801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: December 07, 2016, 09:50:28 PM
Yeah it looks like EWBF is GPU limited, that just mean some/lot optimization can be done on blace GPU code to make it faster, if 1080 is fater then 1070 with memory that have slow latency
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: December 07, 2016, 09:29:10 PM
Any comments on cpu usage?  Most of my rigs run celeron, will this underperform?  I won't be able to test until later tonight.

there is almost none CPU usage 5x 0170 on G1840
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: December 07, 2016, 07:08:21 PM
EWBF behave totaly different
ewbf use a lot GPU power, depending on card near 90% tdp, Memory controller load is ~60%, memory use ~1.5Gb
nicehash use same 10-15% less power, memory load in 2x exe go up to 71%, memory use ~250mb per instance

I presume both have one or other parts done better, so in time i bet we can have more then 300sol (maybe even 400 with OC as 1070 is a lot bettern then AMD in blace algo calculations) on default 1070 or even more, at least more then AMD HW have atm
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: December 07, 2016, 06:32:03 PM
ocminer is there some problem, pool reporting 95% invalid shares with ewbf just now?

miner say all ok, 5min ago had 2% bad shares

No problems here, running fine on 1060 and 970 here on zec.suprnova.cc

yeah one miner (I have 10+ miners) had win10 right click pause and that was the cause, even you pool credited me fine, just you dashboard was 98% red

pls stop this AMD nonsanse no one care for some new magic driver for games, if it works for compute which is totaly different thing, there is proper topic, not here!!!!!!
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is this a good onboard CPU/mobo for mining? ASRock N3050M on: December 05, 2016, 05:23:28 AM
Don`t go for ANY integrated solution, those chipset are not designed for multi GPU usage, even three cards can be a problem, get some cheap proven mainboards with AM3 or H81, or get some AM2+/H61 used mainboard with 3+ PCI-e slots

@elgi76

Have you set kernel as equihash

there is nothing to write about, just use same readme as x year old sgminer

sgminer.exe -k ethash -I 19 -o stratum+tcp://eu1.ethermine.org:4444 -u worker -p pass --gpu-platform 0

change -k to: equihash or what ever algo you wana mine
test intensity with -I 10-24
find your AMD/NV GPU platform being 0,1 or even 2 on sistem with integrated graphics, etc

palit sjs tx 1070 2100/2350@80%tdp
2 exe's
129-130 sols each. Total 260sols
Confirmed in general by nicehash statistics

what is your GPU voltage reported for 2100Mhz clock @80 TDP in GPU-z?

boost 3.0 is killing me, can not set constant voltage/freq for 5 card rig (need to do it card by card) and power limit + OC know to go beyond desired frequency, need better tool then afterburner to set fixed frequency and voltage for all cards at once

Nothing wrong with pool side, it report the same as my miners do with 2x exe (not two instances -cd 0 0 1 1 (this does not gain speed as 2x exe) , no but two miners runing at same time with same settings)

Nicehash just released a miner that's supposed to do over 250 on a 1070. Can anyone hack it to run on other pools?

nicehash miner do not use stratum, but their own pool protocol so hacking is no easy go, it would be more easy to hack claymore Wink
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash EQM Zcash NVIDIA optimized miner [Maxwell/Pascal] + CPU mining v1.0.2b on: December 02, 2016, 12:10:41 AM
5x 1070  1930/2375  win10 x64 372.70
2x exe   620x2 = 1240sol/s  (GPU usage 100%)

1x exe 1196sol/s  (GPU usage ~96%)

Also memory controler load goes from 69-70% to constant 73% on all 1070, memory GPU usage is also up to 537mb per card

eqm 1.0.2C  1070 OC 260sol/s  with some undervolt ~120w... suck you AMD!  Grin
This miner applies only to Nicehash pool. Also, 30% of hash going Nicehash . 260 - 30% = 182 sol/s  Grin . Also, payments are only possible in the BTC (not in the ZEC).

Why do you write LIES?

All hash going to pool, you are paid in BTC by fix rate, also if you mine direct to zcash pool you do not get 100% as whattomine calculator say, you get maybe ~90% maybe 95% but no more for sure!

at nicehash per 1000sol/s you get 100% as whattomine calculate, same you can see at whattomine page!
would you get more mining zcash directly, maybe but not 30%, more like 2-5% max

how mutch do they eran i have no idea at all, maybe 5%, maybe more, they sell hash power or they sell zcash its their bussnis not mine

@reflexmk
sad AMD troll as one up

Sp_ this is explained in detail ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=826901.msg16974045#msg16974045 ) .People write to Nicehash  has no pool, it's already only an intermediary between the miners and the other pools.I read that miners diverted to Flypool.

sp_ has been drunk that night, as it happen with him  Cool
you have what to mine, payrate for nicehash is 100% so you can compare to calculated luck, and you know you will almost never get 100%
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v8.0 on: December 01, 2016, 11:30:59 PM
for the record, nicehash fee is 3% (if you buy hashrate, you pay 3% too, so they make 6 % in the end).  Its not that bad, but you would probably make more on a good pplns pools with 1% fee on the long run.  Its not a bad option, but its not the highest paying in the long run due to fees.  To truly make a comparison, you would have to input the tx fee to the exchange (if there is one), the exchange cost to sell the zec, the tx fee to withdraw from the exchange.  (assuming everyone wants btc in the end).  Maybe someone should put 1 gpu on nicehash, and 1 gpu on another pool for one week to settle the story Smiley

That is true, for ethereum i never managed to get more then 95% "luck" from pools, with zcash is even worst I miner on few, the "luck" was from 80-90%, maybe now some pool give you over 90 %, and when you calculate all, like you say we lose some extra
I might say I get a bit more from flypool, but luck was up and down I am not sure, because test was not done in same time, and even if it is, luck from different pool one day can be totaly oposite

P0 -> P2 -> P3

So you need at least P2... P3 is slower

Also I see EQM miner still use just 286MB of GPU ram, I presume dev still did not manage to get multi threads work at same time?

The whole point of it is to use as little RAM as possible, so that the L2 and L1 cache is hit as much as possible. If using large amount of RAM, cache is useless.
there is logic to that, L2 is just 2MB

but still you know running 2x exe on same rig give you small speed boost and more GPU usage Smiley
