questions
1. why send 1000101 coins if the required amount is 1000000 and the fee is 100?
2. the directory name "staticnode" does not seem literally necessary, but for simplification of user process. Is it ok to use default data directory (or other user defined names) for single/multiple staticnodes?
3. when using the above procedure with a linux daemon, first syncing, then start with -datadir=staticnode, results in the new datadirectory syncing from scratch again.
do the staticnodes require the win qt for extra magic to happen?
4. if the procedure is completed, is there a way to tell if you are succesful?
5. the simple requirements seem to be having a wallet open and holding >= 1mill coins in a single address, no modifications of .conf file or commands to start static node seems necessary. is this the case?
1. The protocol plan has been changed now, so that extra transaction unit of 1 XBY will no longer be required. 2. The staticnode, staticnode2... etc. is just an example. You can use any folder name and does not have to say STaTiC... This is just for reference and assistance for those less experienced. 3. It is enough syncing just one. The other data folders can be copy-pasted to the next node folder. Only the wallet.dat file needs to be deleted after copied (or just don't copy it) and the first start of the xtrabytes-qt.exe will recreate a new empty wallet.dat file. 4. The STaTiC registration will be well controlled. Nobody needs to worry if its not successful at first. Our goal is to have a lot of independent STaTiC nodes and therefore we will help everyone who wants a STaTiC node. Each registered STaTiC will be public. If its a success then you will see your STaTiC. If the setup is not successful, then we will help. 5. You will need to change the config files. I will make a description later. Your wallet doesn't need to be open, it just needs to be open until you finished the STaTiC registration. Then you will get a special private key while registering your STaTiC. You will then use one empty wallet and this special private key. Securing of your self deposit is the FIRST step. Thank you for your questions and interest in XtraBYtes!

Just heard about XBY like 1 hour, read through all these posts and bought some. Really nice to read how you guys are trying to turn things around for the best after having such bad experience. Too bad i didn't heard about XBY a couple of days sooner as i was investing in more coins at that moment. Hopefully the price won't go up too much as i'm getting my salary next week  . Thank you very much Joker! But it is not just me... This is an INCREDIBLE story of determination happening here and one of recovery from the acts of dishonest people. But most importantly there are 2 things here: Our developer is very ingenious (I am getting to know him more and see what he is building) and he is honest... then on top of this, we have a community of members who have stood by while we pulled XBY from the ashes and now the word is spreading. How do I get a Static Node?
Ptytrader I agree that a white paper coming out soon would be preferable to progressing development, as it also allows other people to get involved and help. Hopefully something can come out in the next 2 - 3 weeks. Let's see where we are after Sundays announcement. Whitepaper needs to be done properly and we may need help with this. I read the Storj whitepaper and it is complex stuff. I think (can't say for sure because this is Borzalom's work) we will be very similar in many aspects, but I have no experience in this technical side and Borzalom is not native English. Right now he is working on the STaTiC system... We want to be ready for Sunday... What I can tell any developer out there and anyone interested in being part of XtraBYtes is that this is the beginning of something that has massive potential. We need to form a larger team because 3 people is not enough. Just remember, this is a community project. No corporation (YET) and nobody is getting paid for this work (YET). We don't know if that will ever come, but it is certainly not impossible and this is my intention. So, get your STaTiC Nodes... this is the long term investment into this project. |

XBY hits 50 sat on c-cex, I think it will cross 3 digit on sunday.
yesˇˇˇ XBY was 1 sat a week back and there were no buy orders. All i could see was high big Sell walls, and now suddenly i saw XBY really going great. I wonder what has happen or is it just a temporary pump ? XBY has good fundamental. Low supply. Can go up to 10k sats. That was not a magic cup XBY that just rubbed once and from 1 satoshi to 50 satoshi in a single day Low supply is just one of the things that will drive the long term value. There is much more and this will drive short term prices also. This is a fantastic opportunity and in time when we have everything built, we will compete with the likes of Storj... So, 10K could be the low end as time passes. Magic cup!! I like that... The truth is right here in the forum. If you start at page 1 you can even link back to the Bitmox forum. We were in recovery mode for about 6 weeks and it has only been 2 weeks for the real life of XtraBYtes. But, in this period of time there was no magic cup. Only hard work and commitment, along with a fantastic community. |

The reason is that they control 90% of the supply. I used to be one of them. Recently I felt the need to clean up my portfolio and dumped a lot of craps, mainly due to being on drugs. I dont remember why exactly I dumped those but my XBY went overboard for sure. At 20 sats/xby. You make absolutely ZERO sense... clearly you are the one on drugs. Anyone can look at the chat in C-CEX or Yobit and see there is plenty of interest and buying with XBY. They can also look through this forum and see all the people buying STaTiC Node quantities... Get lost... you are not helping yourself here but you certainly are helping the growth of this COMMUNITY OWNED coin. Thanks for selling... BYE!! |

They are currently being worked on Im going to publish them here after i think that they are ready. I was thinking about maybe a subreddit too so i reserved /r/xtrabytes. Great job Onni! I am going to get the banners done now for Facebook and Twitter. My skills are not great with Photoshop and my artistic ability is also limited... So, if anyone wants to submit some replacement banners with your own flare... We would love to see them!! Oh boy dont tell me u are gonna spam facebook with ur dumb ads. Adam guerbuez tried to fuck with facebook and got banned for 120 years from using social networks, after being sued by facebook officials for 700 million, so u can easily get put into a cell where two hairy teammates will show u how hard ur life could be. For twitter, I don't know anything about legitimacy of spam but u can also get banned in a wink of an eye. Ban is sure if he posts in the same language as yours, so don't be tense & post with some logic. If you are going to come here to troll, at least have some respect for people (such as children) who really do not need to be exposed to your foul mouth. If you think we do not know how to set up properly on Facebook, you need to get your head examined... Have a nice day!! |
