841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's gonna buy Tesla using Bitcoin? on: March 29, 2021, 10:17:07 PM
Not me apparently, Teslas don't come cheap, and living in a third-world country doesn't help either lmao. Although of course, this move by Tesla could potentially revolutionize the car industry yet again, introducing a new form of payment rather than the conventional cash or check. That being said, I am looking forward to what this move of Tesla has to offer for us.
842  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin after the pandemic on: March 29, 2021, 10:11:17 PM
Bitcoin may show stable growth and positive marks during the pandemic, but this pandemic undoubtably put a lot of families and people into total turmoil, either because of loss of family members, finances, and even education at times. So as much as I am happy for bitcoin literally defying the odds and reaching greater heights after a very disappointing march 2020, the world is still yet to heal, what compels me is how bitcoin can be used to turn this situation around, perhaps in the near future.
843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who where how much withdrew from no deposit on: March 29, 2021, 08:41:53 PM
There's no chance a modern crypto gambling site is going to implement no deposit policy. Little to no KYC, plus profitability alone disallows these sites from implementing a no deposit policy, whether they want to or not.
This goes without saying that of course, a small amount of us in here get to experience this feature in the past, and most probably it's not even existent anymore, this includes me, although I have been starting to gamble big-time just last year.
844  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A quick thought on how to help/save bitcoin. on: March 29, 2021, 03:23:49 AM
If we use the same keywords or hashtags we may just be able to break it into trending. This is provided that a lot of us here in the forum jump into the hype and help us market these projects. If we do this by the thousands, we'll literally have a chance at letting the mainstream media know about bitcoin and how to get, keep, and buy one as well.
845  Economy / Economics / Re: Splitting the Baby, and other Operations of Fate: the Fate and Economics Thread on: March 28, 2021, 10:38:03 PM
A very good analysis and concept. Although I am not really into fate, or destiny, as I believe it imposes complacency to people. It is possible that Satoshi saw the market and the current society for the cesspool it is and decided to create a technology that will allow the world of the future to become a little bit liveable, it's not that impossible considering he is a very smart guy for him to even make a project like this.
846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much btc do you need to secure your future? on: March 28, 2021, 10:33:36 PM
In the Philippines a single bitcoin could set 2 families for life in a simple way of living. But for an average family to be able to live without hassles and fears of not being able to pay the bills, next momth or whatnot, they're probably going to need more then 7 bitcoins. The Philippines isn't an expensive country to live in, really but the people in here are third-worlders, meaning some of what you may consider impoverished in the US may live a very good life in here
847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: March 28, 2021, 10:30:39 PM
Irresponsible people and gamblers will find someone or somebody to blame for their self-inflicted mishaps, and that's how I see people who blame fate for being so unlucky at gambling. The odds aren't always in your favor, sometimes not at all, that should've been established right from the start, but some people just love rushing headlong without thinking about the consequences of their actions. Losses are avoidable in gambling if you are responsible enough to learn self-control. That's my two cents.
848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of BTC on: March 27, 2021, 10:30:13 PM
It's not wise to assume that the current situation of bitcoin will be it's finality, regardless whether it's going good or going bad. A lot of people back in 2018 to the earlier parts of 2020 aren't sold to bitcoin due to the price crash, but look at what we are right now. What I'm trying to say is that it's not wise to assume, either you forcibly make your future, or you don't predict at all.
849  Economy / Economics / Re: Over the Past 300 Years, No Fiat Money Has Escaped Going to 0 on: March 27, 2021, 09:28:48 PM
I guess it's just the way of life to tell us how measly money is compared to much more important things in this planet. Although of course, in the current society we live in, money is forcibly integrated into every sector making it very hard for people without money to fit and live a content life in the current state of the planet. Then again, this is what cryptocurrencies are for, let's just hope for the best and believe that this will not happen to crypto.
850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Considering huge transaction fees, what coins to support on new gambling site? on: March 27, 2021, 09:24:16 PM
I'm seeing more and more people looking at BTT not only because of its relatively cheap cost but because of it's profitability as well. Not too long ago it was sitting at a measly $0.00021 but has since increased in price and is now sitting at $0.0041 imagine how big the gains are, not to mention its low transaction fee as well, and since it's backed by a well-respected gambling site, there's no way you could go wrong with holding a few BTTs yourself!
851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to win at roulette? on: March 27, 2021, 09:18:17 PM
Well, betting more gives your more chances to winning in Roulette. Although of course, this comes with an increased chance of losing and an even bigger chance of losing your funds in the process. Might as well practice self-control or learn it at the very least as it is easier and would help you secure wins in the long run, instead of following a technique religiously.
852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is for Holders! on: March 26, 2021, 09:51:40 PM
This has been shown and had been witnessed by a lot of people over the course of bitcoin's current life. The coin dearly rewards the people who can wait for it, weak-hands, not so much, probably not at all. That is why I like to call bitcoin the lazy man's money-making tool, because at the right conditions and situations, you can literally turn the average Joe living a sedentary life into someone who you'll subscribe to youtube to hear investment strats to.
853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it so hard to make one Good coin? on: March 26, 2021, 09:48:13 PM
Bitcoin is meant to be a currency that can be transferred anywhere in the world regardless of rules imposed or boundaries. Satoshi prolly never thought of bitcoin's scalability which then caused this current problems we have with transactions. Then again this isn't going to be the way bitcoin works forever as Lightning Network and similar projects are aimed to fully remedy this problem.
854  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you explain NFT to a 5 years old child? on: March 26, 2021, 09:46:07 PM
Most kids nowadays learn more when you either let them experience or do things themselves, or when it is videogame-related. So you can explain it to a kid in a way that would incorporate these two factors. I personally like to think that telling the kid that NFTs are just like Roblox Items or Skins in Fortnite that can be bought or sold to other people is the best way to explain it to a kid. Of course you'll avoid the technical mumbo jumbo because duh, that's a 5-year-old kid we're talking about.
I think 5 year olds still have too much difficulty understanding NFT tokens, they are more interested in online games. I said that because
I do have a 5 year old child, after all introducing the world of crypto to 5 year olds is too fast in my opinion. The appropriate age is given
knowledge of the crypto world of around 12 years, which is mature enough to understand cryptocurrency. Regarding NFT tokens in the crypto
industry, it is only to make profit as well as other tokens. Therefore, in my opinion, NFT tokens will only be used for pump and dump.
That depends on the kid, you said yourself that kids focus more on videogames, why not incorporate that when explaining? It shouldn't be that hard.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: March 26, 2021, 09:42:43 PM
It's better to be aware of your shortcomings than denying them all the way through. Traits of an irresponsible gambler include not being able to accept that it's his fault for losing and that the mindset that the next game will guarantee him a win. This can easily be remedied by controlling simple urges to carry on through a strict mantra or program. I personally stop gambling after getting 4 wins or 3 losses, and so far it had allowed me to gather profits. You can try something similar as well.

858  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you trade? on: March 10, 2021, 11:06:57 PM
Usually depends on the level of trust people have over the coin. If we're talking about bitcoin, then I usually just buy and HODL it, not really letting my distractions come at play. If it's for smaller altcoins however, I use technicalities and support charts to help guide me when trading. That way I know or at least I have a good idea of what to predict. Rarely do I let my emotions take over me when it comes to trading.
859  Economy / Economics / Re: Did tesla's $1.5 billion bitcoin purchase negatively affect their stock price on: March 10, 2021, 11:03:50 PM
"Because I'm stupid" -Elon Musk.
Kiddings aside, I don't really think the bitcoin purchase is what ultimately caused the sudden depreciation in Tesla's stock value. Of course it is still at question, but a 1.9B purchase shouldn't be something that could really affect it, at least this quick and sudden.

Now what I really think about this is that the sudden drop in Tesla's stock price is due to the fact that the hype over electric vehicles is slowly dying out, Tesla hadn't released any major news as of yet and we aren't sure when will be the next time we hear from them with a news about the upcoming car that could revolutionize the vehicle industry.
860  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: March 10, 2021, 10:58:06 PM
I guess every politician aims to abolish corruption in all shapes and forms but it is my first time encountering it being very particular to Sport Corruption. Now this could be due to various reasons that us outsiders wouldn't know but if it involves using the Government Funds then that could be a call to action. Hence why these politicians in your country are very specific about it.
Indeed, it is very difficult to separate sports and corruption, because in reality the two are closely related. Because for corruptors, sport is the easiest
way to make money. They just need to arrange the results of the match the way they want. They can do this by giving bribes to the referee or
athlete. Because sports are very much in demand all over the world.

Therefore, now there are so many sports betting platforms that have sprung up. Another interesting fact is that it is very difficult to eradicate corruption
in this world. Because corruption occurs everywhere, perhaps it is the human nature of being greedy to make corruption always happen.
sports is undoubtably intertwined with corruption, but the thing is, if let's say the government of the United States all of a sudden released a statement that the Superbowl will be under surveillance to ensure that no corruption will go on, then that means for something major or weird happening in the backgroumd.
