601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FUCK! The Bitcoin is dead again. This time for sure. on: June 13, 2018, 04:15:34 PM
The price is forcing you to make this assertion. We'll all witness its rise, believe you me. I have heard worse prediction, Bitcoin has a way of surprising us all
I have heard this many times that bitcoin will be dead. All we need is to believe that bitcoin will gain its price again instead of worrying because it will go for nothing if people just continue making prediction about bitcoin being dead.
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how long you can stay without gambling? on: June 13, 2018, 04:11:51 PM
Some of the gamblers are addicted so much to these casino games so they can't stay without playing even a single day.

I can stop completely without gambling and can control myself.

How about you and how long you can control yourself for not playing these games?
I can stay anytime completely without gambling and i can absolutely control myself from playing because i have my own goals that i will not never be again addicted in gambling, so it is much better if i stay away in gambling no matter what happens.
603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories! on: June 13, 2018, 04:09:22 PM
Just curious to read some addict or former addict stories and probably some of us like me will be glad to see how things actually did roll in for them during this period and I believe some other persons tending towards that path can also learn from it. Also, if you have a friend or relative you can speak for, it would be appreciated.

Personally, this is what I would like to know though.

1. How did you find yourself ending up to become an addict? What instigated it to the point that you just found yourself not being able to control the impulse any longer? What was the feeling like and during those period of being an addict, did you know and were you willing to pop out of it?

2. What were the steps you took or the steps you are taking to get out from it, and on the scale of 1 to 10, how can you rate how you are doing now?

3. For those who are out of it, do you still gamble or still wish you could? In the case where you are still gambling, how do you want to make sure what happened initially does not end up repeating itself.

4. Any other thing you feel you can add is welcome.
I started get addicted in gambling when my friends invited me to come at the casino to play just for fun, but it turned out i mostly play gambling to gained profit that is why i started to get addicted with it. I started noticing it when all of my savings are gone, then i started quitting gambling and start focusing working on my job and my family.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is officially dead on: June 13, 2018, 03:55:37 PM
We have seen ETH going up and down so many time. Now do you think ETH is officially dead, why do you think so?
Even ethereum's price going up and down so many times it will not be dead because it will still be the greatest altcoin no matter what happens to its price. I also see that ethereum has a potential like bitcoin to have more greater value in the near future.
605  Economy / Economics / Re: Why most bitcoin users from good economies countries? on: June 13, 2018, 03:51:57 PM
We can not deny the big country with good economy, it will make the society economy better too.
So they can follow the economic development and participate in transactions and investments in Bitcoin era.
How the people of small countries can participate in participation and benefit from it?
It would be very difficult to calculate the statistics of users of each country, but the comparison of Bitcoin ATM growth from this early 2017 report can be the initial reference of the statistics.
Perhaps by the end of this year, there will be more Bitcoin ATM growth across the board due to the growing interest in bitcoin this year.

In my own opinion, good economies countries have a lot of bitcoin users because countries like japan and america has a lot of rich people who are investing in bitcoin and they have already accepting bitcoin as payment. Hoping that someday bitcoin will be used all over the world not only in good economies countries.
606  Economy / Economics / Re: Should we teach children to have businessman mentality or be successful employee on: June 13, 2018, 03:42:51 PM
We all have that thought why do Chinese people actually make it in the business world. The reason apparently is that at an early age, their parents are conditioning the minds of their children to do business in the hopes that they will actually be heirs to their family business.
In your opinion, should we be teaching them the same or teaching them to be successful employees for the sake of climbing up the economic ladder?
I think it is a great idea to teach your children to be a good businessman or to be a successful employee because they will have a big chance to be accepted in huge companies when they grow up or if you already have a business they could manage it easily and to make it more successful.
607  Economy / Economics / Re: With Hackers everywhere, How safe is Cryptocurrency? on: June 13, 2018, 03:31:56 PM
Its no longer news that an ICO in Japan has lost over $400 million to hackers. They promised to pay back investors who invested in their ICO. Thsi is a huge loss. After I read that news, I began to wonder. How safe is Bitcoin and Other altcoins? What measures should we take to avoid being hacked ?
I think cryptocurrencies are really safe to store in your wallets as long you protect them and hidden them from hackers or untrusted people. There are a lot of great hackers but i think as long you avoid them from knowing your information you will not get hacked by them.
608  Economy / Economics / Re: I almost lost my rock solid regular job because of crypto on: June 13, 2018, 03:20:03 PM
Like the title says, i almost lost my regular job as a software developer today when my boss reviewed my work. The job has been able to economically provide a comfortable life for me and losing it would really be a big hit to my income. I almost lost it because i spent so much time learning about everything crypto (mining, trading, bounties, etc.).

Has anyone else experienced this? I just feel pretty lucky I was given another chance and want to remind other people that having a regular job is much better than relying on the volatility of cryptocurrencies. Make sure you prioritize your work!

It is good that you keep your job because nowadays a lot of coins start to fall its price that is why it is very hard to earn huge profits in cryptocurrency. It is better to keep your job while using bitcoin for you to have more better income.
609  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin and Disable person on: June 13, 2018, 03:10:33 PM
This is a common thing happens in different countries where the government mandatory give assistance to there citizens with disability, and the sad truth is that the assistance from government is not enough.

This is the perfect time to introduce bitcoin to persons with disability by doing this they don't need to rely only on government assistance, because they are now started to earn there own money to support their needs.
In my own personal opinion, it is possible that people eho has a disability can help bitcoin as long they are educated and have a kind of technology to access in bitcoin. But i think the government should be helping people with disabilities instead of bitcoin because it is one of their duties to help people who are in needs.
610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens with my crypto when I die? on: June 13, 2018, 05:06:35 AM
Silly question right? Smiley
Unless there is a backup method or heritage system it obviously vanishes for eternity, but the point was to discover methods that you are aware for avoiding such risks.

Well, it's not a risk, it's a certainty, but there are other risks of losing access to the crypto account aswell.
Some like:
* death... obviously
* house burns down along with hard wallet
* one can accidently loose his cold storage or hard wallet
* maybe other you figure out and I add them

So, what storage do you use to ensure your savings, or what do you think would be the best solution to overcome these risks?

UPDATE: I started this discusion because I can't see a decentralized solution for that, most of the centralized ones are largely known (wills at layers, online wallets and so on) but do not meet the security criteria as still imply a trusted party. Better simply handover the private key directly to the inheritant IMO.

What I want to determine is if it IS realy a concern for the comunity or not, and if yes than we can contribute all together to the creation of a such product. But again I realy do think it should be built decentralized and trustless.
If you die your cryptos or your holdings will be safe in your wallet, but if none of your family members or relatives knows how to access in any of your accounts then it will be all useless. To avoid it you should teach one of your family members about cryptocurrency and give them your private key, so they could access in your accounts.
611  Economy / Economics / Re: When will people feel comfortable using BTC ? on: June 13, 2018, 04:29:43 AM
In my own personal opinion, people will start to feel comfortable with bitcoin if the government in all over the world starts to approve bitcoin as a legal currency because everybody will start to accept bitcoin as payment and everybody all over the world will definitely used bitcoin.
612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if we die? on: June 13, 2018, 02:20:08 AM
Nope, this is no existential question (although...). Everybody's talking about "When will Bitcoin die", but what if you die, and your family don't find your key, or don't understand it, or think it's only a useless sheet of paper with some code on it, or simply throw it away... Does this mean the currency's gone forever?

I find the possibility of this event rather realistic (yup I don't believe in eternal life), so that means that someday there might be 21M BTC but only 18M (and counting down...) is left in the market?
In my own personal opinion, if we die and none of our family do not know how to access in any of our accounts then all of our holdings will be useless because they do not have any copy of our private keys. Better teach one of your family how to access on your account, so that if you die all of your holdings will not be useless.
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Blockchain Survive Without Bitcoin on: June 12, 2018, 03:36:54 PM

Blockchain Technology was driven to fame by its application on Bitcoin Gold due to its encryption that has been considered hacker proof. Bitcoin has been used as a reference to its success, providing a secure network for users.

The question however is, can blockchain succeed without bitcoin?
In my own personal opinion, blockchain will definitely survive without bitcoin because bitcoin is like just a product or project of blockchain technology. Bitcoin is the reason of popularity of blockchain, so i think if bitcoin dies blockchain will lose its popularity and it will lose a lot of investors.
614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How foolish are people who invest in Bitcoin? on: June 06, 2018, 06:41:48 AM
People who invest bitcoin are not fools, they try to get lucky by expecting bitcoin prices to rise higher.Because no one can be sure that when the bitcoin price goes up then it will go down, it may be able to rise even higher the price, but possibly can also Each person has his own way, knowledge, and belief in buying bitcoin. That's not stupidity and I hope bitcoin will go up so much higher that I can earn huge profits through bitcoin, as well as people who buy bitcoin in the hope of making a profit great as i did.
I totally agree. People who invest in bitcoin are not fools they just believe that bitcoin will increase its value someday, so they take the risk to invest in bitcoin. Even we are not sure when will bitcoin will increase its price again, bitcoin is still a good long term investment.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any other crypto replace bitcoin? on: June 06, 2018, 06:37:32 AM
There are many cryptocurrencies out there, the fluctuation is wide and big. There’s a need of a coin that uses a process to stabilize its value.

No doubt that there is no other cryptocurrency or altcoin that can supersede the bitcoin. At least not for the next 5-10 years. Of course there are many rising competitors like Ethereum, ripple and litecoin.

Do you agree???
In my own point of view, there are no any cryptocurrencies that can replace or surpass bitcoin because it is the first cryptocurrency that was created and it is the greatest cryptocurrency until now. But i think ethereum has a chance to be successful as bitcoin because it has a potential to have a good value and good investment like bitcoin.
616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling Versus Traditional Gambling on: June 06, 2018, 05:59:13 AM
What are the differences between online and traditional gambling ? Which you like the most and why ? In my opinion both the types of gambling have got their own advantages and disadvantages. You can try both for some time and then choose one based on your convenience.
Online gambling is played using a computer and an internet connection while traditional gambling is played in casino or infront of your opponents and with real money. In my own opinion, i more likely want to play traditional gambling because i like to play infront of other players.
617  Economy / Economics / Re: its not about how much you invested, its when you should invest? on: June 05, 2018, 03:03:02 PM
kinda strange when investing in a volitile  market. you can spend 10,000 $ into the market in january and come out less. than what a person invested in april with 10,000 $.

Timing is very important in everything especially when doing business. When you do some business in a right timing the result is better or even best so for my perspective, I think knowing when you should invest is more appropriate than how much you invest because investing a large money in a wrong time will be your great losr and nonsense unlike in investing in the right time it is a sureball that you will gain something.
618  Economy / Economics / Re: when you sell out of panic, you are contributing to the dump! on: June 05, 2018, 02:32:07 PM
Many of us here are saying, why is the cryptocurrencies market is getting a dump these days. Some are saying is because of the FuD, others are saying it is because of regulations laws in south Korea and India which is also child of FUD. But did you know that  when ever you sell out of panic, you are contributing to the dump and you are also attacking the blockchain technology!

Panic selling really do contributed in the dump of bitcoin's value and I think most of the people are aware to that. Doing it causes the price to go down in a way that they will sell it without thinking the possible outcome and impact of it. We can't blame the others by doing it for a reason that even though they are aware, most of us cannot hold it longer than we expect because we also face a financial crisis. In addition, not all of us can wait that long especially when we were running out hope. To avoid that I suggest that you should control your emotions and actions. Also, be patient and know that everything takes time.
619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Huge potential earnings in bitcoin, still not interesting for others on: June 05, 2018, 02:00:53 PM
As i began my journey through the world of cryptocurrency, it comes to my mind why other people are just ignoring the opportunities that bitcoin gives..

Can you give me some reasons why it's not that interesting for others?

Huge potential earnings in bitcoin doesn't catch the interest of other people is basically true. There are still a lot of people who are aware in the existence of it but still does not make a move to gain or plan to have. The reasons that I see are maybe the bad opinions of other regarding the bitcoin such as a scam is holding them back to begin involving in here. Another one is they don't have enough time to join and be active or even engage in bitcoin. Not acquiring enough knowledge and will to learn or know the it deeply is another cause for them to be not interested in here.
620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you need to know before investing in crypto on: June 05, 2018, 01:21:00 PM
A news from ABS-CBN, a Filipino Media and Entertainment Group.

MANILA - An investor who saw a 39,000-percent increase in his bitcoin investment warned on Monday that many cryptocurrency investment schemes right now are scams.

Emerson Fonseca, Philippine head of NEM Foundation, told ANC's Market Edge that since he started trading bitcoin 2 years ago, a lot of scams have cropped up because people don't understand cryptocurrencies.

What are your opinions?

Ofcourse there are a lot of things you must need to know first before entering the world of cryptocurrency. If you were to invest in here, you need to know the real meaning, purpose, system, use, pros and cons, and any detail even if it is small in order for you to fully understand it so that you might have an idea on what you were suppose to do and the don'ts. It can help you to plan a good strategy in investing in cryptocurrency in result to bigger income or earnings.
