241  Economy / Economics / Re: World debt and currency reset on: November 19, 2019, 06:41:29 PM
What the Governments do about that?

Do you think they can just wipe off the debt..

Let's Say people own debt what they cant repay so the government can just restart everything  all over again people debts will be just deleted and everything will start again?

What You think what the government will do Around the world?

Are they gona replace the currency with other currency?

They will let the economy to fall Down

They will restart the whole system and nobody have no debts at all.

The world system is currently in crisis. The environment is getting destroyed and natural resources are being abused leading to shortage which will surely end up resulting into famine. If the governments of different nations are just going to sit and act blind, our world will soon meet its end. The proposal of having cryptocurrency as an official monetary mean for all the people can be a tool to save the world from drowning. It may be theoretical but we will never know what will happen if we are not going to try.
242  Economy / Economics / Re: Asset backed cryptocoins? on: November 19, 2019, 06:14:18 PM
when there are assets that have cryptocurrency support it is very difficult to happen because for now cryptocurrency still has no legality that can make cryptocurrency can be used for all payments in the world, so no one can provide a clear guarantee of cryptocurrency because it still does not have support from governments throughout the country.
Or we can say that bitcoin still has to be legalized by majority of the world. However, you can find examples of companies that are actually selling their products and services in exchange of bitcoin and other altcoins. It is just a matter of time before digital currencies of decentralized nature will be legalized by governments, even if they wont want to. The reason would be mass adoptions of digital coins.
We have seen some of the assets backed crypto coins in the market on the way and do you guys think this will be the future as this is directly based on national assets like gold and other products like charcoal and energy based products.  This will help in growth of country's economy if not taken over by greedy corporatesand and and will it have government's support or soft corner in the regulator's eye as it will bring in some money from outside.
Considering the fact that cryptocurrency is not yet legal all over the world, we cannot still fully rely on assets alone always. It would be a hard way of surviving for crypto. We should seek more for the approval of cryptocurrency being legal all over the world so that the assets would be widespread dessiminating more help compared to what we have now. We should also look forward on regulating the users more so that the government will not be able to take advantage on crypto.
243  Economy / Economics / Re: What should I convert my money into? on: November 19, 2019, 05:52:04 PM
I have about $1k in local currency (Russian ruble) and I strongly believe that this currency is not the best choice to store money for long periods.

As you might know, there was a Crimea occupation done by Russians about 5 years ago. This was followed by sanctions USA and EU put onto Russia. After that ruble devaluation started. It actually could be stopped by now, at least hindered, as some serious people say, but the Bank of Russia(local fed) doesn't do anything. Though it must and has all resources to.

I suppose I will convert it to either btc or usd, I can't choose what is better... maybe I have to store money %50 in btc and %50 in usd... but I read somewhere there can be another global financial crisis soon... perhaps I could only store it as btc, I know there is a lot of people in Nigeria buying btc because its currency is hyperinflated and majority of population there don't have bank accounts. Well, the policy of Bank of Russia can also lead to unbanked population due to the fact there are lots of banks blocking all "suspicious" transactions without even explaining why it is so "suspicious". Oh and you also should tell where did you get this money and where they go to, otherwise we close your bank account, dear terrorist-money-laundering scum client.

I have reasons to believe Russia will finally turn to its African sibling in several years.

I know this is opinion-related topic and I shouldn't consider your answer as financial advice. Anyway I'd like to see what you think about it and what you would do. Even better, you could reason why you think this way.
You have a lot of options from altcoins to bitcoin but you should not make a move unless you analzed the market value of those properly. There's no certainty your money will grow right away but you can make sure that you will sooner get some good news if you've picked the right coin. You can also put it in the bank for a while so that it will grow surely but not that much and if you are not going to be satisfied with that, you should pick crypto as an investment to get very high profits but it'll just take up a lot of time first.
244  Economy / Economics / Re: finding investors on: November 19, 2019, 05:21:55 PM
When ever a new company/startup looking to raise/start its business, they do consider one of many ways to find investors Through top-tier business schools, industry friends, Angel investor networks, Crowd funding and by city's entrepreneurial community. All that by Proving they are market ready.
I am myself trying to do the same, failing multiple times at finding investors and funding my business. (I have not reached the phase of giving up yet)
I want just to get some advice on bitcoin investors. do they exist? how can I find them? can they invest in real world project not just invest in online projects. Can bitcoin be one of the ways that a company/startup can seek to raise up? having patience as an enemy, making hasty decisions, having hope, and sometimes lack of knowledge is it a good idea to seek the bitcoin way.
And I quot "The biggest risk is not taking any risk... In a world that changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks." Mark Zuckerberg
Is using bitcoin investment worth the risk? more people will go with the normal and stable flow because bitcoin is too risky. Personally i think it is worth the risk, but how can a person grantee and secure his startup, bitcoin investment knowing that many countries do not accept bitcoin as a legitimate money and therefore no business contract can be made.

Ps: I apologies for my English.
You can find bitcoin investors everywhere in this forum. You can have a conversation with one of them and get some tips on how you can be a successful investor. It would be a great for you if you are just a beginner because experience will always be the greatest teacher of all time and all those experience can only be found from those who have already spent a lot of time in the crypto world. You can also get some new knowledge from them which you can use to find a good investment and to avoid trouble from scams and fraud.
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How we can introduce bitcoin to local people on: November 18, 2019, 04:12:14 PM
One day, I think to myself about how to spreads bitcoin to other people. After I create threads https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5191717.0, I see many of us don't try or don't have time to come into a gathering or make a meetup. So how we can introduce bitcoin to local people in our country if we are not trying to tells them about bitcoin? I know that will related to the regulations in every countries but we can introduce to our close friend so they will spread it into their closest friends too.

And if this is succeed, I think cryptocurrency will grow step by step. I know we can spread bitcoin online, but that doesn't mean all people in your country are aware of bitcoin. How they can know bitcoin if they never use the internet to search the news while we can tell them about bitcoin and another coin by offline.
That would be a hard task. It's like teaching a baby on how he should do mathematics at a very young age. Though that's a difficult one, likewise on a baby, you should just slowly wait for them to grow and know their capabilities. Teach them through starting on the very basics and let them do their company on their own. First of all, you should provide them internet and smartphones first then let them know how to use it till the time they are capable of learning what bitcoin is and what does it do to people from the urban places. Through that, you can make sure knowledge about bitcoin is passed properly.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are underutilizing Bitcoin on: November 18, 2019, 03:52:04 PM
Full article: https://www.forrestvisions.com/blog/people-are-underutilizing-bitcoin

People need to start accepting Bitcoin and keeping it, not converting it.

If you think of Bitcoin as just a virtual placeholder for fiat currency, stable coins will be the future and Bitcoin will slowly fade away.

Thoughts?
We can never make a conclusion on what are the things that you need to do with your bitcoin. I think it would be better if we consider the fact that the things that you do with your bitcoin should rely on what's happening on the present. You cannot stick to one strategy knowing that there are a lot of things going on in the crypto market everyday. There are times where we need to hold our bitcoin and there are also times where we should use it in transactions and investment so that things will be set in balance.
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Friendly City on: November 18, 2019, 03:29:48 PM
I have been searching for topics that will somehow help empower the bitcoin community. I have been previously posting bitcoin friendly politicians and the list of their names in this forum. Today I will share to you bitcoin friendly cities. This maybe a boring topic but its better to read topics that can inspire the bitcoin community rather than negative and threatening topics.

The list is courtesy to https://www.investopedia.com/articles/forex/042415/10-cities-leading-bitcoin-adoption.asp

1 San Francisco, U.S.
2 Vancouver, Canada
3 Amsterdam, the Netherlands
4 Ljubljana, Slovenia
5 Tel Aviv, Israel
6 Zurich, Switzerland
7 Tampa, U.S.
8 Buenos Aires, Argentina
9 New York, U.S.
10 London, U.K.

After reading the article published by investopedia.com the common thing that makes these cities bitcoin friendly is the presence of merchants accepting bitcoins and the existence of bitcoin atms.
It seems like bitcoin has been garnering respect all over the world from time to time. We should expect that sooner or later, bitcoin will be dominating the world making revolution to promote the convenience and advantages of using it. We are currently in the time of transition where the use of fiat is getting close on being outdated. Expect it that sooner or later, crypto will be used in many transactions and will be included to the everday life of many people all over the world.

This chart is showing you the top 200 coins performance against bitcoin. It's clearly who is outperforming here. Bitcoin is the king of crypto. Alts got rekt specially when bitcoin made a move like Jagger on the 1st April. But that wasn't april's fools day! Or was it?

Bitcoin has been sitting on the throne for so long and no one was able to replace it or get on the top of it. It was the pioneer and it was able to hold its top position amidst all the crisis the crypto world had. We should put up a lot of trust in it already knowing that it has already proven its worth for many times. I have been investing on bitcoin for a very long time already and even when its price goes down, I still hold on my hope and trust in it because I know it will be worth it in the end.

1) ang mga ito ay nakatali sa public-open blockchain - sinuman ay pwedeng sumali at lumahok sa network;

2) maaari silang ipadala, matanggap o imina (mining).

Tokens

Summary

250  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Bakit bagsak ang Ethereum?! on: November 16, 2019, 01:30:03 PM
251  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Meron pa bang matinong bounty? on: November 16, 2019, 01:03:59 PM

Last na nasalihan ko was Evident Proof bounty last year, eth yung payment sa bounty hunters last November pa and nag-distribute naman sila.
252  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Is this the RIGHT TIME on: November 16, 2019, 12:42:28 PM

Maraming Salamat
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible that Bitcoin becomes quiescent? on: November 14, 2019, 06:38:28 PM
In the year 2130 all of the Bitcoins will have been mined and the only reward at this point is transaction fees,if most people are using Bitcoin just as a store of wealth, then there are very few transactions, which means there is very little reward for mining and so a lot of computers would pull out of the Bitcoin network. Would this be a problem? If large Bitcoin transactions occured sparingly in 2130 and beyond, would the Bitcoin concept still work?
If we are going to look at bitcoin during those times where technology has already advanced massively and cryptocurrency is just a common currency, we can say that bitcoin may end up being quescent. Bitcoin has been mined for so long and there are some experts telling us that at some point of time, it will become inactive. Having that worst case scenario, we should be thankful because we may get to live in a world where bitcoin will still be mined and only those who lives on those years will experience the worst thing that may happen to bitcoin.
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks do not control my bitcoins - Zimbabwe News! on: November 14, 2019, 06:17:52 PM
So, everyone should already have heard that Zimbabwe has issued a new currency, because most of us look at Zimbabwe as an example of what goes wrong with Fiat currencies when they fail.  Wink

The problem is that they have a huge shortage of the new currency, so people are only allowed to withdraw a limited amount of it and then there are already people selling it on the street at a premium to people that desperately need it.

So imagine this, you rock up at the ATM and you want to draw $500, but all the ATMs tells you that you can only withdraw a maximum of $100 per day.  Tongue

Luckily for us Bitcoiners, nobody can tell us how much we can use, because we control our own currency.  Wink This is just another reminder of what true Financial freedom are supposed to be.  Grin

It is now the time we boast the advantages of bitcoin which can be implemented on a certain country for a better mometary system. This is a certain call for the attention of everyone to see that bitcoin is way more better than fiat and the manipulation of the government will never stop but we can be freed by bitcoin. A country should have a government that would provide suffecient needs of its people but it is contrary on what is happening on Zimbabwe so maybe things would get better if they would allow bitcoin be regulated by them.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An investor lost $24 million worth of bitcoin on: November 14, 2019, 05:53:15 PM

A Crypto investor Michael Terpin lost roughly 1,5oo bitcoins on January 7, 2018, after falling victim to a SIM swap attack, The Wall Street Journal reported.
The bitcoin stake was worth $24 million that day, roughly three weeks after the asset hit its record high price.
The incredibly precise hack involves thieves taking control of a phone number and using it to access email accounts, bank reserves, and even crypto wallets.

One crypto investor lost bitcoin worth as much as $24 million after falling victim to a new kind of hack known as SIM swapping, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Michael Terpin was hit by the attack on January 7, 2018, days after bitcoin reached its record high price. Thieves stole roughly 1,500 bitcoins by taking control of his phone number and using Google's "Forgot password?" feature to gain access to his email. With possession of the two personal accounts, the thieves hacked Terpin's crypto wallet, stole the digital assets and quickly sold them, according to WSJ.
Bitcoin traded between $16,969 and $15,790 per coin on January 7, 2018. The digital coin now trades at roughly $8,700.

That's very unfortunate. We all work hard here investing on crypto making sure that we can secure a bountiful life in the future but by just one little mistake, we can end up loosing it all in a snap. Let us take this unfortunate event as a lesson learned for us to be more careful and more wise with our investment. Always avoid putting too large money on our wallet and always make sure that it is well secured to avoid getting attacked. As soon as you put up a large amount of bitcoin on your wallet, you are already putting yourself at great risk.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Informed is Your Country's Police About Crypto? on: November 14, 2019, 04:56:04 PM
In my country, I see many sites that are Bitcoin ponzi and scams. These thrive because the police put in little effort in tacking them. I like the awareness being created by the Indian police. What is the awareness level of law enforcement about crypto in your country? If All Police Officers are Trained in Crypto... https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/indian-police-train-officers-on-cryptocurrency/
Awareness of the government leads to the awareness of the police but I don't think they know how to take legal actions when a certain crypto is used in illegal transactions. Our police here is nothing compared to those Indian police. Since cryptocurrency is not yet well known in our country, no policy or anything against it or regulating has been made yet. It might look great if police knows how to deal with scammers and fraud here so that we can reduce the number of them and lessen the unfortunate events and victims that are just trying to trade and invest peacefully in here.

Who here uses Bitcoin daily or lives on the financial crypto market?

I personally use Bitcoin wherever I possibly can, and accept it directly without converting it to fiat immediately. I have been using Bitcoin daily for years. (Ever since Bitpay started improving its Bitcoin debitcard product)

In my case, I don't casually use bitcoin. I use it only when I'm investing. I get it that we can use it in plenty of ways daily but I am not into using its full potential and capability. I think also that it would be more risky if you will use bitcoin daily knowing that frauds and scams are everywhere nowadays. You can use bitcoin for convenience but always make sure you are using it in the right way and avoid involving yourself in illegal activities in collaboration with bitcoin so that you can really get the most from it even on a daily basis.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: November 13, 2019, 10:33:30 AM
I think bitcoin has been one of the biggest innovations of the human in the past years. Many altcoins have been created after bitcoin. But none of  them have been successful as bitcoin is. Why is that?
Why no altcoin can replace bticoin?
Every new thing and every technology is usually replaced by a newer one as the world is always developing.

The first television built was mechanical, then electronic television were invented, then colour televisions, digital, 3D, ....
The first automobiles invented were steam-powered wheeled vehicles, then electric automobiles appeared. Now we have autonomous cars. Now we have Tesla model S. Now we have Lamborghini.
All of us know about the developments made in mobile phones.

Every thing is being developed. Every device is finally replaced by a newer one. Why no altcoin has replaced bitcoin till now? Do you think it will happen in future?
I personally think people will trust what Satoshi has created more than altcoins till many years later.
Altcoins are created to make the developers rich. But bitcoin is different. Bitcoin was created in favor of us. So, no altcoin can be trusted as bitcoin.

What do you think?
Bitcoin was the pioneer of them all. It was the one that started the game and was able to keep up over the past decade of having new altcoins. It went from zero to hero specially on 2018 where its value reached $20k for a while but now that it is facing crisis, many are already starting to doubt it. Little do they know that bitcoin has been like this for so long, going down but then surprising eveyone after a while. I think that's the reason why no altcoin can replace bitcoin, because not every coin can survive after hitting rock bottom, bitcoin always does.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never possible earn free bitcoin without work. on: November 13, 2019, 10:07:35 AM

People have the worng ideas for earn free bitcoin without work, if you want earn free bitcoin then you need more skills with hard working. There are a number of ways in which you can earn free Bitcoin, but for that you need to be competent in those things and work hard:

1. Writing about Bitcoin: If you have skills about bitcoin with the cryptocurrency market industry General knowledge then you can share and also earn bitcoin.

2. Micro Earning : Micro earning websites pay you in Bitcoin for completing small tasks. In return you can get a (very) small amount of Bitcoin.

3. BitcoinTalk Signature Campaigns: This is the most and popular ways you can earn more bitcoin with your expensive skills. If you want participate signature campaign then you need good rank and high post quality. Because here campaign manager will be follow your post quality so knowledge must have the crypto world.
