I'm just wondering about the wallet (v1.1.1.0), it won't find any peer, even with those nodes (from Sample conf) added to FailCoin.conf.
Are there even any more nodes online? Tongue

My node has 13 connections, see below for two current listening nodes that should get you started synching:
Code:
addnode=78.94.32.197:15646
addnode=62.210.206.140:15646

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

@psycodad, @staysecure
Ahh, thanks.
After adding all nodes, the wallet crashed frequently.
But suddenly it seems to sync..

Just noticed that 5 days ago someone bought 0.1BTC worth of FAIL (212,340 coins at 47 satoshi) on EmpoEX. That should be the largest trade for the past... 1 year. Cheesy I would like to thank to the guy who bought them as it is some support.
...

Heheh, that was me. Remember I helped out a little with that cryptoID hosting? Wink

I'm still following this thread, hope the community will further evolve!

Status of new wallet?

Oh and btw. I can offer some of my free time to help out with technical stuff, if needed!
Pros: C++, Qt framework, hosting & securing servers (windows-only so far), thorough and organized working style (perfectionism Roll Eyes), quick familiarizing with new stuff
Cons: new to blockchain, new to current web technologies/frameworks, new to linux, new to version control systems

Hey,

Of course I remember that you helped with the hosting. I keep our PM's and I remember what I've promised. Wink And of course you can help, but we can discuss this on a later time. Now more important is to release the next wallet, which will fix a lot of issues and will have a lot of new features.

hi all ...

bates has pointed me to this coin - and ill be having a look at a number of things here ...

tanx bates ...

There's not much to see now, but I hope that finally we're going to deliver something. Stay tuned, see what happens... Smiley

The wallet is pain in the ass right now. I was like 10 months behind and took me like 9 days to sync. I'll be more active soon, but now I'm a bit busy, since I have relocated to the Czech Republic on January 26 and yesterday was my first day at AT&T. I must past some training, catch up with the language (which would be relatively easy, because I am Bulgarian and I speak Russian and Serbian... we have a lot of common words) and get used with my new situation. Smiley Panoch (our lead dev) said we may have something before/on our birthdays (we're both born February 6), but.......

Cheers,
Spartak

thats great spartak ...

bates knows me and knows what im capable of ... knows what ive build and he also knows what im about to build ...

im interested in helping - as bates has been instrumental in getting things sorted on my part - as well as the part of chainworks industries ( cwi ) ... there is a huge amount that can be done here - and the first thing - if you are willing - is discuss this sync issue - and fix it ...

skype me - and we can discuss much more ...

bates is ALWAYS in the loop as well - so its all good ...

im more than just a user - cwi is more than just a name ... we can do a lot together and we will if there is any way to ... linux ( redhat based os ) and other systems are something we can work on together as well ... if we can sort a few issues out on our end - we will have much more than just friendly banter here Wink ...

Our lead developer (Panoch (nickname: pnoch)) is extremely good. Next release will fix a lot of issues and will have a lot of new features, but we just need to be patient as we're not working with mercenaries (i.e. people who work for Bitcoin payments or the kind). After that anyone can help if he wants to and he will receive a good portion of FAIL. Smiley I'm not using Skype, but anyone can reach me on Telegram (@spartak_t) or Facebook (Spartak Tomanov).

I'm sure he is Smiley Can't wait for new stuff, and I think we really should have some kind of fancy wallet!
An example of a not-so-common wallet, just for inspiration: Customized Marijuanacoin Wallet Image 1 Image 2

Meanwhile I'll let my node running 24/7 to support the network and.. to stake of course Cool

One of the main goals of the wallet is to be useful. For example, it won't be needed to follow this thread or our website to see if there are any news. You only need to look in your wallet's News section, where all the news will appear in a separate Twitter feed.

Hey guys,

I am wondering if any of you guys could help us out over at pool.chainworksindustries.com. I am trying to help chrysophylax with testing his SSO pools (Especially the FAIL pool: http://pool.chainworksindustries.com/fail) but due to timezones etc we only have a few hours of effective discussions. Does anyone have any hash they can point to test and provide feedback on issues?

If you can help, please post your feedback over in the ChainWorks Industries thread, (Here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1563601). Start your post with
Code:
[b]### CWI-POOL SYSTEM - TESTING[/b]
to ensure it is picked up correctly.

About 9,000 blocks remain until the next reward halving. Keep in mind that FAIL will be 100% PoS after the fork. Will try to get some news from Panoch.

Cheers,
Spartak

 Heya,

Just had a short conversation with Panoch. Hopefully we will make our next release before March 8, which happens to be FAILCoin's 3th birthday. Now I'm going out to have some beers after hours of trainings and shitty shifts (6 am - 2:30 pm). My cousin who lives in Netherlands is here in Brno. I hope that I won't be late tomorrow for work... Smiley

Cheers,
Spartak
