1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost phone with bitcoin wallet on: April 25, 2021, 10:39:57 PM
IF you haven't backed it up in any way whatsoever, then I would like to break the bad news, whoever has got your phone, if he's smart enough as to not reformat or reset it, will be able to get a hold of your hard-earned bitcoins, otherwise if he's a regular dime-a-dozen guy who picks a phone up, reformats it, and then resells it, then those coins are gone forever with no way of gaining access.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hamster powered races on: April 25, 2021, 10:22:38 PM
The gambling concept that the devs used is novel indeed, but until they increase their payment channels, there will be a huge bottleneck from the people who do not have ETH on their wallet, or simply those who do not want to pay the horrendously high fees just to bet. I know it will be very hard to implement such a thing at a very small span of time, but if the project is this good, money shouldn't be a problem.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so many negative posts about BTC lately? on: April 21, 2021, 11:23:25 PM
As usual, people are FOMOing and FUDding because of the current dip in price. As if we're not used to this type of stuff every time bitcoin dips in value. Just let the weak hands sell their money, and then let's laugh at them once the price starts to recover and they FOMO their way into bitcoin once again. The story never ends, that's just how they roll every single time.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The problem is that it could take again many years to recover on: April 21, 2021, 11:21:07 PM
Doesn't matter. The fact that we can expect an ATH, is good news in itself. The ones that see the long wait as a problem are the people who sees bitcoin as nothing but a get-rich-quickly scheme which it certainly isn't. You'd have to invest both your time and money here if you want good gains. Otherwise if you're just looking for another scheme that promises you profits and then pulls a 360 on you then I'll gladly show you the way out.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC and Illuminatis on: April 21, 2021, 11:16:00 PM
There's no way we can tell if these guys are involved into any secret societies/organizations, which they probably are anyway. Then again, we're seeing more and more people seeing the importance of bitcoin, sad to see the richest 1% of the society and corporations have their eyes too and have been investing. Let's just hope and pray that bitcoin doesn't become another brooding ground for capitalists and classists that will severely abuse the working class, or that they don't pump and dump their investments.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Game over to Bitcoin Time to sell all on: April 21, 2021, 11:10:04 PM
Yes it's continuously dipping, yes we might have entered the bear market at this point, but should we start selling our holdings? I think not. If you have weak hands, then by all mean sell it, but keep in mind that bitcoin had already been in this situation countless times and have always triumphed at the end, so you might want to rethink and decide if you really want to sell all of your holdings or not.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: How is it supposed to be alt coin season after bitcoin falls? on: April 21, 2021, 10:51:35 PM
People have correlated dips in bitcoin's value to altcoin season, when what might have happened is just pure coincidence backed with a couple of propaganda. Truth be told, it doesn't make sense for Altcoins to follow suit after bitcoin has dumped in value, unless these people who sold their bitcoins reinvested their money on other cryptocurrencies which doesn't make sense because bitcoin offers better growth opportunities than any coin in the market, at least when we talk about long-term growth.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Raising the stock market after Covid-19 on: April 21, 2021, 10:47:25 PM
A lot of people are already catching wind of this upheaval and are already investing their money back on potentially valuable stocks, some even as early as December last year. We can say that the COVID pandemic did a number on the stock market that it took a couple of months for recovery to even begin, but the important thing about this is the fact that we are recovering, so for the people out there, buy some stocks and bonds, diversify your assets and help the current economy grow while the cryptocurrency industry is biding its time.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will NFT bring any change in crypto gambling industry? on: April 21, 2021, 10:20:40 PM
NFT offers a lot of opportunities especially to the gambling industry. Imagine a new form of gambling where you use avatars that are powered by NFT, which could help decide how much you can earn per win, or just plain simple rewards given in the form of NFT cards, wouldn't that be cool? This is just the surface of what NFT could really provide for gambling, and of course as time goes by people will find novel and innovative ways to integrate NFT into their gambling system.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You won today, but then you will lose often on: April 21, 2021, 10:15:02 PM
Just goes to show how important self-control is in ensuring that your wins are secured. No matter how big or small your wins are, if you can't control your gambling habits you'll lose them all one day. I was like this in the past, until I decided to follow a regimen in gambling that would allow me to discipline myself and instill control so I don't drag out my gambling sessions until 4 am in the morning.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC's crisis time is coming on: April 19, 2021, 10:36:53 PM
Doesn't matter. Bitcoin has already died hundreds of times ever since it was made, to die another time wouldn't mean too much. The current hype around DOGE is another one of those pump and dump schemes that Elon has set for some ulterior motive he has under his sleeve, so take the current boom in DOGECOIN's price with a grain of salt.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin last till infinity on: April 19, 2021, 10:29:26 PM
Bitcoin will continue to exist as long as people know how to use the internet, or has a way to access the internet itself. That's why a world war or something of the likes is the worst thing that can happen to us crypto investors and enthusiasts because of the fact that war impedes on technological progress, which means that there will be less support and usage for internet.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk please stop messing up the crypto market on: April 19, 2021, 10:27:12 PM
He's memeing but you have to keep in mind that he does this with some kind of motive. He bought bitcoin so he knows he has some semblance and reputation in the market. He'd use this power he has to manipulate the people into buying or selling their coins for his own benefit. That's just the way it is.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wyoming legalized online sports betting - crypto wagers allowed too on: April 19, 2021, 10:17:32 PM
I think it's actually nice that Wyoming specifically included the "In lieu of greenbacks" statement in the clause. Personally, it's better if I know how much my money or earning is worth in fiat since that is what we use on the daily basis anyway. I think it's a nice feature that most gambling sites should add in theirs too. Although I think it's actually counterproductive for crypto that they'd have to cash in with fiat instead of crypto.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos: Internal notifications, message inbox vs Email. on: April 19, 2021, 10:07:28 PM
I think a lot of casinos and gambling sites are self-confessed offenders to the fact that they don't actively update their users in any way shape or form that their terms of conditions have changed. A very big defining factor on how the users will enjoy their gambling and they do not exert even the slightest effort to at least email everyone that their conditions have changed. Just shows how the crypto gambling industry still has a lot of room to grow.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Feature Do You Look for In Slot Games? on: April 19, 2021, 10:00:30 PM
I'm a sucker for free stuff, so when I play virtual slot games what I usually look for is if the site has free spins or bonuses when you reach a certain spin milestone, otherwise I opt not to waste my money in there. I also check however if the site looks good, because it gives you this sense of legitimacy because you knew that the owners invested money in the site and would not pull a fast one on you for a quick buck.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An unconfirmed tweet caused a $288 billion fall in bitcoin market value today on: April 18, 2021, 11:48:29 PM
Things like that often happen here in crypto, the bear market that is. However, the news about the US treasury department must be confirmed if true in the quickest of time possible. We're talking about billions of losses here caused by a tweet that isn't even confirmed if true. Someone has to do it so no further FUD happens and so no more people FOMO out of bitcoin.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An obvious rigging of Sports. on: April 18, 2021, 11:41:03 PM
Saw this yesterday. From the clips alone you can definitely tell that there's something fishy going on, constantly missing shots, dribbling like you're a belligerent drunk, letting someone take the ball, it's like watching slimes play basketball because of how lame and limpy they all play. A good thing that the committee saw that the game was cancelled, and hopefully an intensive investigation is conducted to find out who the perpetrator of this fixing is.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase VS Binance Valuation - is Binance way undervalued? on: April 17, 2021, 10:07:58 PM
To be fair, the reason why Coinbase is valued higher than binance is because it is still isn't listed publicly. Give Binance the same opportunities and offers that Coinbase has been given and you bet your bottom dollar it will be appraised much higher than Coinbase is. It's a bigger exchange than Coinbase, but is still technically not publicly listed among the giants at NASDAQ, once it does, it's going to balloon in value.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bought my vitamins with Bitcoin on: April 17, 2021, 10:04:19 PM
It's through these simple peer to peer transactions where bitcoin will truly be adopted. Not in those high-amounts over the counter corporate processes, although of course they will play a role in its adoption. It's through us guys that bitcoin will thrive, since word of mouth is still a very effective way of recommending something to someone. So let's keep this small transactions going, little by little we will let everyone know how great bitcoin is.
