Wish I placed them all in a big parlay though since I would have made a killing when compared to single bets.
Lol doesn't work like this unfortunately  Roll Eyes

Otherwise COINS.GAME sportsbook is growing on me but it would be nice to see more markets here, and that "accept new changes " message tends to be annoying when trying to be an accumulator wish we had the "accept any changes" so that I build my accumulator in peace and not constantly making changes otherwise overall experience was great.

I regret for not placing bets when they had a decent start.
LM you seem to know your cricket, or is it because of the worldcup??
992  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Before and after bull run. on: October 15, 2023, 02:10:43 PM
Before and after bull run , please keep in touch with your relatives who are into bitcoins/Cryptocurrency. We have heard of cases of people commiting different kind of crimes due to bear market hitting them unprepared.
I think we are being unfair to always expect the markets to keep going up without sweeping lows where liquidity lies to gain momentum to make new high's. As a matter of fact if we want greens be prepared for the Reds as this world everything comes in pairs!!

Though you caught me off guard as I haven't seen or read about these crimes that come from crypto investing and the bear 🐻 market. If this is the reaction we get after a bear market then investors need to treat this as an investment they are willing to lose though technically you won't lose your coins.

No matter how prepared everyone can be, there are people who will keep holding until the bear market strikes.
These are the hodlers that get rewarded handsomely for believing in crypto in the bad and good times as they show they have the nerve and guts to hodl and remain unshaken nomatter the circumstances!!

Keep in touch with your family and friends before and after bull run, the happiness of profit can also drive one crazy which can make one do something unreasonable such as getting drunk, driving recklessly and many more.  To those who will see this thread, please keep this words in mind.
Timely advice that needs to be echoed more!!

Especially that we have read of suicides in the past leads me to believe this could save a life, thanks for the advice !
993  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Pumps In Tradingview on: October 15, 2023, 12:06:01 PM
First and foremost, when it comes to trading you can never get all your  market forecasts correct because so many factors beyond our control affect the markets.

Secondly, following a few traders isn't a bad idea as their trading ideas can be used as reference points in trying to understand why a trade won or lost but heavy dependance on these guys is a no no for me as these will make money off subscriptions of which you could have bought yourself a nice meal off that by learning how to trade by yourself...process might be boring but the rewards will be better and sweet once you master this art.

any trader worth following on tradingview?
No name comes to mind but when it comes to general trading - Michael aka ICT, the man of the moment.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: October 15, 2023, 11:50:08 AM
I'd like to share my experience with you all. Even though I'm not currently employed, I went through a phase of gambling while I was working in the past, and the outcome wasn't positive.
Personally I have come to realise that to give yourself a winning chance you don't need a divided mind that is invested in doing worked related stuff and your money making hustle all at the same time, besides in some work places this is considered stealing company time  and can call for disciplinary action if you are a repeat offender.

It affected my job performance because, as you may know, when you lose, you tend to dwell on your losses and constantly think about strategies to win.
Losing is never a fun thing and worseoff something that hurts your financial well-being will always mess up your emotions and psychology and pretty much change your mood from good to bad in an instant.

I'd like to hear from those of you who have experienced this or are still dealing with it. Please share your testimonies.
Best remedy is gamble when you have time to yourself and if gambling can wait , play your games over the weekend when you are relaxed and all.

996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An agent is no where to be found. on: October 15, 2023, 07:45:54 AM
Today I witness something very strange in the area where I live recently. There was a gambling shop that was not too far from where I am staying, so every day different gamblers visit the shop to bet on games, some win and some don't win a dime.

So, yesterday afternoon, a man bet on a midnight game and the game played accordingly as predicted, but the surprising thing was that the betting agent ran away with the money the man won, and the betting agent is no where to be found.
Provided a Casino/sportsbook survives the first month of operation, then these guys will register some profits and according to your wording these guys have been running this business for a while and I don't think they have ran away as they have the money to payout any winners.
Besides these brick and mortar businesses need to adhere to other regulatory obligations and maybe that's what they are sorting out, give it some time and they will open...and in this day and age users need to move to more convenient channels like gambling online with is a 24/7 service without having to worry about a closed shop.

However, I am here to say these are the reasons why it is not always good to gamble in a betting agent's shop, because if the manager of the shop does not run with the money a gambler wins, then one of the workers in the betting shop might run away with the money someone wins
An employee running away with company money should not be your problem, before setting up such a business some capital is secured to show capacity to pay which is why maximum payouts are set to avoid failure to pay... otherwise any internal lose cannot be passed on the clients.
997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If only property I have is bitcoin on: October 15, 2023, 07:02:07 AM
We have to imagine some life mystery as we are living, have you asked yourself of investment profit and investment loss. The mystery is behind the both when it occurs. Right now I'm thinking to myself of my investment and if only investment i have is bitcoin, and when I'm no more who will manage my bitcoin investment and how will my family know about my bitcoin investment, when  I was ill, I was asking myself series of questions in my mind.

> should I show my family my seed phrase ?
> If I die who will take over my bitcoin since nobody knows my seed phrase?
Congratulations, you just proved to the world 🌍 and yourself how selfless you are, and it's good to prepare for the worst as d*ath can come at any time and leave some inheritance for the people that remain.

Without any complications, introduce one or two family members to crypto and if you are married you need to teach your better half how to use Bitcoin, the best security measures and not to fall for these doubling/investment scams and let the person be in on it fully, they will thank you later.

So I'm asking if it will be good to show any of your family person your seed phrase or should we keep having the secret of your seed phrase personal.
It's the most basic approach and it should work, if you have trust issues then try setting up a dummy wallet with a few Satoshi on it and see if the user sweeps it, if not then they are ready to get on board with the main wallet...better yet set up a multi-sig wallet with other members of the family and try to get duplicate access to other trusted members to avoid lockouts.
998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Still A P2P Electronic Cash System ?. on: October 14, 2023, 10:18:57 PM
I perceive that most of us have forgotten or should i say don't understand the concept and the primary purpose of Bitcoin.
We live in a dynamic world that has different needs for their valuables and Bitcoin being one such valuable does not have an absolute treatment... especially that Bitcoin means freedom then it's users will recognise it however they like, it can either be an asset or currency or both.. it's all about what it serves you.

I had to made this conclusion after reading several post from different communities including Bitcointalk. Most post I read were meant to promote the use of bitcoin, but failed to apply the primary concept.
No such thing as a primary concept!

As a matter of fact, Bitcoin is like a car others will use it to commute while others can use it as a collectors item that can be sold later for more money.

999  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FIRST STEP IS DIFFICULT OTHER 9 STEP ARE EASY on: October 14, 2023, 04:38:02 PM
To be honest, to know the forum takes one to live and experience it...I know you want to go through this by not making mistakes but less face it, just like any other forum the basics will always to know the rules to avoid being in the wrong books of it and then from there livr and after several months of the forum you will be okay.

Otherwise the pinned threads are a must read to get yourself acquainted with the forum, good luck .

How often is your luck in gambling?
Unfortunately, Luck can not be quantified!!!

The second you have an answer to how many times luck comes your way, then it changes to been called skill and not luck!

But getting back to the question, if am going to talk about how many times I have been lucky..well let's just say I don't keep tabs on this the moment I start to count is the second greed and bad luck get the better of me and will keep myself composed to avoid getting the wins to my head.
