Different tier nodes can be added at any time I assume, if say they wanted a Level 4 tier at 62500 XBY for example.

Just say it, you need investors' money to pay the devs. It's ok to say it.  Yes, we have said that several times in the information released to date. However, several people are starting to realize how ingenious this actually is. They have spent the time reading and understanding and have read all the questions and answers and have spent time in Slack asking and reading the questions and answers. I still think lower tier statics should cost less XBY, open the door for smaller people interested to get in. If the network is going to scale I believe it'll need 1000s of 1000s of nodes, the more the merrier. Also the more there is the less centralized it becomes, someone grabbing 100 nodes out of 10,000 available is better then one getting a 100 nodes out of a 1000. XFUEL is an XBY clone with the same premined supply as XBY, but the target for completion of development is to have an emission around 218 million, to leave around 100 million XBY in circulation. The remaining XFUEL will be burned. It is controlled by the community, kept in cold storage and we will ONLY release the weekly amount needed to pay for the work that has been done, so it will come out slowly. We have a team for payment operations and there will be a block explorer that shows everything about the transaction, so that it is audit-able. You can only buy from the people who have received it for the work they have done or are doing. There will be back pay for services also, so you will receive some for your services. Otherwise, we are setting up a temporary moderated room in Slack where people can trade directly until the X-CHANGE is ready. The cost of XFUEL is determined by the free market through normal supply and demand. Currently there are 3584 STATICS coming available. After the community decides to split the network (when the price is too high for transferring of nodes at affordable levels) this first split will result in the same amount of coins being in 7168 STATICS and when the price again rises too high, the community will again decide to split, resulting in the same amount of coins being in 14,336 STATICS and so on... Thank you Fish for making the original post! As requested by Borzalom, I will add simplified answers to the post below in blue text.
Questions from the community:
1 - Some members have questions and concerns regarding the economics of adding the XFUEL token ... in a simple way, how does this all work?
Borz: We will create different tasks. Each task is simple and short. Not longer than 1-2 hour of work or permanent service. After the task done then the worker/helper/supporter/service provider/contributor get XFUEL income. The XFUEL is tradable via XBY possible to buy/sell. If someone collect more XFUEL then possible to partialy replace the XBY deposit to XFUEL. The XFUEL deposit help to we get more STaTiC-s whitout remove more XBY from circulating supply.
The goal of XFUEL to help the XBY development and build the different developer teams. The successed tasks help growing the XBY. After more task successed then XBY will be more valuable.
CCR: We will create different tasks for helpers and developers in our community. These will be simple and easy tasks, not longer than 1 or 2 hours and there will be permanent positions also. After the task is done, the worker/helper/supporter/service provider/contributor will receive XFUEL as payment. XFUEL is tradable for XBY, therefore it is possible to buy/sell. If someone collects enough XFUEL, it is possible to partially replace part of the XBY STATIC deposit with XFUEL. The XFUEL deposit helps to expand our STATIC network without reducing the XBY supply to an unhealthy circulating supply.
The goal of XFUEL is to help XBY development and build the various developer teams. The successful (completed) tasks help to grow XBY overall. After many tasks are completed, XBY valuable increases.
2 - I watched the XFUEL video clip just now. Its a second 'coin' running on the XTRABYTES chain, is that right?
Borz: XFUEL is not 'coin'. This is expansion of XBY and part of the system. At this moment XFUEL work in different chain but the goal to merge the all system components. XFUEL is the first clean STaTiC+PoSign "coin/token" and there are two goals:
1.) beta testing the PoSign algo
2.) finance the developments of XBY. Very important therefore i say again. XFUEL is not independent coin. XFUEL is the part of the XBY system. No coin swap. I continue to develope the XBY system.

Borz: Partially true. The XFUEL emission will be very slow. No flood the market. I think the owning of XFUEL will be symbolic. Like medal. Everyone will see who help/support the XBY system creation.

4 - Is XFUEL necessary for development funding? Or is it needed as proof of tech? ? I think, first and foremost, nodes should be up and running, creating an ecosystem - which in turn would increase funds for development. It appears that XFUEL's use case . . is to provide payment for services offered to XBY and be "traded" for nodes at a percentage XFUEL and a percentage XBY. Has the team exhausted every other available option? Being that the initial pairing is XFUEL/XBY, I see it hurting XBY price overall, as the only way to get "paid" would be to sell the XFUEL for XBY, and then the XBY for BTC or ETH. I could be incorrect here . . just trying to work this all out.
Borz: If we want faster development then yes, we need fund. I don't want listing why we need pay, i think everyone know to we need pay the services, domain names, time of workers and lot of other. The XBY "investors" not classical investors bacause just swapping the "investments" between the "investors". This not help the real contributors who help the development or spend the real money to services. The price of XBY is 100% unimportant because the most part of helpers/contributors don't owned big pack of XBY. I want ask back. If the XBY price growing then this why increase funds for development ? The price growing of XBY don't increment the development funds. The developer team don't get income if the XBY price growing. Need XFuel. This is the way to we get more developer and more contributor and big developer teams. Each XFuel relate to real development and real value. This is the reason why the XFuel will be help to growing the XBY price. I hope the asker see now why are wrong. The XFuel increase the price of XBY and don't decrease.
CCR: If we want faster development, then yes, we need funding. XFUEL is the best way to get more developers and more contributors and big developer teams. Each XFUEL is related to real development and real value. This is the reason why XFUEL will help increase the price of XBY. I hope the person asking this question now see why they are wrong. XFUEL increases the price of XBY, it doesn't decrease it.
5 - Why is it necessary to build XFUEL so urgently and delay our main goal with STATIC Nodes, Website, WP?
Borz: Who wants working without income ? Who will help reaching the goals ? No. The XFUEL don't delay the reaching of main goals. The XFUEL help so we reach the main goals faster.

6 - If XFUEL will be cheaper, what is going to happen with STATIC nodes - break them and rebuy for XFUEL?
Borz: I done lot of calculations before released this idea. The 1:2 rate of XFUEL:XBY prevent STaTiC-s has XFUEL deposit only. If the XFuel owners want STaTiC then required to buy XBY. If the XFuel will cheaper then lot of XBY owner want buy Xfuel. If the XBY will cheaper then the XFuel owners want buy XBY. This is the balance than result is just more STaTiC and stronger network. And another important thing again. No flood the market !!! All XFuel releated real value. I think the XFuel owners don't want sell Xfuel-s. The XFuel owners want STaTiC and want buy the needed XBY-s. The final result will be more STaTiC node, stronger network and more valuable XBY.

7 - Can the XFUEL dapp run prior to implementing pulse, vitals, and node activation?
Borz: XFUEL does not need pulse and vitals because its don't want data storage and lot of other features. The XFUEL is pure PoSign and use 10 fixed STaTiC nodes only. This is the veryl light version who demonstrate and test the working STaTiC + Posign techology. The other features like the module system and data storage and vital and pulse don't implemented. And the XFUEL development ended. No more feature will be added don't need XFUEL developer team etc
CCR: XFUEL does not need the PULSE and VITALS because it doesn't need data storage or many other features. The XFUEL is pure PoSign and uses 10 fixed STATIC nodes only. This is a very light version which demonstrates and tests the working STATIC + Posign technology. The other features like the module system and data storage and VITAL and PULSE are not implemented. Also, XFUEL development has ended and no more feature will be added. So, we don't need an XFUEL developer team.
8 - Is it possible to draw a simple architecture picture how X-CHANGE and XFUEL fit in the XTRABYTES ecosystem?
Borz: At this moment don't exist. The test version of STaTiC system will be show the X-CHANGE function. Lot of pre-process tasks need finished before possible to drawing the simplified ecosystem images. Lot of unfinished plans need finalized before.

Borz: If the XFUEL is unusable then no XFUEL market. Nobody want buy the XFUEL if the XFUEL is nothing. This is win-win situation. The XBY win because get better network and more fan-s + developers and more value. The XFUEL also win because get value and market.

10 - Its clear that behind XFUEL some people here have made a lot of work, but is XFUEL the only solution for the project so it will run faster and go to the next level?
Borz: I will done the all development but only one lead developer don't enough to this project sucessfull. I said more times earlier. If we want bigger than BTC or ETH then we need bigger community and more fans and more nodes and more developers. If we want this then the XFuel is the key of the door of the next level. Just one question need answered. You contribute the project if you just spend the your time but don't win ? We also need rewarded the later joiners. The early "investors" also win if the community growing and if the community is strong.
CCR: I will finish all the development regardless, but with only one lead developer it's not enough for this project to be successful. I said many times before, if we want to be bigger than BTC or ETH, we need a bigger community and more fans and more nodes and more developers. If someone spending the XBY and buying STaTiC then this always will be good business. This is very important because if no STaTiC-s then no PoSign and no XBY.

12 - Can we compare XFUEL to ethereum's GAS?
Borz: No. XBY is not ETH. XFUEL no use simile like the GAS. XFUEL is development money. Finance the development only the goal. ( and beta testing the STaTiC + PoSign)

13 - Why not do an ICO of some sort to get exposure on the ICO channels?
Borz: The XFUEL is better than ICO. I think the most of ICO is the way to fraud or stolen etc... Remember the parent of XBY is one big ICO scam ? The XFUEL paid after the work/service be completed. This is the reason why better. The initial ICO scam is the reason we why no have development money and why have investors whitout development money.

16 - Will it be available to check richlist of XFUEL tokens? Community would like to have control where are XFUEL tokens.... It can`t be like on time market will be flooded by XFUEL and we will not know from where are they

This is the first live session of 777 with Borzalom. Borz is going to do his best to share his vision for XTRABYTES tonight with our community and we’re going to move right into it here, first I’m going to let Zoltan / Borzalom say hello; Zoltan please go ahead and say hello to everybody: Borzalom: Hello everybody I’m here. Thank you. CCR: Okay so we’re going to get right into it. Q1: What gives XBY value? Is it the platform where applications can be run or something else? A: The original goal was data storage and as we move forward the goal expanded and now the new real value of XBY is a XBY based service/trading platform of different applications being able to utilize the services at XTRABYTES. So the future winners are going to be the trusted decentralized service providers as well as STATIC node owners and XBY is going to be the market for decentralized service providers. So that is the real big goal of what we are doing here now. Q2: Explain the Proof of Signature (PoSIGN) consensus algorithm. What are its benefits over Proof of Work or Proof of Stake algorithms? Why is it desirable? A: The first thing that he talked about here is that Proof of Signature is green, it’s a very environmentally friendly algorithm like Proof of Stake as many of you know. We talk a lot about this in the slack and also on the forum about the different size laptops for example or different computers that are needed to run a STATIC node. We have explained that you can use an older machine and it doesn’t take a lot of power. This very good because as he’s talking about the Proof of Work miners for example they’re very energy intensive and we are not. That’s a very important thing for people to realize; then he moved on to the security so Proof of Signature is much stronger and more secure than Proof of Work because each Proof of Signature miner is trusted and audited so in this sense it’s better for the business environment than Proof of Stake or proof of work where miners are unknown. XBY wants to be a real business solution. peers and miners have to be non anonymous and we have to know who they are. That’s part of the trust factor that we have here at XBY, so all the static node miners are well known and they trust each other just like in the real business world … that’s a big key. Q3: How do you envision DAPPS running on the XTRABYTES platform? And how does this relate to the US dollar price? A: All application income will be XBY so if you use XTRABYTES applications, you’ll have to use XBY. This is creating a big internal demand and an internal economy so to speak which is going to make a very very strong XBY as we continue to grow. So why do you need XBY? Because you spend XBY on the XTRABYTES based applications and services. After you spend it of course you’re going to need it again and when you spend it you’re giving those XBY to the service providers and the STATIC owners. So its again creating that economy, that internal economy. Application developers and STATIC service providers, they’re going to turn around and use it themselves on perhaps something else. So again we go back to the business model aspect of all this and this is the reason why it’s a better business model here at XBY then what’s available with Ethereum or Bitcoin. As far as the US Dollar price goes Ethereum and Bitcoin depend on the US dollar price whereas XBY is independent of the US dollar because it’s all going to be internal business. Q4: How do the CORE modules relate to the DICOM … aren’t the CORE modules different and shouldn’t they be on a different level than the EXTERNAL modules? A: The CORE modules and the EXTERNAL modules connect at the same level, the difference between them is that the connection is the actual connection itself between the modules. The core modules they know each other so the integration is deeper than integration of the external modules. All core modules connect to each other. All core modules use functions of the core system and other core modules but the core modules never use the external modules functions. External modules use the other external module functions and core functions and the core module functions too so this is the difference. Another difference is the connection level between the modules; core modules sometimes use the direct connection to the core system, external modules only use the DICOM interface. Q5: Can we get details on the security of the network, algos being used and encryption methods used? For example, will we be using SHA-256, SHA-512 or some other truncated version. A: The hash and all other cryptographic key lengths are going to be easily changeable. They are changeable as it is now. We’re going to be providing a link, in fact you can go to https://www.keylength.com/en/4 and here are many different suggestions. So for us, after the code is finished, he’s going to optimize the best methods and key lengths. Now this not important because today 512 is secure, but tomorrow it won’t be secure. Technology is changing very fast, quantum computing is coming as well, and so he’s working on something and trying to stay ahead of the curve here and creating the code that is easily changeable so that if he needs to, the encryption methods and the key lengths can be changed. Cryptography is very difficult, not just key length is needed lots of other things like time stamping is also needed. He’s always going to use the top cryptographic techniques also. Decoding and encoding long cryptographic keys, this requires a lot of time so he wants to find the best compromises for all this. As we said, today the 256 bit key length is secure enough but even one security issue, one hack, and even the 4096 key length is potentially going to be crackable eventually. So this is where he is focusing and staying ahead of the curve here with the security technology. Q6: Have you recruited any new developers and if so what are your long-term plans with them? A: He wants to build a hierarchical but independent development team. More developers means more decentralization. The best development team is one that controls and manages themselves without Borz. This is what he’s trying to do. Early on we had a small team starting but the project was not quite ready to take on new developers at that point at a serious level and in the coming days in fact, you’re going to hear a lot about what’s coming on Tuesday. So make sure you come out and tune in on Tuesday, that’s going to be another big day. Q7: How do you see your role once a major dev is done? Will you move into a more vocal public role or focus on continued development etc.? A: I will always focus on the development. My role is always going to be software development I don’t want to do anything else. This is what he does and what he’s comfortable with for obvious reasons. Borz believes we have a talented team here, a lot of talented people assembling at the management level and these people are going to take care of the public role and the way they feel what’s best for XTRABYTES and that’s all starting to come together here. hey everyone, was a great "777" yesterday, Borz was doing good though! im looking forward to Tuesday, curious what you have to say  you might want consider doing those Live-streams on another Service? Youtube, Twitch, Google Hangouts or something? Would just be way easier for everyone to join We will look into this in the future. For now we will stick to what is familiar to avoid unnecessary difficulties (very limited time available for learning) and because the features we want access to are available with our current platform. It is a simple download, with phone access and offers us a high quality experience for the XTRABYTES Community. Thank you for the suggestion! |

This evening, the XTRABYTES Community enjoyed listening to Borzalom speak live for the first time. The event was largely a great success and we are pleased to share a blended recording with you now. Not only was this the first time the XTRABYTES Community heard him live, this is also the first time Borzalom has ever done anything like this. So, as you can imagine, he was extremely nervous and after a bit of convincing, he agreed to do this with us. So, after the live recording, Borz and I went back to the conference room and re-recorded the first 5 questions. It took him 3 or 4 questions to start to relax and then question 5 he was starting to bring some passion. However, it was question 6 that asked about his Developer Team when Borz finally relaxed and started speaking directly from his heart. So, we captured and saved this part for you and have redone the first 5 questions. We believe we are delivering a much more powerful end result and I am sure the community members who were with us will agree with this assessment. One interesting question is can payments be made for trusted payees with no fees?
Would zero fees mean xby would be spammed and cause problems?
I know the answer to that. However, I think this would be a good question for Borz to answer on 777 because it relates to the bigger answer for how he is planning the flex system that will eventually be implemented. Can you please post this in the Brainstorm on Slack or in another place that has been made available to collect the questions? Thank you! |
