Yes it is reversible just like in other centralized payment gateway. Also goldmoney reserves right to suspend your account whenever they want.
Be careful if you are thinking about exchanging bitcoin for goldmoney and never hold large amount of gold in unverified goldmoney account. Verified account can also get suspended.
I think @monepal summed it up pretty well, although I do think it should be pointed out that places like Goldmoney and Skrill will have a lot less chargebacks then Paypal.

NO! Stop! These kind of bullcrap you can purchase on the deepweb. IT PROVES NOTHING! Send then a full notarized passport or you're a fraud!!!
It would be very hard to buy an ID photo of the person who opened the account 4 years ago holding a sign with the date that says "For BTC-e." Also BTC-e hasn't given address, so mailing a notarized passport would be impossible. Steve has given more that enough proof to convince me. Come on BTC-e, prove he's a fraud or release the funds, don't ignore this.

I'm looking for a relatively secure (and hopefully free) Instant Message service. Any recommendations?

I have considered using Tether USDT in Poloniex in the past, because it seems that it is the best and only way to trade against the USD without having to give all your details to the stupid ass exchanges, but of course, it makes me a bit paranoid about it going to 0 because of some bug, or because the exchange crashes.
Yep, and this is why I don't have a large amount of money in anywhere except my local bank, which I trust, and cash, which I can protect with good old fashioned locks and firepower (sorry hardcore Bitcoin enthusiasts, I consider bitcoin to risky to hold large amounts of savings in at the moment). I have been burnt by PayPal locking my funds (although I did get it back) so I've got very little trust to a small company like Tether. Also (at least for me) my account says I need to verify my identity to even send/receive USD/EURO (to comply with anti-money laundering laws), so it boosts my trust a bit, but it also cancels the pseudonymous bonus.

Situation still not sorted. They have sent the same message on the 20th saying they would transfer the funds to the new account registered on their support system, but they haven't done it (been 3 days now since their last message).
Plus, @btc-e.com deleted @cryptodevil's message on their official thread, which means they're aware of the situation at hand. They're turning a blind eye on this...
Dang. Does anybody think it would make a difference if we all tagged the BTC-e account with negative reputation and referred to this thread?

The client is a Bitcoin full node and a bit outdated 0.12 I think. Works fine. The client is for all tokens that use the Omni protocol layer on top of Bitcoin, not only Tether as well as Bitcoin of course.
So I can operate my account from bitcoin core? I'm not quite sure what you mean (I'm new and probably being dumb). Also @generalizethis how are the exchange rates?

The only time I use it is on polo to lock in a dollar amount between trades. Has worked fine, but you sometimes have to put in a few orders based on what is available to avoid slippage.
That was a quick reply, guess I'm still getting used to the quickness of bitcointalk. Anyway, thanks for the reply. I guess I'll check 'em out.

Somewhat recently I came across an altcoin called "Tether." Basically it's an altcoin backed by USD/EURO (I know this probably sounds blasphemous to some people because they go to Bitcoin/Altcoins to escape Fiat, but this interests me), so it got my attention. Has anybody ever used them, and if so are they something that you'd recommend using or avoiding?

Guess I wasn't specific enough. Yes, I was asking about the most trusted live exchange rate USD/BTC, not an exchange service. From the replies I can see there isn't one that is trusted the most, I guess I'll stick to Coindesk or Coinmarketcap. Thanks everyone.

Technology isn't good or bad, it's only a tool and it all depends on how you use it.

Title pretty much explains it all. There are a lot of services that list the exchange rate of bitcoin, and the usually vary by a few dollars, so is there one that is the most trusted?

Yes, it is legal, however you are supposed to claim them on your taxes. Coinbase will (as required by law) report your gains to the IRS if you get more that 600$ in one year.

Too much importance is given to the population numbers in democracy. Those who have the bigger population will win the elections, and the rights of the minorities are not always maintained. This also encourages certain groups of people to increase their population, so that they will get a bigger slice of power in the future.
This is why the US is a constitutional republic. The constitution along with the checks and balances are supposed to protect minorities from being oppressed by the larger body of voters. Also, I think this thread is a troll.

I am a European. I cannot understand why Americans want to have so many people owning guns.
The biggest massacre involving guns happened in Europe. It occurred in a country, which is having one of the toughest gun control laws (Norway) in the world. A lunatic called Anders Behring Breivik was single-handedly able to mow down a total of 77 people, and the policemen present at the scene could not do anything, as they were not armed. This is one thing I've never understood about European cops. They are supposed to protect you Europeans, but how do they do that if they are helpless? Also, about gun control, it is really easy to get your hands on a weapon. Just think of mustard gas, pressure cooker bombs, 3d printed ARs, and shotguns made out of 2 pieces of metal pipe. The criminals and radical terrorists will always have weapons, so it only makes sense to allow legitimate people the ability to defend themselves.

Shouldn't this be in the Currency Conversions board not the Altcoin Market?

I've heard of Sigaint, they are a dark web email provider. I'd guess that OP is a Tor user from the dark web with either tainted bitcoins or he wants your email for some nefarious reason

I'm not sure how I found it, but a month or two ago I found a site called Gliph locatated @ gli.ph; they've got secure messaging and allow you to integrate a bitcoin wallet into your account. I signed up only to find that some of there features are discontinued, there blog is down, and the site is like a ghost town. Has anybody used them, or should I stay away? Also are they a knock-off of a different website, or are they the real deal?
