1041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: January 20, 2018, 02:49:39 AM
Bitcoin survived many challenges in the past since its existence in 2009 like price crash, hacking of exchanges, scams, threat of price bubbles, harsh criticisms and government threats. Bitcoin also have been pronounced dead many times by its bashers and yet it still alive and kicking until now. There are still many challenges that bitcoin will face like the move of China to ban and the FUD that always circulating in the media and forum but bitcoin will survive all of this as long as the support of the bitcoin-loving majority are still there.
1042  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is unpredictable job. on: January 19, 2018, 05:42:26 AM
trading is an unpredictable job, because we never know when bitcoin prices go up or down, but I believe with trading now we can get big profits because bitcoin prices are getting better after yesterday's price down.
But we have to predict the price movement correctly so we can make profit.
Our main goal here is to make money so we have to do things that would increase our chances of being profitable and that is by
continuously educating ourselves and learning through our experience to improve.
Even we do know how ro analyze graphs, there are circumstances that is out of our control, we don't know how othersdecide for their coin, like the recent news of banning from China and South Korea no one knows that it will happen especially last week is a blast from almost top alt,  but never lose hope in trading, use every opportunity to earn on it.

We human are prone to error and even if we already learn the art of volatile trading, we still err. To minmize this error, we must continue to learn trading even if we already gained enough knowledge and skills. They said life is a continuing education and we should also apply that to trading. This continued learning is apt for cryptocurrency trading because it is a non-stop, rapidly-changing process. Learning from mistakes will also improves your trading skills and market understanding overcomes that unpredictability.
1043  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Using Bitcoin and altcoins when under 18 on: January 19, 2018, 03:52:00 AM
Minors are supposed to take care and finish their studies first before joining any business ventures or trade but it hard to avoid that there are some business-minded minors that want to make some profits particularly in cryptocurrency trading. Some crypto exchanges have already stopped accepting minors like coinbase and bithumb and others might follow soon. But there are still no laws banning minors from using or investing in bitcoin or in any cryptocurrencies and they have the right to possess some amounts of bitcoin unless they use it in illegal activities.
1044  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you manage ur emotions? on: January 18, 2018, 12:44:21 PM
Often I see many traders, majority of them are newbies blurting out their emotions upon learning that their coins lost some value or lost some big amount of money in trading and other gave in to panic selling in order to cut their losses. Emotions is really one of the hardest things to control and can drive you to make mistakes in trading. The first thing to avoid is being greedy and the other is fear. Always remind yourself that trading is risky and you should have a well-crafted trading plans before going to trade.

Gambling occasionally will not turn you into gambling addict but if you began playing seriously and your visit to gambling sites increases as the day passes on, you are becoming hooked into gambling. As you gamble, your need to get more money increases also and greed began to rule your mind. If you follow your greediness in gambling, you will eventually addicted to it. Everyone can become addicted to gambling whether you are young or old and any forms of betting that involved money can make you addicted.

1047  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-16] Cryptocurrency Market Bloodbath. Short-Term Trend on: January 18, 2018, 03:04:30 AM
The cryptocurrency market is now in major correction mode after experiencing a big price uptrend in the past month. Correction happens after a surge of price and I think it is a healthy because every bull market needs a correction every now and then. The market is expected to go up again after this pullbacks and to those who believes that their coins will rise again, it is better to hodl them and wait til the bloodbath end. This market bloodbath is also a good opportunity buy some potential coins while their price is lower.
1048  Economy / Economics / Re: Does this mean Cash will be extinct? on: January 18, 2018, 12:28:45 AM
It is difficult to replace cash as majority of the people around the world preferred it over the digital cryptocurrency. It is more convenient and always available to use offline and unlike cryptocurrencies where you need to go online first to be able to use it. The use of internet or any online communications should reach all parts of the world first before they implement the use of virtual money. There is no way for the cash to become the dinosaurs of the past as long as the majority of the people in this planet preferred and support it.
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT COIN IS WORTH HOLDING FOR ATLEAST A YEAR FROM NOW? on: January 17, 2018, 01:10:22 PM
Many coins are worth holding for even more than a year like bitcoin, ethereum and ripple, for example, are good for long term hold. Some coins that supported by well-known companies will likely to continue to make stable profits in the long run. Altcoins that are established and being developed continuously, having a good platforms,  and with good development team should consider also for long term hold. Stable cryptocurrencie are better because their price will continue to rise even without a hype.
1050  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Practice trading on: January 17, 2018, 07:31:45 AM
Hello im newbie and i dont have any experience as a trader. Can you discuss some solutions for my problem?

The first thing you do is to ask yourself if you really want to be become a cryptocurrency trader and and be prepared for any eventuality. Everyone knew that crypto trading is a risky and there is a big possibility that you could lose a big amount of money in the course of trading. Newbie traders has the tendency to get nervous when they see the price of their coins are falling and sometimes they sell their coins while at loss to their panic. If you are already decided to take the plunge, then start learning the art of trading and they are available through books, websites and here in bitcointalk forum. Getting trading account is also needed, some amount of money that you can afford to lose, observe and study the chart and always buy low, sell high.
1051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EVERY SINGLE COIN is down!! on: January 17, 2018, 06:09:08 AM
Only the newbies and those who have not educated themselves on cryptocurrencies will have the tendency to worry or panic when they see the entire coin market is down or in red. Not all days in cryptocurrency are always on uptrend, market dip or correction happens usually after a price uptrend and is part of the volatile nature of any virtual coin. While the prices of coins are down or lower. it is also time for those bargain hunters who want to buy cheaper coins but better to observed first before buying. This corrections will not last long and soon the uptrend will follow.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold or sell ? on: January 16, 2018, 01:57:07 PM
Should we hold on to altcoins which we have invested and see the price dropping every moment or it will be better to sell them and buy it again when the value pumps ? I have already lost a good margin of profit with the ripple I don't want to make the same mistake with the Lumens which I Hold so should I hold on or sell out ?

If you invested in some potential altcoins that can possibly go up more in the future then hodl it. Some altcoins can be used for long term investment like ethereum, ripple and litecoin, they are sure to go up in the future. Hodling an altcoin need a patience because the anticipated result may take longer to happen. Ripple and Lumens are both potential coins and also profitable in the long term. Instead of selling them, you should get more good altcoins, buy them while they are in dip and patiently wait for their price to go up, all profitable altcoins have their time to for price uptrend.
1053  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Falling...Is it Panic Time? on: January 16, 2018, 12:57:30 PM
As bitcoin and other crypto currencies is going down and bleeding, some are also spreading FUD that even made other weaklings to push the sell button even it means a losing move. Let them spread FUD and let bitcoin go down more because all i gonna do is HODL no matter what happens and i am going to buy some alternate coins with great potential.

You're right, aside from spreading FUD,  there are some news coming from South Korea and now China which escalated its crackdown on cryptocurrency exchanges operating inside its territory. The crackdown on crypto exchanges is no longer new. It's already happened many times in the past sending bitcoin price down temporarily. Bitcoin always find ways to recover and later goes on price surges so there's no reason to panic about this price drop and just have the patience in hodling your bitcoin until it recovers.
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who will win the crypto KING of 2018? on: January 16, 2018, 07:53:55 AM
I think bitcoin will remain to be top coin this year 2018 and it might take years before an altcoin overtake it. By that time, a new kind of cryptocurrency might emerge with better features than the present coins today. Ethereum have been one of the best virtual currency in term of market capitalization and has the best performance price gains. Climbing beyond $1000 is the highest  gain of ethereum so far and some traders predicts that it will overtake bitcoin in the future. That prediction will remain to be seen as many more coins are being created and constantly flooding the market.
1055  Economy / Speculation / Re: opinions on downward trend on: January 16, 2018, 06:52:46 AM
It is still a continuing price consolidation for the bitcoin and this might be a preparation for another uptrend. The price had been fluctuating between the $13k and $14k marks for a week now and it seem to be steadied at that price range. Some recent events might also affected the bitcoin's ability to rise again and it will take time before we see another all-time high. I believe bitcoin will remain to be bearish for many weeks before it will start another climb.
1056  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: January 16, 2018, 03:31:27 AM
Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?

It still depend on your capacity to manage an investment or business. There are different kinds of investments that caters to your needs, investing in a bank need only minimal attention and with less risk but the growth of your money  were also slow. If you want to profit faster then invest and trade in cryptocurrencies but it is very risky, in fact one of the riskiest, and you might lose a big amount of money in a single day. Investing in real estates, gold, mutual funds or in joint venture businesses is more safer provided you must study carefully first before putting your money in any investment.
1057  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: January 16, 2018, 01:13:31 AM
Of course not, that would be too dangerous. I have put only a little sum. The point is that now this little sum has grown so much that now 97% of all my money in in Cryptos.

Bitcoin grew tremendously last year and those who are invested even half of their total funds for the last three years received a bountiful profit if they choose to encash it before corrections take place last december. Aside from bitcoin, there are also other profitable cryptocurrencies that are worthwhile to invest like ethereum, ripple or bitcoin cash, to mention a few, that will surely make gains in the future. So it better to put funds not only in bitcoin but spread it to other potential altcoins to diversify your portfolio. You will still gain some profit if you put your funds in many cryptocurrencies even if some of them are in dip.
1058  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Legalizing Bitcoin on: January 15, 2018, 12:56:02 PM
Do you think governments are afraid legalizing bitcoin because it's difficult regulating its use, circulation, determining individual's worth, earnings and may lead to tax evasion?

There are many opinions and reasons why government is afraid of legalizing bitcoin or are they really afraid? Government control the currency, they intentionally increase or restrict the amount of money that circulating in the country to spur investment and spending, generate jobs and others methods that help the economy. Since the bitcoin is decentralized, the government sees no benefits in fully legalizing the use of bitcoin as an alternative currency because it value is determined by the users and not by central bank. Here in my country bitcoin exchanges are regulated by the government but there is still no law legalizing bitcoin but they are not restricting the use of it in online transactions.
1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the advantages of having Bitcoin? on: January 14, 2018, 12:56:54 PM
The only thing I know about Bitcoin is that it is a virtual 'money' but what are the other use of it? What are your advantages for having a bitcoin?  Roll Eyes

It is costlier than dollar and can grow at higher rate when you hodl longer. This advantage benefits many bitcoin holders especially those who hold a large sum of bitcoins and some of them became millionaires. There some other advantages in using bitcoin like you can able to send and get money anywhere at any given time, allowing users to be in control of their transactions, all transactions are available for everyone to see but the personal information is hidden and the transaction itself can not be reversed.
1060  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Supermarket Accept Bitcoin on: January 14, 2018, 10:15:05 AM
Is there any Supermarket or Malls Accept Bitcoin near you ?

In some highly urbanized areas in my country, there are some shop that offers to exchange your bitcoin into cash and vice versa but I don't if some of the supermarkets or malls offers bitcoin as payment. I think it is difficult to use it as alternative mode of payment because of its price volatility or rapid fluctuation. The rapid change of price is not in accordance to the fixed price tag that always seen posted in store or supermarket shelf along with the displayed products. It better to convert your bitcoin into cash instead, because it is more convenient to use in supermarkets.
