Definitely NO! World poverty is cause by the bad attitude of the people. It is the bad habit of the people who are always just depending on the grace from the government, doing nothing just waiting and bragging the government of their poverty. I can say somehow bitcoin can help the people to raise them to poverty, but they must act. They must start to study the flow of trading in order for them to earn money from bitcoin. Just like the unemployed people who embrace bitcoin, look at them now they are earning money from bitcoin because they use this as their job.

Bitcoin can't solve the world's poverty issues. Poverty issues is on the hands of those in the powers Governing this world. Yet, we the people, we are the ones creating crimes, oppressing one another for the benefit of the few, so bitcoin and any other similar innovations are going to end world poverty. Although It could help, but it still depends on the hands of the people using it.  Smiley Wink

Can bitcoin really do anything to solve world poverty problem? Brian Singer certainly think so. He thinks that Bitcoin can bring minimum everyday earning for people more swiftly than any other economy system.

Is it possible?

No it cannot totally the wordlwide problem when it comes to poverty. It is because money is not the only needed factor to consider that someone do not suffer into poverty. Also, Bitcoin was not that powerful to do such thing as resolving the problem of poverty. Natural resources is also needed to be consider to resolve the worldwide problem of poverty. What will we do to those money we have if we do not have any resources that a person really needs. So for me, Bitcoin itself cannot totally resolve it. Maybe it can just lessen the effect but to solve it? Not literally.

Bitcoin does not answer the difficulties in the world because people are so corrupt and the world has nothing to do with war like terror and terrorism that they do not care about making world a better place and they are thinking for themselves. Bitcoin is a great tool only people have problem.

I don't think so. Bitcoins are too good for this world to be used as a means of money for everyone. I think it should stay within the people who actually use bitcoins as an asset. But to think it through, however, bitcoins can help end world poverty, but this means a lot of regulations and important updates to be implemented.

why not? of course yes and its possible if anyone uses bitcoin and know how to make money on it like for example one uses bitcoin as a form of investment or in trading then he could possibly change his life and end his poverty because bitcoin is indeed a profitable coin as long as you know how to used it properly in the means of business oppurtunity and not just a regular currency. nothing is impossible to a  person that has a determination and dedication in order to change his destiny and bitcoin is only a tool to help his dreams come true.

I don't think so. Today Bitcoin is one of the expensive items in the world, the price value of Bitcoin is $11,600 USD at today, So a poor people don't have the capability to afford a Bitcoin, that's why Bitcoin could not use for eradicating poverty from the world.
I think Bitcoin works just opposite of your statement, I think Bitcoin will bring the more discrimination between the poor and wealthy people in the future.

Definitely one hundred percent my reply is no and never any object can solve the poverty problem.  Bitcoin or any other object can be and are useful in providing new jobs to so may people; providing new business opportunities of investment to gain higher rate of returns;  through this channel but this population will be just some percentage of the entire population of the world.  And for the people of this group  engaged in above  mentioned activities ; it is not certain that all may really be earning; there may be certain people who in the hurry of earning big profits may have to face big losses because of their foolish decisions.
Communism is based on the theory of equality among all and it was be big revolution in the world at some certain point time but we saw its fate; it was complete failure; it could do nothing.
It is human greed and as a result corruption which forces some people to grow very rich and other many are forced to live in poverty.  Greedy corrupt people eat away the share of others and so many people in the world are living in very bad; poor conditions.  Many people are dying without food and some corrupt are enjoying luxuries with the money earned by them in corrupt methods.
So to resolve the poverty of the world; man just needs to give up the greed to become richest or richer ; just Live and Let live only then the issue will get resolved; but it seems impossible.

This thread is posted 2 years ago and its good that somebody has made it alive again. At this moment, bitcoin can't end world poverty. World poverty is like drug trafficking, it is very hard to stop. Maybe it can lessen the percentage of poor people but to completely remove is impossible for me.

I think this view somewhat exaggerated the role of bitcoin, Bitcoin is not a savior, poor people may not have access to bitcoin, and they have no money to invest in.

Bitcoin is not able to resolve the poverty but just to be able to reduce the unemployment. I think unemployment is a problem in every country even in developed countries. Many poor people caused due to laziness so even people who've been know about  bitcoin they still need to work for get profit.

Bitcoin won't end world's poverty but it can minimize the world's poverty. You can help people who needs help by just giving them goods. Bitcoin is for all but it needs KNOWLEDGE. Many people become rich because bitcoin.

A large portion of world poverty can be illuminated by bitcoin. Many unemployed people involved them in bitcoin and started to earn money. For bitcoin they change their poverty level.

It may or it may not. I have two answers with this, it may end poverty if all of us will donate some of our earnings to the needy. It may not because not all of us will give something, it would be better if we can give them the opportunity on how this business works (trading, investment, campaigns) - ways on how to earn however that will depend on them if they will grab it or not.

No. But it could certainly give a sense of wealth stability to those owning it due to its deflationary nature.
We can't say that bitcoin can end poverty but it may give you the opportunity of earning extra income because a lot of people are suffering on finding jobs so bitcoin can be a temporary alternative to earn profit just use it wisely to become more profitable.

This may have been mentioned once before, but Bitcoin is an asset. Just like any other asset, people need to invest in it first to reap future rewards. If the poor don't invest, they will just be left out. So no, Bitcoin won't end world poverty.
