It seems very hard for the price to stay above 1000. People are so afraid it seems. Really anything could cause another panic sell back to 920 or so now. While staying above 1000 or getting higher needs constant big buys that don't do anything really as people sell right into it.

It sucks to be right Sad

Tera, when you said wait for the next FUD, it will be the FUD of all FUDS.. well here you go.. sacrifices answered.

This fud does not scare enyone, so the FUD of all FUDS has to be better than this

you can't say that.. were building a large red candle.. I am not saying I believe it.. and impart.. usually avoid even selling to make a profit on peoples fear which I consider to be of ill intention.

Apparently they are now actually accepting through their business account. This is actually very very good news if that is indeed the case.

Doesn't matter: panic sell!
2583  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 12, 2014, 11:42:03 AM
As expected. Any even slightly maybe possibly negative news and people press the sell button. They are so extremely scared.

It seems very hard for the price to stay above 1000.
It seems that tens of thousands of coins were bought by speculators at 1000 USD or more, just before the all-time high, on the assumption that the price would keep rising. Some of those speculators must have grown disenchanted and will dump those coins as soon as the price returns to that level.

I actually hope that's true, because as soon as the wankers get out of the game, liquidity will dry up and we'll sooner reach a new ATH. I predicted it will take three months to shake out all the weak hands. I'm standing by that prediction. two months to go.

I've been reading shaking out the weak hands since it was at 100 or so.
And i will keep reading about it with every dump this year i'm afraid See what i'm trying to say?

All i'm saying is that as long people are buying there will always be weak hands. So we can stop mentioning it really.

Not really. You seem to be making my point for me. Every dump does shake out weak hands. it only stayed at the ~100$ for six months or so. The recovery from the 2011 crash took 18 months. i believe the recovery time is correlated with the proportional rise of price in the rally. by that metric, we have three months to wait (give or take 3 three months) before the next rally.

Possibly. I also have the feeling some people don't want the price to stay above 1000 for some idd reason and keep dumping to prevent it.

Bot I use triggered buy for LTC at 24.90 just before it took off. Here we gooooo!

Er.... that is when I offloaded half my LTC - expecting a retrace.

Damn, welcome to my coins Sad

I sold my stash when it was at 2.80 or so. The gap between Bitcoin and Litecoin was getting too big and i thought it was gonna get worse and Litecoin would go down. Right after it moved to 40 dollars or whatever crazy amount it reached.
I'm not gonna say how much lost out on but it would be enough to stop working for a year. In an expensive city.

This Mars One thing looks like a scam. No WAY a private, crowd/reality tv show funded, company puts anyone on Mars ever.

Its a one way death trip...won't survive the radiation once they leave the earths protective field.

Haha what?

Does anybody really think the FBI can sell all of their coins at an auction? Yea right. And the big money probably won't be interested when it learns WHY the FBI has lost faith in bitcoins. They will be forced to sell on an exchange.

Don't you ever get tired? Your posts are entertaining but surely you must get tired of typing bullshit 24/7?

A lot of people have him on ignore. It would be nice if you could stop quoting him.

Shroomsie , do you know you're white clean again just like walsoraj?
At least your ignore button?
=)))))

No i didn't! Damn, now i have to start all over again.

Why do people dump now? How do they think? "Well the price is going up, lets quickly dump before i make more money by putting up a sell order around 900"?

the people who are dumping now are the ones who bought coins before we took off and are taking profits (out of the pockets of those who bought coins during the rally itself).

Great. Now read my post again.

list of things (partially logically sequential order) that ought to have been implicitly understood from my post but apparently were not:

a) these traders may be content with the profits they have made, and simply have reached their own price point (daytraders, as adam suggests)

b) these traders may not be bullish enough to see $900 as a viable short-term target.

c) these traders are pricing in their bearish sentiment by taking profits now, preferably before other doubtful, impatient traders do the same, which creates a feedback loop which can prevent us from reaching $900 at all.

d) mutual knowledge of (c) and a short-term bearish sentiment causes the price to correct slightly and stabilise slightly underneath $900.

e) most traders think they will not make money by putting up a sell order around $900.

f) feedback loop continues.

I had to understand this from your post? Well, i guess i'm really stupid then. Thanks anyway.

I haven't been wrong about a specific call I've posted on here yet.

Wow...I didn't realise you are infallible.
My apologies.

Yes, there are quite a bunch of those here. Amazing, isn't it.
I wonder why they are even here considering they must be filthy rich and have no need to trade anymore.
2596  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 04, 2014, 02:10:33 AM
Tread lightly. A lot of signals have been triggered on lower time charts, and LTC has diverged.

If Gox falls below 861 we are going a leg down. Might even be the so awaited final capitulation.

Ok i'm selling everything i got if we touch 861. You as well i assume?

I think it was a joke. It made me laugh either way.

;TLDR Not being in Bitcoin today is too risky.

This is what I also believed before jumping in to be a full time market analyst. But with decent excel skills it is possible to model many situations where it makes sense to have less than 100% in bitcoins, or trade.

I have so many lines of data and charts, for example I have analysed the bottoms of the recent crashes to 5 minute precision in all of the exchanges to find out where I get the coins cheapest and in largest quantity, and how quickly it falls, how quickly it bounces back, what volume is reasonable to expect, so what size of orders are best to use. From next week I have a new half-time assistant doing mainly the analysis of exchange behavior, so that the capturing of tops and bottoms should happen with even greater precision.

Why I mentioned limit orders is that unless you have 24/7 trading (which I don't know if anyone has), it is reasonable to have quite a lot of fiat parked in the range 20-50% below the current price. The crashes are so deep and in a sense so predictable (not possible to know when they will happen, but play out quite the same every time) that the exact placement of orders can net you BTC10s easily. For example the Silk Road crash was an actual opportunity to buy at $90 in October. Yes, December-November-October. So many things happen in Bitcoin which cannot be predicted but can be captured with limit orders. Not being in Bitcoin is risky, but cutting your # of coins in half by insisting to buy now is not too smart either.

It is a shame that only stupid people tend to reply to my analysis, you know the ones who only want to know if the market will go up this afternoon (which in fact is the thing I could influence the most, thus nullifying the actual predicting) and cannot comprehend an advanced prediction such as "with 70% certainty we visit $450 before hitting $1,100 which makes it a wildly profitable +32% EV play after fees".

I am sorry if any person in any standing whatsoever has been offended because of my hard speech towards the trolls who don't know how to behave respectfully.

Besides there are some strawmen arguments that I have been wrong with market calls. There is one that I remember (quitting yelling "crash" when we had climbed to the top) but every other call since the start of the October bull market has been correct afaik. If you want to say that I was wrong, please post the wrong call in context and explain why it was wrong. Or refrain from lying.

Do you ever stop talking about yourself?
2599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 28, 2013, 01:47:17 PM
Your hate-posts are noise. Wise up and quit posting them.

Quite many want to hear my predictions (or yours), but nobody wants to hear how much you hate me because I am richer for the reason that I have better track record than you in BTC.

I listen to Goat and Loaded because they have more BTC than me. Then some are smarter than me for example Zanglebert, wachtwoord and oakpacific. BitChick is just cute. But the others, no need to reply just to show hate; the time is better spent honing your own excels.

Amazing that you think everyone hates you for having some money. I think many people tried to explain this to you before. People here don't hate you. They are also not jealous. They just don't like you and your attitude. They simply think you're a mentally challenged narcissistic idiot. Which you are.
Of course you refuse to understand this because of the same narcissism. It's very sad actually.

He's right. There's going to be a final capitulation. But not yet. We have to see $900 first.

Ah ok. Thanks. I will be selling everything at 900. You as well i assume?
