Big money wants in, don't be fooled by the big fish who patiently waits for cheaper coins.

This is no 2011, the stakes are much higher this time.

lots of coins were bought... but it means nothing still...there have been small lift offs since Friday into Monday no after burn though.

I will agree there was a lot of volume, in that quick window.. but if its new money.. and this doesn't cause lift off.. imagine those weak hands.. with 850 coins Cheesy

After reading that catastrophic 750k inheritance disaster story on reddit,..where not only did he get raped on the initial asset sale.. he then goes and buys at 850.. sells at 500 or something.. either way lost about 75k in a trade.

These kind of people see bitcoin and go herp derp I'll triple my money.. and then they try to day trade like there financial super stars.

I think what we need to see is sub 700 to break the cheap coins at 750-850 range, after that it could be either enough fuel to cause an after burn or what I'd like to see a test of the support levels. sub 700

While you've got a point all i can say this is Bitcoin and it doesn't give a fuck.
There were people here who said it was impossible that we'd see triple digits this year or that we'd need to hit 50 before we can go up. He had the same logic as you have. I think he's still waiting.

See what i'm saying? Everybody here has a reason why Bitcoin can or can't go up. But Bitcoin doesn't care.

I think the somewhat negative CCTV coverage is having an effect in China.

I missed this. What did they say?

They said : "bitcoin went too high too fast, big bubble danger, stay away"

Right. Thanks.

I smell fear in the air.... and popcorn.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Let me be known: the profit, walsoraj, spoke of doom not long before it occurred.

I don't believe in prophets who only speak of profits, especially ones who can't spell the difference.

More fire and brimstone on the charts to come. The wrath of Walsoraj is upon us.  Angry Angry Angry
Walsoraj, you were predicting a crash to single digits when we were at 150USD....its hardly prophetic to keep predicting a fall when there are only three directions a market can go in.

And yet, he still manages to get it wrong every time.  He's amazing.

Now if people would just stop quoting that idiot.
2645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 21, 2013, 08:53:18 PM
People are so panicky. Crazy. If someone even farts people just hit the sell button in total panic.

So Gox goes up while China didn't do anything really. It's up to 730 doing just fine when suddenly China goes down and instantly Gox and Stamp drop.
Can anybody explain to me how that happens so fast and why?

the bubble poped!

now their could be another bubble foruming right now. IDK i'm  really scared.  Undecided

Nah, my question is why does it suddenly follow China when it didn't when it went up. But my question isn't really valid anymore as it went back up again a few seconds later.
2647  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 21, 2013, 04:18:21 PM
I'm not convinced we're out of the woods until China eats that wall at 5000CNY

What do you expect first? under 4000 CNY or over 5000 CNY?

5000 CNY will be eaten like a spoon of rice... for breakfast

let them sleep for now

Yeah my guess is it will be gone quite fast when the morning starts there.

Seeing Stamp and Gox closer together feels so much better.
2651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 20, 2013, 06:04:28 PM
I do get the feeling a lot of people are mad at me for my habit of expecting the worst. Cheesy

Stop being so full of yourself. Nobody is made at you. People just think you are a total clown. That's all.

You are absolutely clueless. And apparently not just about Bitcoin.
2652  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 20, 2013, 05:45:03 PM
My intention is to warn you guys to practice proper risk management because inevitably, even with a small investment, your Bitcoin allocation will be the main source of your wealth. Marginal utility of wealth dictates that it's more important to secure your first million than to make another.

I've seen it go down from 32 to 2 and it was a really bullish environment too until about 14. Don't fool yourself thinking it can't happen again today. That's just the nature of humans.

+1
I, for one, gotta say thanks for this comment, Blitz. I'm new to this forum but really appreciate your comments here-- I know that I certainly have ridiculously risky appetite, despite a fairly good knowledge (for a non-pro trader) of position sizing and risk allocation. Do I properly size my positions, do I use a trailing stop, do I take profits appropriately, and cut losses every time? Certainly, I feel like these are my weakest areas. Finding BTC is probably the hard part. Now that I'm here, I should really exert those controls and be patient.

Do you have any more suggestions on/about BTC risk management? (excuse me, as I haven't read back through the last 20 pps)

Cheers!
You're asking the right guy for advice.

Here's a few of his pretty good predictions back in july:

Goodbye, triple digits. See you 2015.

After this week, I'm not sure we will see triple digits in 2013 again.

This has never been a billion dollar market to begin with. Triple digit, billion, those are things of a faint past.

No more triple digits for 2013.

Noone buys the triple digit lie anymore.

Looks like MtGox is beginning to shake off its denial and join the ranks of the 80s. This is only the beginning.

What if the buyer is an established casino firm that wanted to get into the Bitcoin game? If that's the case, then they would've been accumulating beforehand and have been responsible for some of the buying pressure. This would now be gone, along with 350k coins released on the market.

I smell blood.

 Grin

I smell 2011.
It's really too bad for people who can't imagine how 2013 could possibly be like 2011 because they weren't here at the time.

Yes you're so smart Blitz you were there back in 2011 and you know exactly how history will repeat itself right now in November 2013. Even though you thought the same thing after the April 2013 crash, but this time it will really really be just like 2011. It has to be.  Roll Eyes

After some of the claims this clown made i can't believe he still posts here at all. Some people have no shame whatsoever.

Protip: he's the subforum moderator.

I know. It's absolutely crazy that he's a mod here.

http://www.mql5.com/en/charts/1048012/btcusd-h1-distel-enterprise

technical analysis and forecast for next week. we've been trading within an ascending channel as indicated by the pink lines. I expect price to stay within the channel from now until early Monday morning, so trades may be placed accordingly using the top and bottom as exit and entry points with expected gains around $30 per BTC. The yellow lines correspond to a hidden divergence pattern which indicates the the trend will continue upward thus I expect the market to remain bullish. Even with reduced volume during the weekend price still remained bullish, as indicated by the ascending channel. I expect R1 to turn into a support level although i accept that price may dip to S1,S2, or,S3. one could place buy orders at these levels and adjust risk and reward  as necessary. If price moves below S3 I would not feel comfortable placing buy orders and would wait for the price to level out. Finally I expect price to move upward similar to last week with gains in the $100-$200 range.

Note

I do however expect significant resistance at the $500 and $600 levels. If things remain bullish at these levels there might be opportunities to trade as price bounces off the resistance

You are actually serious with this stuff? I mean you actually believe it?

Sell before weekend??

Have been selling along the way. Ready for a weekend slaughterhouse to buy a swag more (this is the same plan as many here I think.)

And what if you are wrong?

Looks like we're climbing slowly again Smiley

It still has trouble getting past that 450/2700 wall for some reason. It's such a tiny amount but it's stopping us for several days now.

Edit. China lost the battle again. I guess Gox will follow with just 700 coins from 450 Sad

this might just be a pull back. hold your coins and wait for it to rise

I'm holding forever Smiley

i like to sell and buy back in at a lower price!

We all do but most of us fail.
