I wonder how many people have bought into bitcoin and been killed short term with drops. So they become bitter and start shorting it and then get killed on its way up. Then preach to everyone that the market is manipulated and they predict doom for all on their way out.

Just woke up, why it went down again?  My guess because of China news that may or may not come. Yes, traders are that retarded. People sell because of a rumour that there might potentially be a new rumour. Doesn't matter if it's positive or not. Just panic and sell. Other option is: omg someone sold 200 coins omg omg he must have China news omg sell sell sell. |

if we keep holding at this level it appear to be very bullish. We have a standard consolidation after a 60% rally, maccd 2H retracement, rsi 6H down to 4.4. China defend 3000 support several times.
it seems EV+ to enter now with a good risk reward, cut the loss if China break 3000.

I ignore the chart indicators, because I still don't know how to read chart indicators. I'm still learning, so I follow this forum for advice, and then follow the forum's advice not to follow any advice I find on this forum. I have no idea whether I should be shorting right now and buying back lower. Last time I panic sold, I lost 1/8 of my investment. Keep in mind most "experienced" traders here also lose money most of the times. They won't tell you that of course because it would mean their TA doesn't work and they will never admit that. There is a very, very small group of traders that makes good money and i'm pretty sure most don't post here. You know nothing more or less than someone like Tera. Your feeling of where the market goes next holds just as much weight as all her lines, charts, macd, tarot cards. You just seem less silly. |

Everyone just shut up and trade. Thank the Chinese for all this magnificient volatility and profit making opportunities. It's not like you don't get ample TA indicators to tell to buy and sell when the trend is changing. The candle didn't just go straight down to 700 to 340 or straight up from 340 to 540 or straight down thereafter and then just die at the new level. No. There are ample bounces, indicators, and opportunities. You have hours to realize the 1H MACD is going down and then days to realize the 4H and 1D are going down before most of the damage is gone. But instead of paying attention you sit there in some state of denial complaining about how chinese shouldn't be able to control the trend. You ignore the chart indicators because of your belief, and then complain later and ask why you are losing. "but... but... it's just china fud. the west should control bitcoin". Well that's too bad. You just have to accept reality and roll with the punches.
It's no secret that I don't think TA applies to bitcoin (yet) but +1 anyway  It is. Nobody here is getting rich from TA and certainly not Tera. 1 Chinese article, 1 whale pumping or dumping is all it takes to go in the opposite direction of what your macd or whatever says. And she knows this but is in complete denial. Always behind the trend, always crying how Bitcoin is going down because she missed the cheap coins again. It's sad. |

Bear flag? There doesn't seem to be any buying power supporting those small dumps. At least 100BTC dumped and I only see small 0.05 buys
this is my non biased day trading approach. in case it is a bear flag. also break below 490 would be a pretty strong bear signal.  I'm a noob trader (no TA, only trade following news). Which indicators should reveal which direction BTC is heading short-term? Or am I supposed to watch the market book every minute and wait for a dump/pump? You're gonna get eaten alive. |

that's funny, Chinese love manipulation..... it is about time that PBOC release a new statement to clear all the FUD and explain once again and clearly their position about Bitcoin and give a strict guidance to prevent manipulation... I'm not into conspiracies but i have a feel certain people are making too much money to stop this right now. It's so unbelievable easy to manipulate the sheep. ^ Thats exactly what i was saying before the last big crash when we were around ~550 or something. Truth is, when it looks like its going down but you need some news to push it, the news will magically materialize out of thin air.
I think with tommorow being the 18th and that some how turning into another deadline day its likely that there will be some news fabricated even if there isn't any. Awesome, another China deadline. Let's keep following China like the sheep we are. Traders are idiots. |

There is a chance sure, thats why i am not shorting this one. Just saying that the path of least resistance is dump to 460-470.
I think next ~4 hours could be a bulltrap and small fake recovery, or just going sideways
I suck at reading the market but if anything the last few days seem extremely bullish to me. We just want to go up and up. It's just idiotic China news that takes us down everytime. But as soon as the panic calms we go up again. Now i certainly expect more China fud but i don't see anything bearish. Am i missing something? |

Bouncing pretty smartly off my lower extreme target. Stamp had we worried for a second.  wave V could take us to 580 but I would only feel safe after we get back to the 520-530s. Why would you feel safe there? Most likely at that point someone will post a message in Chinese which causes everyone to absolutely completely totally panic and sell their coins. |

So this wave of panic is over. Some made good money but most as always lost money. People are buying back in again. Most likely with a loss. We're slowly going up again.
So now we wait till next round of China news? So we can repeat this shit all over again? Same whales with insider knowledge make money, the same sheep lose their money and the same bears will be screaming how we will go down to 250 this time.
Is that what everyone wants? It certainly looks like it.
It just totally amazes me. These waves of panic buying and selling have so very few winners and so many losers yet people keep doing it over and over again. Like they never learn.
