Yesterday, a question was raised by one of our long time members who is also with our testnet group. The question was from @securenetworker and he asked: @ccrevolution is there a way to see the signed blocks where the online nodes have signed? I brought this up with Borz and decided it was best answered by a post here on the forum, rather than just responding inside the testnet private chat. Answer: At this moment, our testing has only been with the online nodes using Proof of Signature consensus. The next stage of development will be with the PULSE and VITALS, which will be the full technology behind XTRABYTES. Currently, you can go to http://testnet.xtrabytes.global for the block explorer where it's possible to review the signed blocks. However, at this time only 1 block is signing with all blocks accepting. The final version of POSIGN will be different because current tests are ONLY being done to validate the POSIGN concept. Therefore, what you are seeing right now is the PROOF OF CONCEPT for POSIGN with block creation and validation occurring without POW or POS. Moving forward, a tremendous amount of testing is still required to go along with the continued development. There are many MANY goals in front of us and as we grow, more and more developers will join us to help move things forward. Borzalom is creating a new method of consensus that he has been theorizing for several years. This is why it is experimental...
We are creating a new way to do things in crypto and at this moment we are seeing the first live tests of the first layer (POSIGN) of this new tech.
We do not have dates, we have milestones. We are not just creating a coin, we are creating an Integrative Modular Blockchain system which will continue to expand and develop for many years. This is a very long term project but working tech is not so far away.

CCRevolution, thanks for sharing that information. Based on what is written in the post you linked, it sounds like Borzalom restored all the XBY coins to C-Cex's XBY wallet. Then, any investors who wanted could buy these new XBY coins from the new chain directly from C-Cex. But how does that help the scammed investors? Did they automatically get coins on the new XBY chain as a compensation from C-Cex in lieu of the scam coins they had previously bought, or were they refunded their original invested money from C-Cex so that they could then buy the new non-scam XBY coins? How were the scammed investors made whole again? None of the accounts changed... XBY is XBY and that is how it remained on C-Cex... Only the control changed for development. If someone had 10,000 Bitmox XBY, they had 10,000 XTRABYTES XBY... Its very simple. |

SCRIPT TERMINATION TEST - PYTHON SCRIPT ALSO Hello Everyone! This morning we had a few testers from around the world helping with some final testing before the initial termination script was executed on the wallet. You can see in the image below the final 10 blocks where many people were sending individual transfers and also 1 person was running a Python script.  Block 378 was the last before termination and all tests were successful, so the system again performed without any issues. This means we need to start INTENSIFYING the pressure for the upcoming tests once Borz reloads the wallet again. The new TESTNET wallet (with bugs fixed) has been compiled and another hard reset has just occurred. This means that we must wait for block 122 before transactions can start again and this is about 4 hours away... So, we will be picking things up again after some sleeps. Hi CCR, great news and update. I think that coinmarketcap hasn't updated new logo for view from mobile devices as I still see the old one (worth check).

TESTING FEES - TESTNET EXPANSION Hello Everyone! Just getting caught up here after a busy day at my end and noticed Biker had posted some great info about the fees. So, I thought it was important to first of all say that the numbers he is reporting are not to be considered as anything other than test numbers. What Borz is doing here is actually playing with his scaled fees theory, and was trying some scenarios today. But, the final fees system will be very different and will possibly even have some trust factors involved, which would result in free transactions between friends and things like that. It is also important to note that a security feature was being tested and if a transaction was less that the normal fee, the fee doubled and this is to fight transaction spam of 1 XBY, which in this case would cost the attacker 101 XBY for 1 transaction... So, there will be different scenarios worked through before our next live wallet update. Otherwise, as you could see the testing was otherwise very fast and successful today and we did in fact add an additional 7 testers to the TESTNET tonight. We will continue to add people while we work our way up to the full 512 nodes and at that point, some major testing will occur. The optimism and cheerleading lately is laughable. Not too long ago when price was below 200 SAT, it was the exact opposite. At this volume (less than 10 BTCs), the price is meaningless. The people saying that they will hold this for however long are the one who got in at a higher price, say 1000 SAT, and they will cash out as soon as price gets close to their buy-in prices. You're holding because you have no other choices, not because this will one day become ETH.
Sure, you have a nice new logo, so what? Doesn't change the fact that your goals are simply too big to accomplish. By the time you make some sort of meaningful progress, you're forgotten because there are plenty of new coins out there that people will chase.

First I must agree that cheerleading is indeed exist exactly as FUD like "your goals are simply too big to accomplish" or "Wake up. Unrealistic hope gets you nowhere.". I guess those are two extreams which are integral part of crypto projects, for me both of them are better to be gone by hey, I stuck with you guys... and after that been said... Every crypto (and not only) project is kind of gamble, you almost never know for sure what is going on (this is the reason for crazy profits - crazy risks). When I entered into crowdsale of one project, many (way to many) people said it was scam, I will lose my money, it's WAY TOO BIG and this "crazy wierd kid"... well the status of Ethereum today is... I think I explained this point. Now, about this project... It is few months old, has nice price and volume for it's phase, there is ongoing development, active and involved managment, strong comunity, good marketing effort and some kind of constant progress (not daily for the ones waiting for project to be fully developed at weekend and price of 100000BTC in one month)... If you want to compare it to bitcoin - you definetely correct, this is worse project (in terms of certanty and not current potential) , but if you want to compare it to other project of same scale at same phase, I don't think you will find one better. At this price level you buy POTENTIAL and not product. So, if you are, and it seems so, so dedicated to explaining all of us how this project will fail - start from installing a wallet, get FREE static and try to fail/show that there is no/break/hack test net  , without this you are simply one more FUDder that righfully laughable exactly as last of MOONers. How many will be after 2 levels?
We have not yet decided any final numbers, this is why we say at least 250k XBY. The amount per L2 STATIC may be lower. We will announce all of these numbers later when we are ready to get into Level 2's. The only reason we are even giving the number of 250 is so that anyone interested in owning a Level 2 STATIC has time to buy in the dips, rather than all at once. There are many things we are working on now but the community wanted to have a ball park number and so we gave them one. One of our intentions is the be as decentralized as possible and by giving people time to prepare, we are best able to achieve this. Thank you for your question! |

Actually, let's slow down a bit here folks! We have been approached about this 3 times now and as I read this I see the 5th different offer to handle the job. Thus far, the Board has decided this is not something to be taken lightly and no further discussions have occurred. I'm very excited about the testnet finally being launched. It will be great to see the birth and launch of the PoSign algorithm. This has the potential to change the crypto world if the technology pans out.
I went into XBY on April 28 at 69 satoshi and just when I invested in the static node, I read the story explained by Dave and I thought: Whatever happens, keep patience and confidence in this beautiful project led by Dave and Borzalom. Frankly, there were very difficult times when the technology was called into question because of lack of proof, many promises and fudders did not spare us at that time. I kept Confidence and Patience in all weather. Where are the trolls now? Today, a mountain of work is being delivered. New ANN, rebranding (logo, website), TestNet open to all, enjoy! TestNet is good proof of technology.
