1081  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coindesk banned this post two times on: August 23, 2016, 10:18:07 AM
Many sites and companies have/had they hand in ETH honeypot, some was given other bought, then they started to defend their investment/honey pot
Today is the year of scam ICO projects for a easy way to earn more cash, sure they will block and delete eth bashing
1082  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Free Bitcoin Debit Card on: August 23, 2016, 10:09:27 AM
What was that debit card for?  Can we buy or shop items using that one even if we are required to pay fiat for every item purchase?  Or it is only used for some services that receives bitcoin as a payment. Because there is actually  no merchants here in my place that accepts bitcoin for now

It is classic Mastercard/Visa same as you get from your bank, you top it up with bitcoins and have $ or euros with the card
The card can be used in any ATM with mastercard logo as you would use the card from the bank, pay online or use it at shops that accept mastercard/visa

So the issuer of the Mastercard/Visa is regular bank, only difference is that the bitcoin can be used to deposit to the card over the provider site
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: August 23, 2016, 12:48:09 AM
As far I understand Iconomi token holders can have a vote on some decisions but all the hard work about investing in crypto currencies and other ICO projects will be done by core team, the investing platform will be offered to classic investors which have no real knowledge of crypto world and blockchain

Then the success or fall will be mainly due bad or good investments from a core team

1084  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: August 22, 2016, 11:23:52 PM
With the recent Bitfinex hack... I feel intrigued to ask: do you feel comfortable leaving funds sit in an account for a debit card other than a cryptocurrency exchange? Does that fact that traditional financial institutions and legal entities are involved make you feel any better?

For the record, I'm not aware of any bitcoin debit card services that have went away with (or lost) user funds but I might be wrong so feel free to correct me.

I really don`t know what to think at all Sad

I have few cards and still have not used them as I will not cash under 2000$ per BTC, but so far ALL debit cards providers are more or less anonymous small services which almost have nothing to lose

Its shame that bitpay and coinbase only provide cards for USA, we in europe are left to small providers with no long history in business
1085  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: August 22, 2016, 10:47:35 PM
In reality there are some issue that whole crypto world need to address for sure, bitcoin scaling, the place for altcoins, security issues

Also most ppl are not used at any new economic and monetary system at all, they hate banks but they trust blindlessly in them because they are used to it, as their fathers and grandfathers

On top of them you have traders, when they are in $$ they will do, lie, talk shit as match they can just to profit and short BTC
1086  Economy / Speculation / Re: Value of Bitcoin at end of 2016, beginning of 2017 ::: Predictions? on: August 22, 2016, 10:20:37 PM
After the end of summer I can not see price of bitcoin going down, for that to happen we need to have some major problem in crypto space, for winter I can easy see 800+ $ and at the first quarter of 2017 1000$+ should be easy, by that time I hope mtgox fiasco will be finished or near the end, and if none exchange make more mistakes as they always do! we should see new ATH!
1087  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does sending Bitcoins feel good? on: August 22, 2016, 10:14:35 PM
I would be a honest and tell you sanding litecoin is a lot more faster and cheaper, looking at blockchain for it to get confirmed may be a pain in the ass, also some ppl still use old wallets and if they sand with low fee its a hell mess!!
I had some project which needed to gather some bitcoin fast, and you can bet 10% ppl sand with very low fee, explaning tham they should update wallet, etc was confusing, even they are mining it from 2013 or so, but many fail to keep in touch with updates
1088  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Would you buy a hardware wallet? on: August 22, 2016, 10:10:41 PM
For me to buy hardware wallet it need to reach some level of security, easy of use and support for some of the top alt coins as litecoin, etc

Also I need to know the way it works so it can be safe near the safety I have with paper wallet, only then I would invest 100 eur or so to it
1089  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buy Bitcoins instantly using Credit Card! on: August 22, 2016, 08:27:23 PM
Looks absolutely insecure. Won't change cex.io to this one, especially when they lowered fees for card payments and upgraded pci dss sertificate to a higher level.
I personally need nothing more when it comes to buying btc using mastercard.

So true support at cex.io is gr8, their fees are lowered and are fine, bitcoin.com is just too expansive 3x fee on top of purchase

As of this scam site pls mark it as scam and be gone with scammer!

Drop power limit a lot more, see with GPU-z real VCCD voltage!

Duno about Gigabyte G1, but gainward to not go over 100w power limit had to be set at 50-55 and clock need to be low as 1500-1600 or even less, atm I am on 125-130w at 85 (0.92v for GPU core) power limit and 18xx Mhz click but as I sad Gainward is dropping voltage as mad with power limit!
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate RX 470 on: August 22, 2016, 05:39:58 PM
As far I know on Windows 10 you can enable testing mode easy, the problem is AMD windows driver is checking GPU bios signature and if it is not valid id refuse to load, you need atikmdag.sys which is patched to accept modified GPU bios-es
http://www.win-raid.com/t892f16-AMD-and-Nvidia-GOP-update-No-requests-DIY-19.html#msg30028

After you use the patched atikmdag.sys, do you still need to disable the Windonws signature verification?

I am sure you need to use test mode (disabled windows signature verification) while you use patched driver and modded not signed bios... and I don`t see problem in using test mode in windows at all

I also want to confirm that high SSD usage was fixed with adding more RAM to the mining virtual sistem, also looks like after fixing POW mining exploits the estimated time to produce a block is way more adequate
I am not a poster, and don`t like to write crap in my bad english, when i do have some unique tutorial i will for sure post, and in the mean time I will mine only
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: August 22, 2016, 03:50:32 PM
I am a bit confused what was the point of POW mining, I know ppl investing made concerns that miners will dump their investment which is totally wrong, miners do dump but some miners also buy and many would hold, which in long run is only positive

The mining reward was utter low and whats even worse mining lasted for few days
I don`t trust POS at all at this moment, and I think its bad practice for greedy investors to be afraid of POW by their low knowledge and goal for fast profit only
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will this change the world of mining?? GTX 1080 / 1070 on: August 21, 2016, 11:42:28 PM
For each brand power limiting react differently, so its a bit hard to use same settings, for instance Gainward phenix 1070 with power limit at 85% droping voltage to 0.92v (GPU-z readings) which might be unstable for clock over 1900mhz, even more power limit of 75% will drop it as low as 0.84v
I did some tests with lybr and 85% and 1900mhz is stable, but other light algo might push clock more and restart the PC
For instance MSI 1070 does not drop voltage at all that low with power limit

You are really stealing! Just a moment I had more than 80 coins, now I have 69. WTF

This is a reason why more than 80% people leave your pool when LBC started...

Maybe 11 coins got confirmed and / or paid ?

Just check your transactions.

Oh and if you mean / think other pools pay more, just switch over, no problem, many folks are coming back and saying after all they get the same on the pools. Of course that "FUD" doesn't help, many people read anything on bitcointalk and believe it because someone posted something without knowing what he's actually saying.

Man no confirmation, confirmation zero! Total from dash board unconfirmed is 69, but from Transaction you can see below it is more than 90, so where is the problem?
