761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You won today, but then you will lose often on: April 21, 2021, 10:15:02 PM
Just goes to show how important self-control is in ensuring that your wins are secured. No matter how big or small your wins are, if you can't control your gambling habits you'll lose them all one day. I was like this in the past, until I decided to follow a regimen in gambling that would allow me to discipline myself and instill control so I don't drag out my gambling sessions until 4 am in the morning.
762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC's crisis time is coming on: April 19, 2021, 10:36:53 PM
Doesn't matter. Bitcoin has already died hundreds of times ever since it was made, to die another time wouldn't mean too much. The current hype around DOGE is another one of those pump and dump schemes that Elon has set for some ulterior motive he has under his sleeve, so take the current boom in DOGECOIN's price with a grain of salt.
763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin last till infinity on: April 19, 2021, 10:29:26 PM
Bitcoin will continue to exist as long as people know how to use the internet, or has a way to access the internet itself. That's why a world war or something of the likes is the worst thing that can happen to us crypto investors and enthusiasts because of the fact that war impedes on technological progress, which means that there will be less support and usage for internet.
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk please stop messing up the crypto market on: April 19, 2021, 10:27:12 PM
He's memeing but you have to keep in mind that he does this with some kind of motive. He bought bitcoin so he knows he has some semblance and reputation in the market. He'd use this power he has to manipulate the people into buying or selling their coins for his own benefit. That's just the way it is.
765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wyoming legalized online sports betting - crypto wagers allowed too on: April 19, 2021, 10:17:32 PM
I think it's actually nice that Wyoming specifically included the "In lieu of greenbacks" statement in the clause. Personally, it's better if I know how much my money or earning is worth in fiat since that is what we use on the daily basis anyway. I think it's a nice feature that most gambling sites should add in theirs too. Although I think it's actually counterproductive for crypto that they'd have to cash in with fiat instead of crypto.
766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos: Internal notifications, message inbox vs Email. on: April 19, 2021, 10:07:28 PM
I think a lot of casinos and gambling sites are self-confessed offenders to the fact that they don't actively update their users in any way shape or form that their terms of conditions have changed. A very big defining factor on how the users will enjoy their gambling and they do not exert even the slightest effort to at least email everyone that their conditions have changed. Just shows how the crypto gambling industry still has a lot of room to grow.
767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Feature Do You Look for In Slot Games? on: April 19, 2021, 10:00:30 PM
I'm a sucker for free stuff, so when I play virtual slot games what I usually look for is if the site has free spins or bonuses when you reach a certain spin milestone, otherwise I opt not to waste my money in there. I also check however if the site looks good, because it gives you this sense of legitimacy because you knew that the owners invested money in the site and would not pull a fast one on you for a quick buck.
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An unconfirmed tweet caused a $288 billion fall in bitcoin market value today on: April 18, 2021, 11:48:29 PM
Things like that often happen here in crypto, the bear market that is. However, the news about the US treasury department must be confirmed if true in the quickest of time possible. We're talking about billions of losses here caused by a tweet that isn't even confirmed if true. Someone has to do it so no further FUD happens and so no more people FOMO out of bitcoin.
769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An obvious rigging of Sports. on: April 18, 2021, 11:41:03 PM
Saw this yesterday. From the clips alone you can definitely tell that there's something fishy going on, constantly missing shots, dribbling like you're a belligerent drunk, letting someone take the ball, it's like watching slimes play basketball because of how lame and limpy they all play. A good thing that the committee saw that the game was cancelled, and hopefully an intensive investigation is conducted to find out who the perpetrator of this fixing is.
770  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase VS Binance Valuation - is Binance way undervalued? on: April 17, 2021, 10:07:58 PM
To be fair, the reason why Coinbase is valued higher than binance is because it is still isn't listed publicly. Give Binance the same opportunities and offers that Coinbase has been given and you bet your bottom dollar it will be appraised much higher than Coinbase is. It's a bigger exchange than Coinbase, but is still technically not publicly listed among the giants at NASDAQ, once it does, it's going to balloon in value.
771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bought my vitamins with Bitcoin on: April 17, 2021, 10:04:19 PM
It's through these simple peer to peer transactions where bitcoin will truly be adopted. Not in those high-amounts over the counter corporate processes, although of course they will play a role in its adoption. It's through us guys that bitcoin will thrive, since word of mouth is still a very effective way of recommending something to someone. So let's keep this small transactions going, little by little we will let everyone know how great bitcoin is.
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best Sport to bet on ? on: April 17, 2021, 09:59:12 PM
I've tried gambling on NBA, and European Football. But personally, the best sport to bet on will be the sport that you know most about as a gambler. Doesn't matter if it's something as big as Esports or as passive as Chess. As long as you know how the game is played, and how each players fare against each other, you'd be bagging wins, because there's always going to be a high-roller in every gambling field that you can get a score on if you know what you're doing.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling experiment - Doubling small stake for big gains on: April 17, 2021, 09:56:58 PM
This is actually good for the people who got small wins on their accounts that have gone unnoticed for a while. Those small amounts can be compounded through multiple wins which will then offer you huge gains for little to no risk since it's a small amount you've had to begin with. Although of course when it's ballooned up to a point that it's very noticeable, you may have to make the harsh decision of either stopping while you're ahead, or carrying on despite the huge risk margin. Anyhow, best of luck to you fellow gambler!

774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin problems that need to be solved on: April 16, 2021, 10:59:23 PM
I don't think security is a problem with bitcoin, since what the people just see is your address and the denominations you have sent, it is up to you to be more mindful of your coins, to make sure that you are not being hacked. Personally I think bitcoin's lack of feature to support its scalability is the main problem, we have here a very promising coin with no proper foundation to carry it when it becomes very valuable, that's why us users are the ones who have to shoulder the problem through  lengthy transactions and high transfer fees.
775  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you say you made money if you never actally sell your coins? on: April 16, 2021, 10:55:51 PM
Money not spent wisely is money wasted. You'd have to know how to create more money, and have that money be spent on something that is wise and will take you long ways. To hold forever will seem impractical, knowing that you'll have your necessities that you need to meet and things that you may have to purchase in the future.
776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Simpsons predicted an endless Bitcoin price growth on: April 15, 2021, 10:36:52 PM
Correlation is different from causation. The Simpson's bitcoin schtick is funny at best, but you can never use a gag show's eventualities as basis for what's to come in the future, especially for something as volatile and precious as bitcoin. Matt is just good at tickling the people's fancy, that is why some of the things that happen in the show turns out to be true in real life, he either has a very good grip of reality and is very observant about anything, or he is an alien with foresight abilities. You take your pick but I'll go for the one that makes most sense.
777  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does it still make sense to dollar cost average when the market is crazy bull? on: April 15, 2021, 10:33:45 PM
Highly dependent on the assets you're investing on. For most of the assets in the market you definitely don't need to DCA since the bull run will do the work for you. But if you're a fan of some cryptos that you know show great potential to grow but is somehow stale or bearish in price, when almost everything is going green, DCA is the way to go for me.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the biggest competitive eSports? Do you ever place eSport bets? on: April 15, 2021, 10:21:41 PM
Dude, 2015-2018 is the pinnacle of eSports popularity. I remember everyone in school talking about who's the best league of legends team and why it is SKT, or why Dendi is the best Pudge player of all time. Just talking about this brings me back to the days where you don't have to worry about contracting COVID. I also remember fantasy esports being the gateway to eSports betting for the most of my acquaintances, we'd all sign up for Alphadraft and then win some bets or lose most of them.
779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on how to place sports bets on: April 15, 2021, 10:16:42 PM
Completely agree on the first two pointers you made regarding sports bets. It's always better to have a couple of background knowledge on the game you're betting on and the team you're betting for. Since that is what will almost always decide whether you win the bet or not. The second pointer makes sense too, because being a high-roller isn't always a good thing and testing the waters most of the times is the key ingredient to winning more games in sports bets.
780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving asset in bitcoin is much more better than saving in banks on: April 14, 2021, 11:14:02 PM
If you are into security, then the banks should be your go-to when it comes to saving your money. However, if you are an average joe that is more willing to gain an edge to profit rather than secure your money in the bank, then crypto is the best for you. It's all a case-to-case basis, and just because the banks are losing hard against crypto doesn't mean we have to rule them out of the equation. As much as rigged and vile the banking industry is, they are still needed in a world that is basically running in fiat.
