41  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Bitcoin Halving. on: January 23, 2020, 02:38:24 PM
Hello bitcoin lovers, I think everyone know what is Bitcoin Halving, but many newbies may not know what Bitcoin halving really is. If you are involved with crypto currency then you need to know about Bitcoin halving. So I want to write it briefly here.

Bitcoin halving place at every 210,000 blocks. As a result, the Bitcoin mining block reward is split in half. Now the reward for each block is 12.5 Bitcoin and after halving it will be 6.25 Bitcoin. It takes four years to get to the 210,000 block. This process will continue until the remaining bitcoin is mined. As long as there is a divide of the Bitcoin mining reward, it will take double time to mine the rest of Bitcoin. One way will be bitcoin halving every four years. When Bitcoin was created, the block reward was 50 BTC per block.

First bitcoin halving: When the first bitcoin halving was happen in 2012, each block was rewarded with 25 BTC.

Second bitcoin halving: Then after bitcoin halving for the second time in 2016, each block was rewarded at 12.5 BTC.

Third bitcoin halving: Bitcoin halving is going to happen third time in 2020. This time each block will be rewarded at 6.25 BTC.

Next Bitcoin halving is not much longer. Countdown to the next bitcoin halving I have added. Which will give everyone an opportunity to know how much time is left for next bitcoin halving. I follow Binance's Bitcoin Halving timer.

Everyone should be aware of the upcoming Bitcoin Halving that is soon to unfold. It would make a great impact to bitcoin's price together with altcoins that's why you should start preparing yourself from this. Even though the value of bitcoin after the halving is not yet certainly determined, there's already a high probability that it will surely increase. It is very essential that we inform others about it even the newbies so that we can make sure that we will have an assured success after this big event.
42  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advantages of having an account on bitcointalk on: January 23, 2020, 02:00:36 PM
When I first enter crypto currency, I have no idea what is bitcointalk, even have zero knowledge on trading, and even others coins I dont know what it is,
When I first join in 2017 I have no where to go, same with others who don't know what to do in the first time, I started talking to others and they share information with since then I gain knowledge with crypto, and started to like it, also you can find other information in others sections, there is also a selling section, which I think is so helpful, my suggestions to the new comers is to talk to some members and try to look for detailed post and learn how to create also help others if you know the answer,
now im a full member, even though its still a lot of time before I reach sr. member ill be able to make it, with the help of others and from creating helpful post,
There are a lot of advantages of have a bitcointalk account. You can make yourself updated of what's currently happening in the market and at the same time, you can get some idea on which altcoin is the best for investment at the moment. You can also gain more knowledge about cryptocurrencies which you can use in the future as it takes its spot on the world monetary system so I would suggest that if you know someone who doesn't have a bct account yet, tell them already as a preparation for their future.
43  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Poll - How did you find out about Bitcointalk? on: January 23, 2020, 12:03:47 PM
Without going into the motives behind joining Bitcointalk, I was wondering how people’s first point of contact with the forum was made. Now we may need to jog the memory here a bit, although Beginners & Help tends to have newer profiles around, making the memory lane easier to walk.

If I recall correctly, I reached the forum at the time when searching for information on Bitcoin. I probably performed a Google search for "Bitcoin forum" and made it here through one of the results that popped-up.

What was the reference driver (source, not motive) that drove you to Bitcointalk?
It was a friend of mine who introduced me into bitcointalk. We were just having a conversation about this new trend which is bitcoin and then suddenly, he told me about bitcointalk. He explained to me the contents of it and taught me how to make an account and earn through joining campaigns on it. Afterwards, I was able to learn and I worked hard after joining campaigns which led me to great profits and amidst the crisis on the projects nowadays, I am still continuing to pursue it cause I know things will get better soon.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you prefer to hold for more than a year? on: January 22, 2020, 04:40:49 PM
I personally prefer to hold bitcoin and ethereum. They are good coin and more potential to hold for long term.
I prefer to hold both for a very long time. As we can see from what happened for the past few years of crypyo, Bitcoin has always been on the very top and right next to it was Ethereum. Regardless of the crisis both has experienced before, they were both able to keep their positions and stay on the very top amidst all the new altcoins being released. They are the pioneers and they made it so far which makes them deserving for the recognition and acknowledgement of being the best coins in the market for a very long period of time.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The future of bounty looks uncertain on: January 22, 2020, 07:13:30 AM
Hello Guys,

We all know ICO is totally dead, so, there will be no successful ICO bounties! STO bounties are more than shit, doing STO bounty just waste of time, trust me! And then come to IEO! IEO hype is gone, it passing a very tough time nowadays! All the shit exchange's bounty is also shit. Just count how many shit exchange's bounties you did and how much you earned! Good exchange's IEO doesn't have bounties most of the time. So, there left post ICO/IEO or self-funded project's bounties! Those are very few and their budget looks penny! Right now many bounties are running but according to my research, I could not pick 3 good bounties!

So, what do you think about the future of bounty? It looks uncertain to me!
Ever since ICOs started to fail and get dominated by scammers, the future of bounty started being uncertain. Amidst having IEO paying good profits to people, we cannot still deny the fact that the crisis bounty hunters faced with ICOs will make a great impact on affecting the bounties future in a detrimental way. Things are already getting out of hand nowadays for investors and bounty hunters but we should not still give up on it, better days are soon to come.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Creating shit TOKEN make good profit ? on: January 22, 2020, 05:56:07 AM
Hi guys
do u think if i created a shit token (with no project) and add it to shit exchange can i get profit ?  Grin
i mean im preparing to create a token and add it to new exchanges with law fees
and i promote investors for ex to give them 50 per cent of any ammount they bought
from the token for ex if you bought 10000 coins i will give u 5000 coins for free
do u think this idea can make investors buy it ?
Anyone can make great money through shitcoins but no one should consider it as a business. If you are planning to make some investors benefit from what they are bringing to you, you shouldn't consider calling it a shitcoin, cause shitcoin are for scams only. If you want to make money, make it in the fairest way wherein you can benefit more but still make sure the one bringing money to you will also gain benefits from what they are giving.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Bleeding on: January 22, 2020, 05:27:16 AM
Altcoin is not increasing for so many days. New money is not coming in market. So Always invest in good Top 30 Altcoins for being Safe.
It's been a really long time already actually and we are all getting more and more worried as time passes by that it stays on being low. That's why you should always consider investing on the best altcoins only and avoid trying new ones that promises too grandeur rewards cause you may end up getting scammed. The bitcoin halving is very near, let us hope that it would later on help altcoins regain its high value or altleast recover from crisis it is currently facing.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alternatives Like BTC Becomes Necessary As World Debt Reaches $253 Trillion on: January 20, 2020, 03:43:32 PM
Our debt-ridden world economy continues to stack up more IOUs. According to recent estimates, the global debt is now around $253 trillion or 322% of GDP — a record high that Bitcoin is wagging its finger at.

According to a new report, the world economy is based on more debt than ever before — in fact, total world debt now comes out to over 3x global GDP.

To read the full article, check it right here

If you look at the numbers, it's already record-breaking for world debt.

As Bitcoin continues to be recognized and massively adopted worldwide, I just don't know if it's indeed a genuine alternative because of the record-breaking world debt of $253 trillion.

What would you think about this guys? Do you honestly think Bitcoin is gonna be the best alternative choice in this situation?

I would like to hear more about your reactions or opinion on this one. Cheers!
Bitcoin indeed can be a great help but we cannot be certain that it is the best alternative if ever the world would drown on its high debt that's increasing as years passes by. Bitcoin is a revolutionary currency but its function is to give convenience and chance of being wealthy and saving the world economy would be a very hard task for bitcoin to do. Instead, we should pay attention more on how we can aid all the debt the world currently has and start regulating bitcoin to atleast make little by little difference in terms of economy.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bought this stuff with Bitcoin, great way for people to become aware of Bitcoin on: January 20, 2020, 10:59:11 AM
If you tell people that you bought stuff in the internet or even in a shop with Bitcoin, people will become aware of Bitcoin, more so if the stuff that you are showing them have value when you bought it with fiat money, what do you think about this?
That can be a strategic way on how you can make people aware of bitcoin's existence but still you should find more effective way on dessiminating knowledge about it. You should find a proof like a receipt or anything that proves that you bought it with bitcoin so that they would believe and start patronizing bitcoin afterwards. Make sure you tell them the some basics about it before making them start investing on bitcoin.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending Bitcoin over Bluetooth? on: January 20, 2020, 10:34:12 AM
I've seen that it's possible to interact with the Bitcoin blockchain using mesh network antennas, satellites and even radio waves. This is great, because it further decentralizes Bitcoin as we know it. But I'm wondering if it's possible to send/receive Bitcoin over Bluetooth? Considering that most devices of today are powered by Bluetooth, it's much easier for anyone to interact with Bitcoin this way than using satellites, and other means mentioned previously.

Do you think something like this is possible these days? If so, how can I do this with my mobile device? Any recommendations or suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance Smiley
Maybe it is already possible these days but still it is not recommended due to the safety that is not yet assured when using such kind of medium for transactions. I don't have any idea yet on how you can do it with mobile phones but I will surely start studying how to use it so that I can get convenience someday. We all know how important the internet is for transactions but if ever the system for bluetooth transactions will be fixed, it would be a great help for offline transactions.
51  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things needed for people getting started with crypto on: January 17, 2020, 04:55:26 PM
When we started crypto we are looking for things we need for crypto to get started
for me here are only things you need.

  • Small amount of bitcoin to get started
  • Crypto wallet
  • Guides this is in the form of forums like bitcointalk and also people who are expose to trading
  • Being resourcesful i think this is one of the most important, being resourceful will lead you to have money in crypto world
how can i say that, there are free airdrops around that one thing just like bitcoin when it first started
  • Focus is also important if you are focus in a goal there is a big chance to succed
  • Collaborate with people personally who firsthand have knowledge and experience
  • Try to trade if you lose that's good , and learn from it you dont have to trade big amount , you are just testing the waters so its alright
  • Be strong if you fall get up, and never give up
  • Positive view its also very important, if you loose hope from the start, then im sure you will not succeed.

This is in my opinion but some people have their own, so feel free to share yours
Well it usally depends on the person investing actually. You can either complete all these stuffs but you should pay importance the most on some few things like setting your emotion ready for any possibilities, being knowledgeable enough of the things you need to learn while investing and focusing on your goal on becoming a successful investor. These shouldn't be left out or else your investment will surely crumble and you may end up losing money instead of gaining some.
52  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Road to Full Member on: January 17, 2020, 03:52:35 PM
Does it even matter for others when they already have higher ranks? You might say that this isn't worth celebrating but for me, it is. As you can see, I'm near at achieving my goal to be a Full Member. And I can't wait to be one. I started here last October 2018 and it's been a year and I'm already at this rank. I got some of my merits from joining the 10th Anniversary Art Contest, while the rest are from my posts. I'm not that good when it comes to art but I really tried my best just to join the contest. I also submitted a lot of entries because I know I'm not that artistic compared to others who can get hundreds of merit form a single entry, so I worked harder to submit more entries as much as I can. And I really appreciated those people who also appreciated my art by giving me merits. I mean it.

I know it's never easy to get a higher rank. We have to work hard for it because merits are for those who deserves it. I'm trying my best to give quality post even more because I'm almost there. I don't aim those higher ranks as of now because it takes time and efforts. Being able to be a full member is already a big achievement for me. And I will be really happy when that day comes.

Aside from that, I also want to encourage newbies who also want to get higher ranks, that they can do it. You just have to work for it. Give quality posts 'cause there's a lot of people here in the forum who will appreciate your post. Set your goals to achieve a certain rank and thrive harder until you reach the goal you want. If they managed to get a higher rank, so do we!
It's not a bad thing to celebrate an achievement that you've worked very hard for a long time. We all know how hard it is to rank up after the merit system showing up, before, it was all about the activity alone which updates every month. I think it is necessary that we stay optimistic about our goal, cause no matter how long it will take, as long as you stay dedicated and has perseverance, you will definitely make it on the right time and all your hardwork will pay off.
53  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why its easy for a new comer to get scam on: January 17, 2020, 03:32:20 PM
Why mostly the victims of scam, are newbies?

When we saw a post of a person saying they got scam , what we always see is that they have no ideas what is crypto
they are always been the target of this people, if you have a friend that is new , give them an effort and educate them
specially if they don know anything, largely they has been the target of this culprits, taking advantage of their zero knowledge
and promising them of a big return, then suddenly this people disappear, here an article showing how to dodge a scam
https://www.thebalance.com/warning-signs-of-money-scams-315824 stay safe newbies, never trust anyone promising you
something that is too good to be true
Obviously, the main reason why most of the newbies are prone of getting scammed is because they lack knowledge about what they are doing. It is a dangerous thing actually, entering something without having enough idea about its system or benefits and even danger. You should make yourself more knowledgeable on what's in crypto and on how you can evade scams that you may possibly meet in the future during your investments.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run is coming! on: January 15, 2020, 03:26:59 PM
While browsing on Reddit, I see this pic:

It can be a sign that the bull run is very near but we cannot really be certain on when it is happening. Maybe it will occur after the halving but if we are going to let our emotion control us and do unnecessary things just because we are too confident that a bull run will take place, we might just end up getting unfortunate results. That is why it is very important that we have a back up plan for everything so that we can still make it work even when what we are expecting is not going to happen. It's not a bad thing to be optimistic but still we should consider setting our investment ready for anything that may happen.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altseason Has Almost Arrived For Altcoins. on: January 15, 2020, 02:57:06 PM
It’s a well known fact in the crypto market that altcoins typically have their bull market moment after bitcoin has finished its course. With BTC dominance breaking above 60% for the first time in 2 years, it certainly seems like the time is coming for altcoins to enjoy new highs.

It's about time for altcoins to shine!!

You may want to read this blog from kucoin about altseason https://kucoinblog.com/what-is-altseason-and-bitcoin-dominance-btctk
That's one of the main reason why we should improve our investments with altcoins. We cannot set it aside just because bitcoin halving is going to take place and its value will surely rise, there are still lots of potential altcoins in the market that needs recognition. We should start looking for new altcoins that has the potential of being successful in the future. Altseason will surely bring altcoins to new highs so you better set your altcoin investments ready for it.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: sell bitcoin to buy fiat or altcoin? on: January 15, 2020, 02:27:52 PM
We all always seek profits in cryptocurrency trading, if the price of bitcoin soars, will you sell it to buy fiat or altcoin? If you buy altcoin, what is the altcoin that you will buy?
I would prefer selling some of my altcoins right now than buying it with bitcoin. Bitcoin halving is very near and it is not really ideal to spent some of it since there is a potential bull run that may occur as halving happens. You should just use your fiat if you are going to but altcoins but make sure first that the value is low so that you can make profit from it as the value rises. Make sure that everything you do with your bitcoin right now is a preparation for the halving so that you won't regret anything as it comes.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: It is right to come back? on: January 15, 2020, 01:16:32 PM
We all know January always the though months for cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin has just started to rise. I don't know it is real or only an another trap for price fall.

What do you think? Are we ready for rise? And Is it really good time for rise?
So far, for the very first month of the year, bitcoin is currently doing great and hoping that it would continue as the halving approaches. The sudden rise for this month can either be a trap or a sign that bitcoin will soon recover its high value, no one knows yet. We can only be certain about what it is after the halving. Many are hoping for a bull run after the halving but before thinking about that from happening, we should first see through how we can improve our investments so that it would work well during the massive rise.
58  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto is not a get rich quick ponzi on: January 15, 2020, 11:27:31 AM
The reason I have come up with this topic now is for the fact that the value of bitcoin has been good from past one week or so and this is the time when most of the newbies end up buying at peak assuming they will get huge return on investment very quick just like they thought for 2017 bull run without understanding how crypto works and ended up being the losers or panic sellers. I urge everyone to take a moment and do research before investing.
Crypto won't make you rich as fast as you want it too not unless you invested way back when its price is still very low and you were able to hold it up until the bull run last 2017. From that you can be an instant billionaire for sure but if you are just a newbie and you are making actions based on your emotions which tells you that bitcoin will continue to rise up, you better think it through. The halving is near and a bull run is expected but still you should make sure that your investment is secured and you have a back up plan if ever things wouldn't go how you want it to.
59  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be a victim of second scam. on: January 14, 2020, 05:12:26 PM
Occasionally I have seen some people got scam multiple times. There is some fund recovery website and users who will promise you to get back your scammed fund. Had you heard about such as platform previously? If not then you may notice from this thread. It's just an example and there is more such as platform, they would give you fake promises.

Just remind you again, always keep in mind that "crypto-currency is irreversible" any organisations can't help you to get back your fund. If you were scammed from gambling or whatever sites, just share with community so everyone would able to avoid. But don't hire so called fund recovery services to get back your scammed amount. They will demand a percentage of scammed amount. If in case you paid then most likely you got second scam.

Suddenly its came in to my mind and wonder to share with community. Since most of newbies are not aware about such as scam that's why chosen this board. I believe everyone got my point. There is few accusation about such as scam (can't remember now). So guys please be aware from such as offer.
Scammers are very prevalent nowadays and we cannot deny that their skills and ways are improving. It can be considered as another strategy by the scammers to make those clueless investors bite into their trap without knowing that after being scammed, they will get scammed once again leading to bigger loss of money. As soon as you get to experience such things, make sure that if you will look forward on recovering your money, you will be much more careful and make sure that it is very safe before trusting anyone.
60  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ways of earning merit. on: January 14, 2020, 04:38:15 PM
Since the introduction of the merit system, a lot of time has passed. Tell me, what are the most effective ways to earn merit in 2020?
I don't really have much idea cause I was able to make it till my rank right now through posting a lot way back when merit sysyem is still not present. Throughout my experiences, the only way I was able to get merit was through giveaway threads which offers free merit and sometimes, I get some merits through posting real high quality posts that is very relative to the topic. I feel sorry for the newbies cause ranking up is not as easy as it was before.
