Last night we started getting the board members and also STATIC owners set up with their TESTNET keypairs. This was the first step to simulate the current structure of the actual XBY STATIC node network. Currently, Borz is working on the TESTNET wallet, which is where all the test transactions, attacks, spams, etc. will occur, with the plan to push the tech to the limit and iron out all the kinks and bugs. At some point today we will give the rest of the XTRABYTES Community access to set up their TESTNET Keypairs with a limit of 512.

Regarding slots, I assume you refer to available STATIC nodes? We will announce when this will occur... I can only suggest that everyone be ready because the XBY price will rise steadily (in my opinion) over the coming days and weeks because we have lots of stuff coming down the pipe. The amount of XBY you will need in your deposit wallet to take control of a STATIC is a fixed amount and what you pay for those deposit coins on the market is determined by exchange prices of course.

At this time, I would also like to announce that we are ramping up the test phase now with a FULL TESTNET.

There will be:

• 512 STATIC nodes
• 650 million test coins
• 1 test STATIC will be allowed per person, starting with board members, then STATIC owners. Once we get everyone set up, we will load the test wallet code to github where anyone who wishes to participate MUST download the wallet (this is the official XBY wallet with test code applied and the test code will disappear automatically after 14 days).

Each participating person will be sent test coins and we wish to see as many transactions as possible, so use your imagination... Get your friends lined up in the Slack and get their test address and start sending coins around. I will announce a BOUNTY competition to get everyone participating as much as possible to help with this test.

Phase 2 setup is well under way!

Good morning, afternoon or evening, XBY Community!!

As you have seen, the last couple days have revealed some movement in what has been happening behind the scenes with XBY. There is much more to come as many things that the Community has been asking for and plenty of our own ideas are soon to be strategically revealed and released for the benefit of all of us here at the XtraBYtes Community Corporation.

Thank you all for your continued support and for anyone wanting to buy more XBY, I would recommend getting yourself in position because if everything we are soon to release has the impact we anticipate, these low prices will be ancient history in the story of XBY.

This was actually just some code from the IRC system as a result of the STaTiC nodes sending out there IP address. The virus scanner program is picking up a false positive. However, to avoid confusion for Kaspersky users, Borz will recompile with that related part of the IRC code removed.

You can download the new version when it's ready. The old version is also fine though, because again, this is not a virus.

We had a bit of a crazy day yesterday; trying to figure out what was good, what was bad and what was stressing us out!!

The problem we faced yesterday (will be today also, until all clients are updated) is that there are 2 versions of the XBY wallet online right now. The old one has fees of 100 XBY and the new one has fees of 50 XBY. (this mix is BAD)

The transactions are safe, the wallets are fine.... (this is GOOD)

The major problem is that the network is facing serious and confusing delays because consensus is very difficult for the nodes (2 different fees expected)... (this was stressing us out )



PLEASE UPDATE YOUR WALLETS!

Chances are that people with wallets which are never online are not likely one of the network nodes (but what if you are)? We would much rather see everyone upgrade their wallets and this is especially critical if you are always online with your wallet because you could be one of the network nodes.

Simply put - this is a major update. For as long as there are client nodes (wallets) out there waiting for the 100 XBY fee, we will have delays.

So, after I read the review from @t0mpee this morning, I sent Borz the following:

I question how he has talked about the VITALS:

This is a specialty in both work and theory, and separates itself from other coins by being able to actually sign off inside of the VITALS (Virtual Information Transmissions Aligning STaTiCs) network, verifying that each signature to the blockchain is trusted and secure; and does not use the currently popular Proof of Work and Proof of Stake concepts, which, when finished, should be revolutionary in the blockchain space; as it’s the only coin of it’s kind to currently do this.

Is it accurate to say the blocks are "signed off inside the VITALS"?



Here is the response from Borz (in his greatly improving English):

Signed off inside the VITALS ?
Yes, and no.

example:

the block height is 1294
112 STaTiC online 400 STaTiC offline.
each 112 STaTiC signed the 1294 block and push these signatures to block signature database.
The block signature database is one independent blockchain tracked database.
All height have lot of related signatures. Not only the online STaTiC.
Of course the 1294 is new block therefore the online STaTiC-s signed and offline STaTiC-s not signed at this moment.
Before a online STaTiC signing 1294 block require all previous block validating.
If the online static was offline the previous day then validate and sign all previous day created blocks.
The final result is one very complex and hardly understandable hash table created. I don't want explain this. Need large and complicated infographics lot of time etc... The final result is just a very large unique number. These unique numbers is the result of consensus. These number will be attached to block. This number is the signature of VITAL. This is not real signature this is a hash of all signatures. I hope to understandable, the VITAL system how to be signing the blocks. The VITAL system "signature" is the big signature consensus. This is not real signature this is big mix of signature hashes. Impossible to change or reproduce without knowing all signers private keys. ( need previous offline STaTiC private keys too ;-)  = impossible )

Before I posted this here and in the Announcement section of our Slack, I wanted to get verification that Thomas was talking about the VITALS signing in a proper way. The answer I got from Borz was really quite powerful and so I will be posting his response in about 30 minutes.

I think we might see lots more talking after this and perhaps some scampering back to the exchanges (just my thoughts of course).

Basic Overview of XBY Modules System

What is the XtraBYtes Modules System and why is this so important for you to learn about?

The XtraBYtes Modules System is yet another aspect of XBY that sets us apart from all other coins in the crypto world today.

With the XBY Core being at the HUB and also containing some hard coded programs, such as storage, the core system opens the doors to the world of developers in a way that they can easily hook (attach) their programming visions and ideas (modules/services) to the existing userbase and visitors at the XtraBYtes Community Corporation.

As these modules (programs) come online, STaTiC owners will receive a notice offering them the option to support the newly attached program. Modules which have the most support from STaTiC owners receive the most exposure to the end users.

Modules provide the use case for XtraBYtes, whether it be decentralized storage to instant messaging and all conceivable applications in between. The XtraBYtes core and DICOM API will provide programmers with an easy to grasp platform for development. Using popular programming languages such as JAVA, C# & C++ as examples, but not limited to.

Over time, more and more developers will join us and the XBY Modules System will become larger and larger, with anything and everything any programmer can think of being made available to the XtraBYtes Community.

As modules come online, they will not only connect to the XBY Core, but some modules connect to other modules, making this a robust and ever expanding software world with shared libraries and our DICOM interface making even the most novice programming enthusiast capable of creating for the XBY Modules System.

We are also working on a full overview to show several use cases and will release this ASAP.

Just wanted to check in real quick before I get some badly needed Zzzz's (been awake 36 hours with 23 hours of travel in there, although I did catch a few winks along the way).

I wanted to thank each and every one of you for your positive comments and the energy that is coming from our amazing community. The positive vibe is very good!

Tomorrow I will get with Borz and see what we need to explain about the Module System he has released to Github. This is progress folks... more details tomorrow!!

Statement of July 21, 2017

Let me begin by apologizing to you the community and the board. Going over the heads of the Board with my recent video and 2 week absence was an odd and unprofessional decision and one that the Board and I have come to understand as a necessary evil in this most unusual setting we currently have here at XBY.

I will not explain this and will leave this up to the Board to explain at their discretion. This is a group of highly capable professional people who are able to see both sides of what is happening here and will help the community to clearly understand the big picture.

I would also like to clarify my previous statement about deadlines and targets. This was a challenge to reach heights I believe we could have reached had we not had hurdles to overcome and therefore should have been achievable by a community choosing to unite to create its own success.

We have something very special here and I only want to achieve the levels I see in my mind with what we have available. So, there was no intention to hold anything back to trip you up... It was just a straight up challenge that I hoped the community would accept because I have no issue with a professional front stepping in to drive our machine. I have no problem taking a different role and quite honestly, most Founders do not do double/triple/quadruple roles in their programs. But, that was not how XBY could have gotten off the ground... I had to act in all my roles along the way.

I know and understand that sometimes my actions can be seen as too aggressive or unorthodox. As many of you know, my heart and soul are in the project and I will fight to make all our hard work come to fruition. That being said, I will not apologize for my willingness to fight for the success of XBY, but I recognize there are sometimes more effective ways to do so than have been previously used.

After emotional discussions with the board yesterday and after discussing these recent issues, some caused by my actions and some by deliberate trolling, I have agreed to fully stand by the rules set down by the board in regards to how decisions and policies are made and agreed to. As I have said, unity and working as a team/family, company wide, is the way forward and we are all agreeing on this at the Board.

With regard to videos or statements, I will not agree to have my work reviewed, except rants. We did not achieve our success with my natural passions being grounded and bridled. HOWEVER, we are implementing measures to diffuse any more reasons to rant, which means I can once again focus on the future success of XBY.

As it is now, I ask for you in the community to forgive and reflect upon my handling of the project the past few weeks and I ask that you continue to be with us on this journey. Please hold your opinions until after a statement about all this comes from the Board also.

These kinds of the periods of drama are what make this community and it’s leadership stronger and I am grateful for the opportunity to fight this out with all of you.

I would like to thank CCN specifically for taking on the mantle of responsibility of leadership while I was away. I had openly thanked everyone in my own way on the video because I did not want to leave anyone out for fear of people feeling as CCN feels now. Unfortunately, that has not ended well and we will all have to move forward. This company is built upon trust and will prove to be a company with trust at the heart of the community.

Yes, I know the reply to this is that what I did was not trustworthy and this is where we all need to see the big picture, which the Board will do their best to lay out.

We are only as strong as we are united and I deeply wish for this project to continue forward with a unity of purpose and unity of team.

This project doesn't welcome negativity and childish/selfish behavior. We pride ourselves on being a forward thinking blockchain technology that is welcoming to both the knowledgeable and the novice. To maintain peace, certain rules will be implemented and if breached will result in moderation, removal or bans.

We welcome criticism, questions and opinions in a professional, office like manner. But we will absolutely prevent personal attacks, repetition, manipulation and childish behavior.

And last but not least, I would like to personally thank all the developers, Borzalom included, for their insane hard work/passion they have put in to the project so far. To the Board, the graphics team, the web development team, the programming team, the copy writing team, wallet development team, and of course, our outstanding community, you guys and gals are the catalyst that will bring success to this project and it is a privilege having all of you with us.

For the last 2 months or more, the narrative has been to have me removed. So, lets go ahead and act on this desire with a compromise.

I will step back and work with Borz again more directly as we did all along and some other roles OTHER THAN marketing. We will leave the marketing to you.

This is a trial. My biggest fear all along is that allowing others to take over will hurt our project. However, no matter what I say or do, I am being attacked and therefore the only healthy solution is to let the trolls and their supporters step up to the plate and GIT'ER DONE!!

You guys have 2 months to prove yourselves and we will re-evaluate and go from there. Do a good job and meet the Founders expectations and we will create some new goals for you to achieve and so on as we progress...

You have until September 20th, 2017 and here are your targets:

3000 Slack Members
200 Forum Pages
XBY Price to 7000 Satoshis (should be no problem for you marketing gurus with tech coming)

If you do not meet these targets, you will agree to all stop this narrative and let me continue to do my work.

These are not unreasonable numbers and I do not want to hear any complaints. Just do the job you have been fighting for... You have all had the biggest balls I have ever seen and so now lets see if you have something to go along with them I will even cheer you on because the ONLY thing I really want here is for our project to succeed.



Regarding the roles of Borzalom and myself as Founders. We will ALWAYS maintain VETO power to prevent destructive actions and if I EVER want to make a statement of any kind, I absolutely will NEVER bring this to the board, ever. That was a big mistake to agree to this in the first place. We did not reach these heights with me being bridled and it will never happen.

So, again... here is your chance boys!!

Don't screw this up because you will look like a bunch of idiots for destroying what could have easily been a rock solid community of 3000 by Sept 20th, 2017 had you left me alone and let me reach the targets I have given you above.

Here are the rules:

Continue working as you have, run your own board, we will not even vote. But we will stop anything that is not allowed to happen which I trust my board to not cross any lines anyway so this will not likely even have to occur.


To our community, for anyone upset with my actions, I apologize. This has not been an easy time since Feb 18th and I know that I have the support of the majority of the community. But, lets just give these guys a chance and if they do a good job, we all win and if they screw up, we will get everything sorted later.

As Borzalom always says... its OK... this is a long term project. Family is always first.

I will start with a quick summary of my latest video:

I am back, I am not dead... the community is fragmented and must be unified. We expect an atmosphere of family protection which is the ONLY way this community can survive because we will NOT allow any further destruction and measures are being taken.

This toxic story-line has gone on far too long and I stepped away to show that my presence or absence does not affect the price of XBY in general and therefore should not be blamed.

I also thanked the positive members of the community, wholeheartedly and thanked our Board for their continued service in my absence.

That's what was said and now we will make the required changes to protect the house.





Here is my current statement:

1. We will get through this as major changes are coming to ensure ignoring the trolls. They will disappear on their own very soon.

2. I do not have any fake accounts in Slack... I don't have time for my own account right now as I am in my home country visiting people and traveling for the first time since last year. I also have dealt with a lung infection that lasted more than 30 days... So, those of you stating otherwise are just spreading more misinformation.

3. What you people who are crossing the line to the enemy side do not realize is that the resistance you see here is started, fueled and regurgitated by the same 3 trolls that have been trying to take over the community since about 2 weeks into the life of our Slack.

If you stop looking at usernames (they change and have multiples) and instead listen to the personalities, it is very easy to see who is behind all of this dissent and insanity.

This will all stop and we will move forward.

Yes, I will be removing the video from the main channel after it has served its purpose.

Choose your sides... The future will not be dealing with this sort of nonsense again. We have much more important things to do than burn up hours per day on damage control.

This WILL BE a positive community... There are NO exceptions!!

I don't have enough time to listen to the slack chat. This is CCREV’s job.  CCREV is my partner. CCREV is the co-creator of XBY. CCREV is a permanent part of the XBY community. If you attack CCREV, you will be attacking XBY. You will be opposing the XBY community.

Dear XBY owners, helpers and contributors,

Please help remove the trolls and all destructive people. If you don't help, these people will kill the project. I am working hard on the code but this is not enough. If you want this project to succeed then your contribution and help is required. Please help CCREV remove members who don't contribute to the project.

The newcomers must see and respecting the work Dave (and the other contributors) has done. It’s not Dave’s job to answer to the attacks. This is the job of the community. To protect the lead faces, helpers and contributors of the XBY community.

XBY is a long term project. If we need to rebuild the entire community through loyal members, we will do this.
