1001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If only property I have is bitcoin on: October 15, 2023, 07:02:07 AM
We have to imagine some life mystery as we are living, have you asked yourself of investment profit and investment loss. The mystery is behind the both when it occurs. Right now I'm thinking to myself of my investment and if only investment i have is bitcoin, and when I'm no more who will manage my bitcoin investment and how will my family know about my bitcoin investment, when  I was ill, I was asking myself series of questions in my mind.

> should I show my family my seed phrase ?
> If I die who will take over my bitcoin since nobody knows my seed phrase?
Congratulations, you just proved to the world 🌍 and yourself how selfless you are, and it's good to prepare for the worst as d*ath can come at any time and leave some inheritance for the people that remain.

Without any complications, introduce one or two family members to crypto and if you are married you need to teach your better half how to use Bitcoin, the best security measures and not to fall for these doubling/investment scams and let the person be in on it fully, they will thank you later.

So I'm asking if it will be good to show any of your family person your seed phrase or should we keep having the secret of your seed phrase personal.
It's the most basic approach and it should work, if you have trust issues then try setting up a dummy wallet with a few Satoshi on it and see if the user sweeps it, if not then they are ready to get on board with the main wallet...better yet set up a multi-sig wallet with other members of the family and try to get duplicate access to other trusted members to avoid lockouts.
1002  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Still A P2P Electronic Cash System ?. on: October 14, 2023, 10:18:57 PM
I perceive that most of us have forgotten or should i say don't understand the concept and the primary purpose of Bitcoin.
We live in a dynamic world that has different needs for their valuables and Bitcoin being one such valuable does not have an absolute treatment... especially that Bitcoin means freedom then it's users will recognise it however they like, it can either be an asset or currency or both.. it's all about what it serves you.

I had to made this conclusion after reading several post from different communities including Bitcointalk. Most post I read were meant to promote the use of bitcoin, but failed to apply the primary concept.
No such thing as a primary concept!

As a matter of fact, Bitcoin is like a car others will use it to commute while others can use it as a collectors item that can be sold later for more money.

To be honest, to know the forum takes one to live and experience it...I know you want to go through this by not making mistakes but less face it, just like any other forum the basics will always to know the rules to avoid being in the wrong books of it and then from there livr and after several months of the forum you will be okay.

Otherwise the pinned threads are a must read to get yourself acquainted with the forum, good luck .

How often is your luck in gambling?
Unfortunately, Luck can not be quantified!!!

The second you have an answer to how many times luck comes your way, then it changes to been called skill and not luck!

But getting back to the question, if am going to talk about how many times I have been lucky..well let's just say I don't keep tabs on this the moment I start to count is the second greed and bad luck get the better of me and will keep myself composed to avoid getting the wins to my head.
1005  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk is not an office on: October 14, 2023, 12:02:49 PM
The forum is made of all kinds of people with different needs from the forum, and the fact that we have the people making money through the running of a business such as a mixer, casino, selling of all kinds of services and this can pretty much be called an office only difference from the traditional setups is that this one exists online and people that treat Bitcointalk as an office aren't far off either.

Am certain the primary goal is to share crypto knowledge with others but what good is this knowledge if it cannot be  infused with other services we get IRL ??

1006  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BlockDance B.V., BC.Game and its Fraudulent “Operator Verifier” on: October 14, 2023, 10:21:24 AM
I don't understand how after investing so much in the marketing side of the business such as the signature campaign, ads on popular sites and all other platforms BC would let all these cases run down their name without giving a listening ear👂or solution to open cases !!!

All this dramas happening in B.C Game within a period of few months, I have come across different case reported by players many resolve and many the players are not happy with their judgement which does not really look good for a casino which have already or is already building a reputation here on the forum and is already on top bitcoin casino review site
With all this, it would be interesting to see how they have addressed all open cases versus unattended ones, and hoping they still stick around to fix this and go on as running a gambling business is never an easy undertaking.
1007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Seedphrase security - Pros and Cons of offline storage on: October 14, 2023, 06:52:27 AM
Of course offline storage of your seedphrase is usually the best means of keeping your seedphrase safe, but what are some potential drawbacks?
I don't know about best  solution because we have all read stories of people losing these wallets and trying to get them back to the point of suing garbage collection companies and it's never a pretty scene.
AFAIK, best to go with what works for you especially that we live in different environments, different house setups and ease of others having access to personal space is something to factor in.
=========================================
I'm thinking of using encrypted notes inside of more than one reputable open-source password managers.
So my idea is to break up the seedphrase in two or more parts. Each part gets stored in a different good password manager.

So even if one of the password managers is somehow compromised, the thief only has part of your seed phrase which is useless without the other parts.
Good idea or no?
I love the idea of breaking the seedphrase in several parts as this can be applied to both password managers and paper wallets , but in the hands of a crypto minded person if these 3 or 2 parts are  obtained then it's over for our coins.
Otherwise all these solutions have their own strengths and weakness.

1010  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why do members switch campaigns always? on: October 13, 2023, 07:19:19 AM
Maybe this discussion started the matter, but icopress implemented a new rule when we talked about switching from campaign to campaign. It is clear what is to be achieved in this way, but I am not sure about the sustainability of this rule.
I think the icopress approach is meant to preserve value on all the past work done and paid for and I like it , especially incorporated with the rule of not jumping to a competitor project means all posts benefit the project that paid for it and not the new sig company being promoted, hence jumpers are most likely not his target market.

This reminded me of the question : "WHy do people change partners always" .
Lol now this is funny  Grin but honestly can we compare signature campaigns to a real life relationship lol

1012  Economy / Speculation / Re: Share your opinion on the market. on: October 12, 2023, 06:52:57 PM

I saw this image from a telegram page. I don't know but thought it wise to bring it here to the forum. Maybe we can brainstorm discussion-wise based on individuals opinions. From the image as shown above what's your prediction on the direction of the market next move?  Feel free to express your opinion be you a professional or trading expert or not.
This is a 2h timeframe meaning it's not really a long term prediction which is a 1week-2weeks give or take prediction, and the current range it's in is between ~28600-30000 based on how I trade and it's already at the ranges low and should try to take out the ranges high as the high failed to break the low making it the perfect target to create a new higher high...and making this a bullish run atm.
1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: October 12, 2023, 03:39:50 PM
I don't know why I thought mature accounts would mean aged casino accounts but after reading the write up got your interpretation Tongue, anyway why not call them VIP accounts especially that this is what they simply are and their incentive of all these of bonuses, rains, spins etc
Otherwise in a competitive crypto gambling market, these companies need to be creative and first Shand experience shows what they have going is working to keep their customers.
1014  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you ever feel tired of waiting? on: October 12, 2023, 02:41:57 PM
To be honest, I've had this question for quite a while. I keep seeing people claiming to just hold and hold; it'll take one, two, three, or whatever years for the next bull market. However, I'm often wondering: do you ever feel tired of waiting for Bitcoin to thrive?
Let's be honest here, the real hodlers holding for several years never comment on such threads and only get to be known once they move their coins after a couple of years.
The rest of as just hodl for a quick flip and do this over and over again.

The past few months, or the whole past year—I'm not sure I've lost track of time—have been quite stale. Bitcoin has been ranging between $25.000 and $28.000 for quite a while. The volatility compared to other periods is lower than we're used to, or at least, to what I was used to in the past.
Speaking from a traders point of view , a consolidating market is never fun to trade in and you don't want to be caught in it...and talking of the less volatile markets can we say the whale's are selling less these days as we await the coming of the halving  Roll Eyes

I feel that there isn't too much excitement and this adrenaline feeling anymore; suddenly you'd see Bitcoin climb or crash; you'd be curious when it'd stop, what your next move would be, or simply feel accomplished seeing your money's value grow. Price movements are quite insignificant at this point compared to the huge pumps or dumps that occurred in 2020 or 2021.
Guess go with the follow and the fact the the cost of a whole Bitcoin is much higher than a few years back, nobody is being careless with their coins..

and this seems to be a regular occurrence this month, any official standing of what's happening to avoid speculation and all...

1017  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Up Move Incoming on: October 11, 2023, 08:10:03 PM
As the topic title says, here is a Daily Timeframe chart that shows how Bitcoin broke the resistance trendline and is now at a great 0.33 Fibonacci support level.
It will be going up for sure from here and the first target will be the 0.66 Fibonacci Level i.e. $29.4k and then $31k.

You see Fibonacci support level, I see Fibonacci retracement levels and if this is correct..

this is actually saying the price will pull back ~50% to 70% and then continue going down based on the given market structure, unless it breaks price at the 100% retracement.

Let me know what do you think is about to happen.
By eyeballing the charts, for me price becomes bullish the second it closes above $28500 as this is a clear shift of momentum which should influence more buyers to come in and push the price further up, otherwise we are still caught up in the bearish run,

1019  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a Standing Desk the Right Choice for Traders? on: October 11, 2023, 06:00:22 PM

But here's a question for you, fellow Bitcointalk traders: Does standing really help make better and faster decisions in the high-speed trading world?

Honestly there's a whole lot of stuff that goes with a great trading session, good mental health, enough sleep/rest, no distractions etcetera and without any of this no matter how much you stand these could negatively affect your decision making !!!!

Besides if you going at chart's only for the high liquidity sessions ie the New York session or London session you might stand the session out but if you will be looking at the charts for several hours I don't think you will focus.

Have you tried it, and did it work for you?
Not a fan of standing as I know standing for too long puts pressure on your feet.

Or do you believe that the comfort of a super ergonomic chair is the key to staying sharp during those long trading hours?
Lol ergonomic chairs just give you a fancy experience and won't enhance your skills in any way, you don't believe me ask games who invest in these the most.
1020  Other / Meta / Re: bitcoin discussion board have lot of unecessary questions on: October 11, 2023, 04:09:51 PM
My observation centres around merit as it seems like of late very few are going round the forum and users seem to have realised that topic starters in these boards have higher chances of farming merit than making actual contributions on these threads hence the raise in new topics.

Besides you can tell if these unnecessary questions die a natural death because 7/10 times the question has been asked before and is just been repeated via paraphrasing.

If you find any posts that you think are not worthy to be on that board, then report them to the mods.
The immediate solution:)
