201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy ETC and thank me later on: November 20, 2017, 03:35:56 PM
ETH - the only altcoin, which really interested me. It has good prospects for development, and in the future he has every chance to become a good competitor for bitcoin. I am sure that in the near future the demand for it will grow and the price will rise on 15% by the end of December.

Wait, the only altcoin that interests you?

You're not even considering LTC, XMR, DASH, or even ETH itself (the real Ethereum) to be an interest?

This is Lucifer described and the case with NSA turning it down:
http://derekbruff.org/blogs/fywscrypto/tag/lucifer/

It was good, but NSA wanted it weakened so they can get in, if shit hits the fan.
I guess you learn something new every day, thanks for digging that up for me.

Quoted and verified on both addresses using Electrum
Failure: chr() arg not in range(256)
Can't verify it through coinig.
Coinig sucks.
So just double checking that everything is fine on my end, right?

I can guarentee you that most participants will not fulfill the condition of 6 posts per day or they will quit by themselves.
Well no, there will be some people with bad grammar who are desperate to be accepted because they always get denied by campaigns that pay more.  Wink

--

But yes, like everybody is saying you'd really need to offer more or reduce the minimum posts or else you will attract all of the wrong people (since the people who write good posts will join other campaigns that pay 3x the amount).

But Good luck

I've just changed my address that way I can use SegWit, although I still control both.

206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Energy Based Projects on: November 18, 2017, 04:13:49 PM
It looks that you are saying that if there is company that controls the grid than there is no possibility of decentralisation? Who will sustain the grid in your ideal decentralisation model?
I meant to say that giving several companies the possibility to use the grid is step in right direction and is decentralisation compared to monopoly. And if one of these companies would be willing to start experimenting with blockchain and using as you say " freelance generators" and kept growing at one point the company would be becoming almost exclusively just a sustainer of system.

I do not see that person that started this thread and also the discussion going solely about  centralisation vs decentralisation, It seems more that it is about quality energy projects, which could positively change the energy market using blockchain.
I don't think that a decentralized grid would work specifically for that reason, but this thread is about using fully decentralized systems to manage the grid (something a lot of projects seem to be focused on lately); and if you look back at my posts in this thread you'll see that I'm stating that this is not possible nowadays because the companies control the grid (and probably always will, although that isn't inherently bad).

Also, looking back at my last reply I hope I didn't come across as being rude (it's always hard tell when expressing via text).
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: November 18, 2017, 04:06:05 PM
Really hard to tell where Monero could go price wise, but I heard today that Arab states want to hide money and if they put it into Monero (or any alt) the price would rise incredibly due to the limited supply and liquidity. I do need to get some Monero, because it's the type of thing that would happen, this is crypto after all! I can see Monero over $1000 in the next 1-2 years.
Honestly, I'm really not all that surprised to hear this; with the anonymity, privacy, and lack of reversibility it would make a very good currency for a rogue country (that or perhaps they're already using cryptocurrencies and we just don't know). Regardless, if this was the case it'd sure be good for Monero's market cap.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy ETC and thank me later on: November 18, 2017, 03:53:57 PM
didnt turn out how OP suggested. lol
It is on the rise and it's almost double what it was just a little while ago, so that's gotta count for something. And nobody said it can't rise more.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLOAK] Private, Secure, Untraceable & Decentralized Digitalcurrency on: November 18, 2017, 03:49:00 PM
There is no true complete privacy on blockchain, everything is traceable... and that is the beauty of it
It all depends on what you mean by traceable. If you're talking about knowing who sent or received coins than there is no traceability using certain systems.

NSA Would have weakened the Lucifer algorithm before accepting it as a standard, it was too heavy for them Smiley
Perhaps I should know this since I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable in cryptocurrencies, but what's the Lucifer algorithm?
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The HIDDEN GEM FOR 2018 on: November 17, 2017, 03:14:36 PM
STRATIS , its not even hidden to everyone , but x100 potential you know  Smiley
dreaming is free.. but are you aware how much has risen STRAT sinco ICO? more than 46.000%.. yes.. i write it correctly.. so think about this word: overvalue
anyway i have a few tokens, but this is not a big bet for me
Yea, I agree with ChiNgadOr. If a new coin rises quickly it's bound to fall quickly soon after, because most all new coins have nothing but hype to back them up (yes there may be a few coins that have something special but the vast majority don't).

This is a great thing to see, although I can't really say that I'm all that surprised. But just to put it in perspective: A year ago Bitcoin was at 700$, and a few months ago it was at 2,000$. I'm just hoping it keeps rising.

213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Energy Based Projects on: November 13, 2017, 05:51:32 PM

Still as I keep saying: While you can sell electricity to the grid in most countries, you’re effectively becoming a freelance power generator for the power company; you’d still be unable to implant one of these systems since it’s not your grid, and this thread was about creating a decentralized grid using one of the systems being developed for just that.

Its not true. Actually the situation now in EU at least in some EU countries is that GRID is being used by multiple companies. They sell their energy to customers and yes they pay some amount to grid company but the amount is actually very small. But this is normal, someone has to sustain the grid, we need it!
Even if there are several companies on the same grid it still doesn't change the fact then when you sell power you're becoming a freelance power generator. That's not decentralized because you're selling to and buying form a centralized company. My point is that because of that it's currently impossible to implement one of the decentralized electric distribution systems on a large scale.

You say it's not true, and then you precede to say it is true and that it's necessary. Perhaps you misunderstood what I meant and/or the topic of this thread?
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy ETC and thank me later on: November 13, 2017, 05:42:11 PM
Please, which coin is ETC and how can I acquire it?
ETC or Ethereum classic was created when ETH forked to undo a major hack. The real only difference is that ETH will become POS at some point while ETC will remain POW. You can acquire it via exchange just like any other coin or you could try mining it.

--
wowowow its all making sense now. and when will be the right time to sell this ETC?
Whenever it is worth more it BTC that you originally bought it. I have a feeling that ETC will pump a bit an all that will be is a chance for people to sell off their inventory.

Damn I wish I had a Bitfinex account and some liquid BTC, BCH just looks perfect for a Good short!
Is there really any time that BCH looks bad for a short?

about an hour ago. Lol Tongue

I guess I stand corrected. I really was not expecting that, although then again maybe that's why I don't short.

Who in their right mind runs Windows on purpose?
That'd be me, only because my laptop doesn't seem to want to run Linux (believe me, I've tried many of times to get it to work).

 Sad

Hey Cloak Community,
I hope you're all well!
I would like to give you a short status report.
...
Glad to hear some progress is going on behind the scenes. Thanks for the update, it's been a bit since we've heard much.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy ETC and thank me later on: November 10, 2017, 02:49:15 PM
ETC is already at 15.10 USD... It is still possible that ETC will go higher.

ETC is similar like BCH so you should not have big view about it. Instead of that you can concentrate on litecoin which is being stable and grows in the market place. So you can concentrate on bitcoin since the value the grows in the rocket speed.
There are some other altcoins still moving faster compare with the ethereum. So you can choose Neo, tenx, LTC, bitconnect and waves.
I have a feeling there is a good chance that ETC will boost when ETH gets harder to mine, although it will be a bit before that happens. Although I'm hoping for it to rise a bit before then that a way I can sell of the bit of a bag that I've got.

Hey, so like I was saying in the Monero speculation thread the entire market seems to be up. And following the trend CLOAK is in the green, being up 24% at 6$. That's always good news.
