61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Past three months bitcoin journey on: August 12, 2021, 07:01:38 AM
This is encouraging and from the look of things this looks more like a hodlers journey to 1 BTC as you are buying almost every week which doesn't regard price of bitcoin that week, if am correct continue on  this journey. I regret not embarking on the same journey when price was much cheaper than it is today by now I should be having a good amount of btc.

62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do I still have a chance to get profit? on: August 11, 2021, 08:54:42 PM
Are you still wishing your token is pumped after holding for the past 3 years? You know what if this pump didn't happen or coin didn't  get listed on a better exchange in this time of waiting I don't think anything better is coming. Honestly count yourself lucky that you are still able to exchange your coins, other projects exit without even giving you an opportunity to exchange them and people have lost loads of money in such a fashion.
63  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lost 17500$ during recent downswing, Now completely broke. on: August 11, 2021, 06:31:30 PM
Though I lost so many times earlier but this one is bit tough. I was bearish on bitcoin when it was around 30000$ but it went up and up and touches 40000$. I lost around 1000$ and I was ok
Bitcoin is very volatile and I feel the emotion and pain of losing money that you are feeling after investing a lot of time into it, we just have to keep trying till we get it right.

but I do not know what happens to me suddenly in the heat of the moment I decided to go all in with 100x leverage, with no technical analysis nothing, as I was sure about bitcoin reaching 50000$.
And that is it all my bankroll which I build from 350$ vanished my hard work of 6 month gone.
Now I am broke.
The moment you lost your composer and started trading with your emotions ,that's the moment you lost not when your account was gone. Don't revenge trade after losing this is very dangerous.

But I know I will build my bank roll again over the course of few months but oh man this is tough.
I hate this feeling. Guys no matter what don't be impulsive in trading.
One step at a time, you have done it once you can do it again.
64  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Emotions should never be traded. on: August 11, 2021, 04:46:43 PM
Let's face it, there is a thin line to separate gambling from trading and it is from this which makes us scared and emotional when trading,  we think of what happens when I lose my trade, will this how its going to be all the time? Confidence in trading comes from winning and if you not seeing those wins what follows is emotional trading.
Since we know the best remedy to overcome our emotions let's try to find more winners to build confidence in trading.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why be allowed to create tokens with the same names? on: August 11, 2021, 03:46:07 PM
The reason is simple, this ecosystem is unregulated which means  anybody is free to do what ever they like which should not be happening, by the way i think this whole idea of open source is also one of the reasons why we having these problems of copy cats. It would be a good time to welcome regulation to cryptocurrency to have order here, if not cheaper scam coins will keep gaining while the real projects don't see the investment to help them grow.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How can I reach the more people to token I designed? on: August 11, 2021, 02:47:25 PM
Before thinking of going out make sure the project is so good that you don't need to pay any one to market it, it will do the marketing itself. But some of the proven ways to have a wider reach anybbe any of the following;
  • Signature campaigns which target crypto users
  • Twitter/Facebook tends to be a good choice as there is a bigger pool of people out there
  • if you can use google ads
  • to make all this easier higher a bounty manager to manage the marketing of your token
Best option these days,go for an IEO it's a better option.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing coin in a big exchange ask for a refundable security deposit? on: August 11, 2021, 02:15:19 PM
Listing on most centralized exchanges is some sort of a service to you, so there is no way this can be a refundable unless otherwise.
Op if you dealing with a big exchange try to get in touch with customer service via email or live chat if available and they will advise from there, hope you not contacting these guys through telegram or something as these are infested with impersonators and you don't want to be scammed.
68  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why newbies lose huge money in trading on: August 10, 2021, 11:15:55 PM
Newbies lose huse many in trading. because the maney cannot plan of the trade but they make
some mistake that make them lose.
Failing is part of the process of being a successful trader, fyi its not about being new to it or being a pro trader! Fact is no trader got into it and immediately started making profits, we all have to make some losses along the way, moreover very few traders count themselves profitable afaik.

We always cannot make a lot of mistakes so we are very important is learn for trade .so it's really time to lose some money .cause investment works like that but consistently losing is not healthy  means you do not learn at all or grasp a think about trading.
Correct and I will maintain what I know consistency is not easy when it comes to trading but managing your loses is what makes the difference.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the pandemic is still going on.. on: August 10, 2021, 09:43:56 PM
Pandemic is still going on you got that right and as much as I would want to try to be part of some of the airdrops going on , I think we also need to be on the lookout for projects that are after our personal user data which we need to guard as it could be damaging in the future. But overall  away from airdrops I think just being an ordinary hodler should be rewarding around these times as price has being rebounding and growing stronger with each day, once we out of the pandemic those bags should be filled with some coins.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where Are You Next 5 Years? on: August 09, 2021, 07:25:18 PM
Hey.

You Think What Is Your Placement In The Crypto Currency In The Next 5 Years?
Alot has changed over the years, today alot of people now know more of bitcoin than they did 10 years ago. What I expect to see In the next 5 years is more services being available for crypto payments , the likes of amazon,Walmart, eBay, aliexpress all major retail stores accepting crypto as it's the future of money.

How Many Money You Earned That Time?
Will keep taking out my profits whenever I can and reinvest after a crash.

And What Do You Want To Do With Your Earning? Cool
Buy a Lamborghini of course, it should be tradition to get one once to acquire enough of these.
71  Economy / Economics / Re: If you can get paid through cryptocurrency, do you still choose fiat currency? on: August 06, 2021, 07:22:18 PM
If I was given this option am going to go for bitcoin.  The opportunity cost that bitcoin has is quite high and if I was being paid 0.05 btc and upon receiving my payment price goes up that's  bonus pay without working for it but this is not one sided which is the only disadvantage, price could go down which means that weekly or monthly pay am suppose to have got will be lesser than usual.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we get another golden oppurtunity to buy? on: August 06, 2021, 03:34:26 PM
Markets will always give people an opportunity to buy lower than usual  and from what i have noticed, price usually goes 50% lower than it highest price reached and once it gets to the 50 percent this is a discount price you need to enter the market with your buy orders from because  the next time this happens will be a much higher price.

73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: August 06, 2021, 01:13:28 PM
If devs were not around and active like they are... Ethereum wouldn't have been this popular but since they are around and addressing all problems that arise like the high fees we experienced a few months ago that made Ethereum less popular and pushed its users to other blockchains. With its past problems I dont think they want that to happen ever again and they will do whatever they can to keep eth alive.

Fyi already Ethereum is undergoing the London hard fork which is suppose to keep fees low and in a consistent stream which just shows how far its expected to go, eth is here to stay.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Head and Shoulder on: August 06, 2021, 12:22:17 PM
Not sure at what time frame you looking at, all I see is price making lower highs and higher highs showing that Ethereums market is bullish,  and moreover Ethereum just got its "London hard fork" which is another bullish reason as eth fees will no longer be violently changing anyhow. And OP your analysis looks  correct but these markets always will do the unexpected and am bullish about it.
75  Economy / Economics / Re: Government policies help to grow the price of bitcoin on: August 06, 2021, 10:08:17 AM
Both good and bad reforms will help bitcoin price to grow regardless of what they do. In a scenario were the government chooses to ban it, this just promotes people to be innovative enough to create a network where they will sell for much higher prices than its market price making the price of btc in that country high.

For countries that have made crypto welcome because of good government policies it's not a matter of inflated or exgaratted pricing, but demand that will influence price to go up.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best altcoins to hold during a bear market? on: August 05, 2021, 10:48:36 PM
When it comes to bear markets,  it's good practice to find coins from the top 50 that have been hit the hardest because these always make a comeback **70% of them. I wouldn't want to find myself investing in newer coins during a crash or bear market because it would be difficult to distinguish a shitcoin or an exit scam from a bear market which could make you to lose money. During this period still to reputable projects.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you bullish or bearish this year? on: August 05, 2021, 10:29:10 PM
I will have to go with bullish on this one because price at one time looked like once it goes below $25000 it was going to be difficult to comeback as it was likely to influence people to panic sell and continue the down trend but as always price closed above the areas of interest which would have changed the outlook of the market and now we are looking bullish and also looks like we have got over the bitcoin mining nightmares. Nothing is standing in our way this ship is ready for take off.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: August 05, 2021, 09:47:13 PM
Either way China has always had a strong position on the Olympics and it proves a great competitor for the US. Let's see how it plays out but I have the feeling China will outperfrom this time

Looking at today's standings, China has a total of 34 gold, superior to the United States only 29 gold. The difference of 5 gold is quite far I think. Although I don't have detailed information about the rest of the Olympic games between China and the United States. But it looks like China will continue to excel and be the overall champion in this year's.
With the few sports disciplines remaining I can bet you that the United States will reduce this gap to 2 or 1 becausethey are strong contenders in what's left. And while we compare China to USA we have to remember that this Olympic was different from the usual we fond of watching, this one we didn't have fans, some athletes did make it because of the pandemic, some athletes were not in their best of shapes because things have just been out of place for most as a result of lockdowns and the pandemic itself.
While we at it with the Olympics we also have to give some recognition to the hosts who have ended the competition with some gold medals and overall are among the top 3.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium mining, staking or not and auto selling at the same time, regulated? on: August 05, 2021, 05:37:17 PM
is there any reason why you use exodus when you explicitly sated that you have an offline ledger? is it for making online transactions/small transactions?

if that's the case, i also suggest you to change your wallet. use a live os with metamask or other noncustodial wallet or buy another ledger for your hot wallet.

Well i guess that was part of my question.  If i used the offline ledger, how can i setup automatic monthly withdrawals to my bank account (havent got this far yet).
Hope you don't mind me asking, are you saying with the Exodus wallet you are able to convert crypto to fiat using the wallet or its an initiative from the bank you are using to make the conversion of crypto to fiat?

though i'd think either way there will be transfer gas/fees involved?
Yep can't move your crypto without paying those miner fees but technically there is a way to send your coins without paying mining fees but it's quite a process. But to uncomplicate the process its best to go ahead to pay the miners its not much really.

80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are some interesting ways you've introduced bitcoin to your friends? on: August 05, 2021, 04:56:20 PM
I have introduced people to bitcoin through having argument of how one can make money online. With so many people trying to pull all sorts of scams on the internet my pals didn't believe there was a genuine way to make money online hence I introduced them to bitcoin through faucets which existed a few years ago, And we did make a few coins off it ,not sure if we still have them today.

Then I have other friends who complained of delayed receipts of funds to reflect on their bank accounts but had an option to withdraw through bitcoin, I recommended this to be their solution and they have not gone back after knowing about crypto, its bitcoin all the way.
