81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: January 19, 2018, 05:29:33 PM
Is there a dash desktop wallet similar to electrum? I could only find jaxx and exodus alternatives to core at dash.org
https://www.dash.org/wallets/#wallets
I'm pretty sure there's a version of electrum specifically for dash. If not then check out the mobile wallet "Coinomi", that's where I've stored dash in the past.

My email is -hidden-

We simply follow each other, comment on each other's articles, and upvote quality content. If that sounds good you can send me a PM.

These bastards aren't approving any new accounts

If you can find a real tight vpn with no dns leaks, you might be able to sign up on bitfinex.
I'm saying that because bfx blocks U.S.ians and seems to reject any attempt to connect from an IP in this country.
But it's one of the best exchanges for active trading, maybe the best.
Any particular reason why it's the best? I've heard good about it, but being an American I can't register legally (and I don't fell good about faking an account that holds money).
85  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Going to try to start a small Steemit community on: January 15, 2018, 02:46:13 PM
I'm interested. Same as OP, I'm also new and would like to improve my writing skills. Have filled the form.Smiley
Nobody responds to my emails so I'm starting fresh. Just sent you a PM with the information I need in order to add you to the list.

Bitcoin's Lightning Network will likely fail due to several possible reasons

Well, I didn't expect that. I sure hope the author is wrong, otherwise I'm not sure what I expect to see in terms of Bitcoin's price and adoption.

I think that this project requires more careful observation
Because?

[...]
Sadly, I'm going to have to pause the campaign for the time being. The team faced some issues with the website and they are postponing the ICO until Jan 26. The signature campaign will also be resuming at that time with the same rates. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Alright, well I've removed my sig and avatar. I'll probably be back when the campaign resumes.

*To everyone who joined:*
I just sent out an email to everyone who filled out the forum, we can now start setting up the group and following each other. Be sure to check your spam folders and whitelist the email address that way you don’t miss anything important.

*To those who want to join:*
If you’d like to join then you can fill out the forum, however there may be a decent wait time as there will be a number of steps I have to take (and then notify everyone about them) in order to add you.
91  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Going to try to start a small Steemit community on: January 11, 2018, 06:50:49 PM
Hey everyone, thanks for the interest. I've already had like 6 people interested (way more and way faster that I expected). Check your emails (including your spam box) and this thread over the next day or so for updates. I'm going to aim for having this group up and running over/by the weekend.

This is the same as my follow exchange: I follow everyone and everyone follows me, but with the setup I'm proposing everybody follows everybody. But no, I haven't seen the above thread it yet (although not that I'd really consider joining that for the reason I just stated).

How do other group members will communicate with each other?
This is one of those kinks I said I could run into. I planned to use email to push notifications to everybody, but I can probably also set up an instant messenger of sorts to keep everybody communicating with each other.

On Steemit, followers are just numbers, it's more about having followers with high voting power [...]
Not to me. This isn't a get rich scheme, I'm just trying to get a couple of newbie bloggers together.

[...] Must this catchment of your be capped at 10 or few more people. [...]
I wasn't planning on capping it at 10 people, I was just thinking that 10 or so people would be a good start. If more than 10 people want to join I'm not gonna stop them.

Starting Fresh. Apparently nobody responds to my emails, so just PM me if you want to join and I'll invite you to a telegram group. Please be sure to include your steemit profile link and telegram name.

Update 2: *To those who want to join:*
If you’d like to join then you can fill out the forum, however there may be a decent wait time as there will be a number of steps I have to take (and then notify everyone about them) in order to add you.

Update: I've sent out an email to everybody interested and temporarily closed registration

I recently joined Steemit to try to improve my writing skills but the community has seemed to grow on me. Being new my posts don’t generally get seen often, so I thought that I might see if I could start my own little corner of the community.

I’m looking for 10 or so people (probably people who are also new). We’ll all follow each other, regularly comment on each others work, and up vote good content (this is not an up vote exchange where we up vote all of each others content, but up votes to good content will be heavily encouraged).

If you’d like to join then fill out this forum. Just be warned that this is only an idea and I'm sure there could be many bumps in the road. [link removed, see above].

You are in, although note posts under 200 characters won't be counted.

Also, need a different addy since I can't send to that address.
Alright, here's my old address: "1NatejAr4eduuNcegaoy1onupGL9rNzYXv". This is post 817, I'll start posting more after Saturday because there's no way I'm going to post 30 quality posts in 3 days.

I tried to update my avatar but the settings won't seem to hold and only my old avatar is showing. Any advice on this?

Thanks,
Clear your browser cache, I can see your updated avatar (assuming you were changing to the sig campaign avatar).

If landing binance, that is the best, what is the voting current CLOAK?

It's at 0.46% of the votes, unfortunately (the top is 53.57% at the moment).

97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 08, 2018, 12:58:56 PM
I am reading things about big money comming in on 15 januarie because of wall street bonusses... any of this shit relevant? and good for xmr?
As far as I'm aware all the money would go into Bitcoin and not XMR. If anything that could probably hurt XMR's price in BTC.

I don't even know why what the big deal is with those coins. You can run Bitcoin and Monero through Tor, am I missing something?

That sounds like what I was looking for, thanks Loyce.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / How do I generate a transaction offline (preferably with an offline website)? on: January 02, 2018, 04:47:53 PM
I generally use a Debian Live CD and an offline version of a web based wallet generator to create paper wallets for cold storage. When I go to spend from them I sweep them into a regular wallet and then send the funds I want to keep cold into a new cold wallet. However I was wondering if it would be possible for me to cut out some of the headache and just create the transaction on the offline computer and skip creating a new cold wallet. How would I do this?
