701  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to keep your funds secured? on: May 05, 2019, 10:41:40 AM
Im quite new to crypto so i wanted to know what exchanges do you use and i'd be grateful for advises on security.
Hope you still finding crypto worth your time. An Exchange which I could recommend to use is binance but unfortunately not all coins are listed here so you will be forced to use decentralized exchanges and others.

I currently keep my crypto on localbitcoins but it recently got hacked to im concerned for my money. I want to move it somewhere safe but still be able to make trades without much fuss.
First localbitcoins is not meant to be used as a wallet service and for the safety of your coins, use a wallet which gives you access to your private keys, something like a vanity wallet would be good or coinomi wallet is equally good

Im still learning to trade but im pretty serious about it. Can you recommend me a good exchange that hasn't been hacked yet?
At the moment BINANCE is at the top, go for them Smiley

Why would anybody use cash back when transactions fees have to be paid .....are you suggesting bitcoin services should be free Huh

Honestly this sounds a phishing attempt!
703  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Good wallet to store Bitcoin Cash ? on: May 04, 2019, 03:21:39 PM
I'm using Coinomi currently to store all my Bitcoin cash but i want to split them and send the other half to another wallet.
Any wallet with a high security level can be used to store Bitcoin Cash ?
Blockchain.com wallet isn't a bad choice, just remember to activate 2 factor authentication once logged in and do not reuse passwords you have used before and check that you are also using the legit site.
704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much capital I need to be the House on: May 04, 2019, 11:02:13 AM
On a betting game, we all know that the house always win everu round. With this i think what if i try to be the house. Not thinking about the paperworks, locations and legality. I think its a very good business and you dont need much effort to do, just cards or dices is enough. People come voluntarily on gambling site anyways. But how can i start? What do i need to do? How much capital do i need?.
Simple answer, You have to have more money than what the players are wagering..that's the reason why the house usually has a limit to how much you can wager based on what they can afford to pay out.

You don't want to have a high roller who will match your capital and leave you with nothing after having a good winning run
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is etherium good for long term on: May 04, 2019, 07:51:27 AM
Can i trust on etherium project
I want to hold it for long term 5-10 years
It's no longer profitable to invest for the long term as those days are gone.

Can i use hardware wallet (ledger or trezor)?
It seems these wallets are the most recommended wallets these days and I haven't heard of instances of people losing coins stored on these bad boys as opposed to using private keys which could be stolen by clipboard viruses.

We are slowly getting there!!

Hope it's not an issue of two steps forward and later on move three steps backwards.

Top 10 Reasons Why Bitcoin Is Falling Down

https://u.today/top-10-reasons-why-bitcoin-is-falling-down

-The frontloaded success of cryptocurrency mining
-Regulatory roadblocks
-FOMO turned into FUD
-Rampant market manipulations
-No institutional money
-The ‘Blockchain over Bitcoin’ narrative
-News about the recent stock market crash
-US investors avoiding paying capital gain taxes
-Mainstream media coverage
-Will the BTC price recover?
All this leads to stake holder/investor confidence dropping as a result of the above, and as far as I know all these reasons have their time or should I say season.

One of the major reasons for bitcoin falling is Etf news and Regulatory updates both these news are efforting btc prices

News that makes some people believe even though that hasn't happened yet. There is a lot of bad news that you can see right now and you should not believe it too much.
I have seen this happen several times....seems bad news are fake news are an easier way to grow an audience.

Dude. He did quote it (using " ") Not providing the source (wikipedia) is different from trying to get the credit for it.

This is NOT plagiarism.
was trying to report a user for plagiarism but seeing the above post has left me at a cross road. So does this mean one is safe if he/she uses (" ") quotation marks without providing the source? TBH these are the same posts getting merit yet are not adhering to the rules of the forum.

"Three small lapel badges of the Royal Arch Purple Degree, that depict a 2˝ number within an arch as its emblem. The number 2˝ represents the biblical tribes of Reuben, Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh who helped lead the people of Israel across the river Jordan to the Promised Land.

The Royal Arch Purple Degree were founded 1795 at Loughall in County Armagh and continued as part of the Orange Order. They are a Protestant fraternal organisation predominantly based in Northern Ireland but also with many Lodges in Scotland. Some Lodges were also founded in the US and amongst the Commonwealth countries.

The badge's elements are the Royal Arch with the number 2˝, an eye, snake and a star."

710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Eating your Brain and Money on: May 03, 2019, 10:04:43 AM
Gambling losing streak,

I’m into gambling for about months now, and in my first game I was able to generate profit enough to be happy, I continued for the rest of my 4 weeks of playing, sometimes its breakeven but I know its ok.
Its funny how everyone starts off with a win and ends up trying to recover from a losing streak, sometimes gambling sucks!

My friend invited me to play with him in casino this time, I have enough money to play for so I decided to say yes. Bad luck comes to me this time, at first my loss was about $500, so I know it is still fine and decided to continue, but the moment we stopped I think its too late now since I’ve already loss $3000, a very bad day for me. I’ve lost the money I’ve worked hard for.

Sounds like you also funded your friends play which resulted in double the loss or cost.

This is an eye opener situation for me, and I’ve realized that gambling was slowly eating my brain and my money. Now I’m broke but still kickin, this can be the proof that chasing your losses is not good at all and it should be avoided.
This doesn't just leave you broke, it destroys your life if you keeping chasing your losses and certainly affects your psychological well being.

Have the same experience with me? Don’t hesitate to share and give some thoughts for those who are suffering from sitution like this.  Sad
I haven't had this experience because I avoid casinos where luck isn't on your side..and I know that no matter how good you are the house wins!

-snip-
https://cryptoslate.com/upcoming-block-reward-halving-could-give-litecoin-a-boost

i'm sure this halving even could make litecoin price rising hard, and maybe this could be another sign from the bull
and now is the best time to collect more litecoin  Wink

In spite of this litecoin halving process having to reduce the rewards which theoretically means reduced supply, this can not have an immediate effect on price as demand isn't constantly there.

But we all expect a slight surge in prices.

716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2018-2019 on: April 30, 2019, 03:06:28 PM
Hard to predict Tottenham vs Ajax today. What do you think? I think it's 50-50 match.

I went 0.03 BTC on Tottenham win today, 2.47 odds @ BetOnBit

Thoughts?
I usually opt for English teams to win when playing against such opponents but I think spurs has too much on their plate.....1st they have to fight to keep themselves in the EPL top four, then their is the champions league which is the real deal, but winning against an Ajax team that has so much to offer and impressed us when booting out Juventus....they could show the same spirit and win away from home.

717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / IS THE LIGHTNING NETWORK UP AND RUNNING on: April 29, 2019, 11:24:00 AM
The lightning network has been something that has been considered to be the solution to some of the problems bitcoin has faced in the past , and is said to be the possible lasting solution for BTCs future use.

But my question is the lightning network up and running?

I have seen some services already using LN and I am fortunate to kind of use it  Roll Eyes...and honestly am not convinced that this is it, Why???
  • First, LN products like their wallets aren't user friendly IMO,example mobile wallets aren't easy to use like what we used too, i think you need some technical knowledge to use

  • Secondly, I feel we are just being charged more for the so called LN transaction which ordinary bitcoin transactions could do when a high TX fee is paid.

Is LN really UP AND RUNNING Huh

Elsewhere in the document, Nike sets out how it wants to reserve the Cryptokicks name for providing “online blogs in the field of crypto collectibles” and offering online computer games such as scavenger hunts, treasure hunts and obstacle courses.
If nike didnt reserve this name now, why should this trade mark name be reserved for their future use Huh

Someone else beat them to it and the best they can do now is let it slide or try buy it off the current owners Roll Eyes
719  Economy / Reputation / Re: ★ Alarming information about the crypto exchange "crex24" ★ on: April 28, 2019, 02:28:28 PM
If ponzi/scam projects can be listed on their exchange without being whitelisted, then people NEED to avoid such an exchange at all cost

because this proves they are only interested in the financial gain and will not look out for their customers.

WHAT A SHAM!!!
720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 28, 2019, 01:54:48 PM
^  LOOOL!  I guess those clubs chasing that fourth spot are getting jinxed.  Spurs, Gunners...  Red Devils...?  Grin
Spurs are the fallout kids here, these guys were in the safe zone with a few games to go, and then from nowhere started dropping points like someone hit the self destruct button..i think Arsenal stands a better chance to make the cut...the Red Devils seem to be jinxed after Ole inked the managerial role Undecided

Anyway, again...  I fear for City.  Burnley is actually more of a threat vs City than United.  IMHO.
With Liverpool on their backs, City will win all remaining games comfortably !!
