I was thinking about this, what if the US Dollar crashes like speculated by many renowned economists around the world?
What will be it's affects on the beloved currency, BTC?
The dollar is an international currency, and if the dollar collapses, then the world will fall on him. I'm sure that will not allow this. For the sake of salvation, the world's banks and governments will donate anything. Even people.

Dollar is only a currency, it is not wealth in and of itself (unlike gold). If it should disappear without trace one day, the world won't stop moving. The void may cause some unexpected setbacks in the international trade, but very soon some other currency will take its place, for example, Euro or the Chinese Yuan (and no, Bitcoin doesn't cut it yet). In fact, a few big countries have already given up using the US dollar as the currency for settling accounts between them. Russia and China, for example, trade between themselves using the Chinese Yuan, if I'm not mistaken...

In short, the throne is never empty
So better to make coins in ancient times, gold and silver, and then it will not only exchange items, but also wealth.

It is better to keep your wealth and buy even more with fiat, which is almost totally worthless itself. The primary difference between rich people and poor people seems to consist in their understanding (or misunderstanding, for that matter) what real wealth is. Rich people tend to exchange less valuable things for more valuable ones and gain more wealth over time, while poor people are more inclined to act in the opposite way, i.e. to exchange more value for less value and thus accumulate more losses than wealth in the end...

For example, compulsive smokers and drinkers are essentially exchanging their health for weed and alcohol
Poor people do not because they are not smart, just because some do not have opportunities. Of course if the specified purpose and plan to capitalize on cryptocurrency, even bitcoin might help in the future if it invested the money that will increase several times, when the price rises to bitcoin. But it does not hurt the dollar, and the dollar still holds its strong position.

People should accept the reality that trump would be the next president, I do not think dollar will crash that is not what trump had promise in the campaign, according to him he will make america great again.

So I am expecting dollar to be more stronger.
That's also what I think. Dollar will not crash because it is strong besides, america is a big and powerful country. In addition Dollar is one of the most popular currency in the world so I doubt it would crash. Trump asked the support of the people who don't vote for him.
Indeed. Dollar will not crash even if they have a new president. If dollar will crash definitely most of us will be affected especially here in bitcoin community. I also think that dollar will still remain stronger.

Yeah dollar will not crash even if the face big economic fall, because they have a planned backing for future. Another important thing is that if dollar gets crashed our bitcoin too gets crashed because till now we were not independent.
yes it is a fact that USD will not fell down so easily, as we can see that USA is engage in war against terrorism, but USD is on top, therefore it is right to say that bitcoin cannot fell down so easily.

If you are so smart, why are you so poor?

Or, as someone else has put it, on a scale of one to ten, you probably think you're a seven, and you wouldn't be alone. People are not smart on average since the very idea of smartness assumes being above average in some specific quality of mental abilities (namely, mental alertness and intelligence). This doesn't in the least mean that they are bad or stupid or otherwise defective. People are just average en masse, and you have to live with that

To be born poor that's acceptable but to die poor is not. If you are smart you can see a lot of opportunities and you can live outside of your comfort zone. Maybe I believe I am smart because I think out of the box...

Currently there is no currency that can fight agaisnt bitcoin, there isnt a fiat with such power as bitcoin soo others will affect only if you do wanna to invest into something into another currencie. Dollars is reacting well to the Trump, something people were a bit ceptic to know what would happen if he wins, i do believe dollar will get more powerful over the next years.

US dollar is real money and bitcoin is just alternative currency we can replace us dollar and it can not crash the usd because of bitcoin..
Bitcoin is a good alternative only that we can use for now but few merchants and sites are accepting and expecting more in the future that more adoption and more stores will accept bitcoin..

When currencies crash, the state often tries to float a new currency. Sometimes, it’s accepted, sometimes not. If Dollars Crash, i was thinking if it is possible to replace by bitcoins? well i think it might happen if and only if many merchants or all merchants will accept bitcoins as payment since it was unlike dollars that can be hold, bring everywhere even without internet connections.

Currencies don't crash all by themselves. In fact, massive currency devaluations and their ultimate collapse are more often than not an outcome of a gradual or abrupt state breakdown. The same thing happened to Roman Empire, Weimar Republic, and USSR. In this way, the US dollar crash may be a logical outcome of the States' disintegration and subsequent decay, and that might have really devastating consequences for the whole world...

My point is that Bitcoin, due to its fragile nature and dependence on high technology, may not survive an event of such scale and significance

In dollar very often not stable exchange rate, but falls quite thorough, I have not seen. This is an international currency and I do not believe that someone would allow the US dollar to fall.

To date, I still prefer dollars more than other currencies. The fact that the dollar is well established you in all the world's crises. And most importantly, he provided the gold reserve.

It has been months, but this crash has not yet happened... If this happens, people will look for other alternatives, and Bitcoin is certainly the right way.
Even so Bitcoin is having good results in the market, it probably means that Bitcoin does not depend on a dollar crash to succeed, and I think the btc upward trend, for this year, is not over yet.

More for a month, and for the currency market is long enough, so really you can expect positive growth. But the dollar is stable to stand still. This is the currency that has the leverage.

I think that depends on one's perspective.  If the dollar crashed and one were holding bitcoin as a store of value, then a USD crash would be devastating.  However, if the dollar crashed and one were fluent in the dynamics associated with utilizing bitcoin as a means of exchanging goods and services, then a USD crash would probably be very beneficial.

And upon Trump's won, the dollars market now is been increasing which is probably good to all of us who are in bitcoin economy.

Because its value has been dependent with dollars value, this is because of the investors from different countries went back to US as Trump promised.

That he will empower the economy and give priority to his constituents. So this crash is unlikely going to happen with Trump's administration.

Though I am not from the US but I love the result of the election. It's good trump won and it gives a little benefits for the crypto. If dollar crashes the more we can benefit..

Wow....I couldn't disagree more.  Reducing taxes for the very rich, abolishing freetrade agreements, and deficit spending to fund infrastructure projects may create some jobs in the short term....but in the long run, it will only hurt the economy.  Trickle down economics has proven to be destructive to the economy time and time again, and Trump's version is even worse!  The rich are for the rich, so if you're not one of the 540 US billionaires, then you're pretty much going to be wishing you voted for somebody else....Mark my words here.

The Fed had obviously been expecting Hillary to win, and they are said to have been planning to buy stocks for dollars that they also happen to be printing. Therefore, she most certainly would be pouring even more aeroplane money into economy than what Trump might ever dream of. On the flipside though, health insurance and social benefits are for pussies and Europeans, dying destitute in the streets or under the bridge is the American way of life.

people are just giving wrong argument about currencies as bitcoin is not to be compare with other crypto or fiat currency, we even cannot compare it with USD, as USD is a stable currency and it can mantain its position for year.s
