801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do I need to pay Tax on my Crypto Gambling Winnings? A guide on: April 09, 2021, 11:18:45 PM
It is only fair that you pay a portion of tax of your gambling winnings as tax, be it crypto or fiat. Although I can tell that most of us in here are fond of gambling in crypto because it's convenient, and not a lot of countries imposed regulations so practically you don't have to pay for taxes at all. Although of course as crypto is becoming more and more accepted by the planet, this will change in the future. So expect that in the future, gambling winnings may receive deduction for taxation and alike.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You won today, but then you will lose often on: April 09, 2021, 10:58:52 PM
Goes to show how important self-control is. It doesn't matter if you win 100 games, because if you let your greed take over your decisions, you're still going to lose these hard-earned money. Perhaps try undergoing a regimen like some of the people here are telling you, it's a good way to make sure you're not getting addicted to gambling and it instills discipline to you as well.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Transactions Fees x Gambling on: April 09, 2021, 10:57:00 PM
I usually account for the tax and fees by adding a few extra dollars in my deposit. Highest I've paid for taxes was about 100 bucks back in February at the height of crypto rally. The transaction fees is definitely taking a big toll on my gambling manners, and made me even consider quitting because there's no way I'd have to pay that huge an amount just for taxes alone. Hopefully they do something about this because transaction fees this high is not healthy for the system, so much more for the users.
804  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next big news? on: April 08, 2021, 09:44:46 PM
If the resistance is that resilient then we can definitely expect to reach at least 100k by the end of this year. The tides of the market have been very generous to most of us ever since the billion dollar purchase of Elon Musk, which is then followed by numerous purchases from both public and private entities, much to the dismay of banking institution owners like JPMorgan, which previously claimed that no one will follow Elon's billion dollar bitcoin purchase.
805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal created crypto checkout service!! on: April 08, 2021, 09:03:47 PM
Something that should've been done in the past. Though I believe in the saying that it's better late than never. With this update, we expect that more and more people, especially those using paypal services, are going to invest their money into crypto. Which means more people adopting bitcoin, altogether helping bitcoin's price to increase, and maybe just maybe, further bitcoin's advance in becoming a currency that can top the conventional fiat currency we came to know.
806  Economy / Economics / Re: Are "Work Ethics" & "American Dream" a way to keep people working hard? on: April 08, 2021, 08:57:52 PM
Work ethics is something that is duly expected from you by your company. Yes it could be a mechanism to ensure that you are working at your utmost capacity but we can't just put a company's productivity in the hope that your team works hard because you trust them, so certain rules and regulations are necessary to ensure that a business stays alive, one way or another.
807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most entertaining Twitch gambling streamer? on: April 08, 2021, 08:54:41 PM
Trick2g which is a popular league of legends streamer has recently been playing gambling games, particularly poker, in between matches. I'm not fond of watching other people gamble since it draws out my energy which I could've used to find a much more enjoyable stream, but with trick's, I do not feel that way. Perhaps due to the fact that he's still playing other videogames other than poker.
808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its not so Easy to lose in crypto trading and btc on: April 07, 2021, 10:40:07 PM
Most newbies fall for these illusions, which then would cause them losses in the process. As a former newbie myself, I know that as you grow more as a crypto trader or investor, you're able to vanquish your FOMO ghosts and trade based on logic and rationality. It's just something that I bet almost all of us have been in for a good while, until we learned to do our own researches, not let FOMO break our spirits, and time our buys and sells right.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Your Bitcoin Wallet Be Hacked? How Can You Secure It? on: April 07, 2021, 10:37:14 PM
Every wallet has its weaknesses making it very susceptible to hacking, stealing, or loss. I personally keep a hard wallet as a backup to my virtual wallet so I can gain access to it either way or just when the time calls it. It brings me the peace of mind as I know my wallet is secure in more ways than one. Although the preference for which wallet to use is hewvily dependent on its user, so you have to ask yourself if the benefits of keeping your bitcoin in a particular form of wallet outweighs the dangers it is susceptible to.
810  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin are good and not USDT what else? on: April 07, 2021, 10:28:21 PM
I don't know, but a lot of cryptocurrencies in the market are showing great promise, as much as bitcoin's profitability, sometimes. But I believe it is all on the hands of the investor, because a coin, even something like bitcoin, will not come to rise if not for its supporters. So basically find a coin with a hard following, double check the graphs of that coin, and if you're confident enough, buy a few, keeping in mind not to all in and diversify your portfolio to ensure that profits are still achievable.
811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beware of the Frauds , how pandemic is affecting gambling negatively on: April 07, 2021, 10:24:33 PM
They have already been existing in the past mind you, but since the paradigm shift to digital services brought about by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, their huhting ground basically became bigger and wider. That being said, it is your responsibility as a gambler to ensure that you are not being pulled a fast one by these fraudulent entities, lest you risk losing all your hard-earned money and perhaps even more in the process. Just be more careful and vigilant.
812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does BITCOIN make a person's life better !? on: April 06, 2021, 10:39:46 PM
An acquaintance of mine same as my age was able to buy himself a car and build a house for his own, not to mention multiple other assets and properties under his name, because of bitcoin, and partly from other cryptocurrencies in the market. So yeah, with the right timing and patience, bitcoin can definitely make someone's life better. And the fact that bitcoin is easily approachable as an asset draws the opportunity to earn right in front of us.
813  Economy / Economics / Re: Why you can't be rich by owning crypto on: April 06, 2021, 10:34:29 PM
Inflation happens with or without bitcoin, you know what makes it happen? Overconsumption, unlivable wages, and low quality of life. With these three persisting to exist in the modern age, bitcoin or without, commodity prices will still balloon over time. What bitcoin does is help those who were wise enough to trust it to not feel the effects of these inflations, even just for a bit. So to make it out as if bitcoin's global adoption will commence complacency among people is not wise of an argument in my opinion.
814  Economy / Economics / Re: Miners Hodling Rates Increases. on: April 06, 2021, 10:28:54 PM
They're probably waiting for a more opportune moment to finally sell some or even all of their tokens, these are people too and just like us regular bitcoin investors are probably waiting for a certain price point to be hit before finally opening the gates, to be fair it's quite easier for them to recoup their losses even if their purchases significantly lowers bitcoin's value, since they can just mine it back. But for us investors, we're not going to have a field day with this.
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Gambling company that did hit the jackpot during the pandemic. on: April 06, 2021, 10:25:21 PM
This is not the only gambling firm that owned the current pandemic situation. In some countries, almost all of their online casinos reported gaining a considerable amount of profit in the span of 2020 following the pandemic. Frankly this is a sign that we can pretty much live in a somewhat virtual environment where jobs can be wherever they are and not confined in a cubicle, plus the fact that this pandemic opened new opportunities to earn in some fields.
816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am writing an article on how to stop bitcoin. Can you guy help out? on: April 05, 2021, 10:24:43 PM
I don't know about your list brother, those listed in it literally have tried putting bitcoin down to no avail, even JPMorgan is eating his words prior to bitcoin being more reachable than ever, plus more and more private individuals rallying behind Elon prior to his 1.9 billion purchase. It's literally unstoppable at this point, and if they were really passionate in stopping bitcoin, the only way this can be done is to stop internet from working entirely. Either set up a war that will span multiple nations. That is what can stop bitcoin from being reachable.
817  Economy / Economics / Re: The total value of the crypto currency market is near $2 trillion on: April 05, 2021, 10:16:20 PM
Cryptocurrency is becoming more and more needed by the people, this will further advance and hasten its global reach and adoption. One of the signs it's happening is the market cap for the industry, as we near $2 trillion, people are going to be more FOMOed to not add a few cryptos in their investment portfolios, probably even have crypto as their first assets to be owned. To me, this sparks a very great future for the industry, can't wait for what we have in store in the future.
818  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will replace oil and Gold on: April 05, 2021, 10:12:56 PM
If the current trend of technology carries on, there's not gonna be any need for oil anymore, electric vehicles are spearheading this trend and so far, we're up to a good start. With more and more car companies forced to keep up with the contemporary needs of the people, it's not going to take a long time before we head to a greener planet, hence ensuring our survival as a species as well.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling firms helping Government and people during quarantine, literally. on: April 05, 2021, 10:07:59 PM
Gambling firms have been actively helping our governments, in form of taxes of course. That being said, it's quite novel for me to hear about gambling firms directly helping a country's government thru methods other than what's stated earlier. Goes to show how these two fields are at least intertwined to one another.
820  Economy / Economics / Re: Food Prices Are Soaring Faster Than Inflation and Incomes on: April 04, 2021, 11:02:20 PM
The world depletes its resources, population rises even more and this causes food and resource shortage in some parts of the world, couple that with incompetent governance, and what you have is the recipe for a societal cesspool. Work hours are fairly justified, but not well-compensated because of inflation. If this drags out, we'll be at war again for resources, much like in medieval times, stone ages even.
