Or how about this nugget: "Therefore, we do not like manufacturers that also mine." Er, but you are doing both, sir.
And finally this pile of gibberish: "Today, there is a lot of risk associated with mining that comes from not knowing how much hashrate is currently being produced, and also that comes from not knowing when your machine is going to be made obsolete by new competition. These risk factors increase the barrier to entry for mining, increase profit requirements, and overall end up reducing the total hashrate on the network."
Nebulous dev team are defending their ecosystem, shooting a random person is murder, shooting an intruder might be self defence. Time will tell what happens with the fork, but one thing we now know is nebulous has the cajones to make difficult decisions to protect their investment of time, resources and money, and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Bitmain actions were damaging, so nebulous fought back, as a user of the p2p storage network it is good to know nebulous is prepared to fight to keep the project viable. Sia isn't a decentralised leaderless project, not many cryptos are, we all invested in the nebulous team and their tech. We should be happy they are willing to defend themselves, and our investments in sia ecosystem!

Is it a great time to buy Siacoin?
I think yes, hard fork can well affect, it can't ignore anymore. I think it's a very good entry for people interested in Sia right now Basically the Siacoin fork and the Bitcoin Cash (fork to Bitcoin Cash SV) should be interesting forks and these forks maybe they might actually have some value. Personally I don't think Bitmain will do much developement for the Siacoin fork but I am pretty sure it will have value anyways due to speculation. I think the best coin which forked was actually Bitcoin Cash. I remember I got lucky because I was in an margin trade on both Poloniex and Bitfinex and just by borrowing the BTC, I was creditted an equal amount. Too bad you can't do the same with Sia as you can't trade it on margin yet. And most likely the Bitcoin Cash SV fork won't get credditted to most Poloniex users like the last 30 forks or so which were all ignored.

I'm sure this coin has a good future for trading, some people have to buy this coin until the market price rises again. it's been 3 years passed by this coin is still alive and that's good.

I doubt the miner coin will see much development, but it will certainly have value for a while. The main issue I see is exchange listings, assuming the existing exchanges will stick with the developer coin.

SIA had no ICO fyi, it has best tech at market and business investors behind, learn about SiaFunds and who bought them. They will be integrated at corporate sector for storage like IBM integrated XLM, keep calm and watch... or sell for pennies and never be millionaire, its your life and mind

I keep hearing that many exchanges are supporting the fork but the airdrop for Sia Prime will be 1 to 1 for wallets with less then 100K in them. 1 for every 5 sia for wallets with over a million coins in them. How many coins do you think the exchange wallets will have in them? I'm saying if you want to receive 1 coin for every sia coin you own from Sia Prime you should have the coins in your own wallet.

I downloaded the "win32" wallet and im promted with an error when i try to unpack "win32". For real?? how was your esperence? http://coinmar.info/blog/"Destination path too long" node_modules lib test The wallet starts instantly but some tabs in the wallet do not work. I have exactly the same problem, as you can see in my post above. Does the peers tab seem to be the only working tab for you? Yeh, i can add names... Thats it. Im shocked at how quick the wallet loads up! Is that normal? I don't think you can really say "loads up" if it doesn't. It will probably take way longer when everything actually works.

On October 29 Bittrex is launching a US dollar (USD) market for Siacoin (SC) https[Suspicious link removed]xchange/status/1055187262051360768 What does this picture mean? It means that you have to wait less than a week before you can buy Sia coin directly with fiat (USD)

which wallet will support Sia Classic after the fork?
for SC we have to upgrade to the last one, I got that, will Sia Classic use some of the earlier SC version of the wallet or they bill make their own new wallet (UI)?

If you don't believe it or don't get it, I don't have the time to try to convince you, sorry.

Definitely, this opening of new US Dollar based market on Bittrex is big thing which will make the whole process of buying/selling more easier. This is going to give direct access those were waiting for this. This is going to bring more capital and will engage more businesses and people in coming months. I personally expect this update's impact on market very soon.

A Sia Classic would need to build their own wallet, but don't expect much value from such coins for years if ever.

A Sia Classic would need to build their own wallet, but don't expect much value from such coins for years if ever. The version 1.3.5 of the Nebulous Sia client will be on the pre-fork chain so the seed can be used on that version to claim pre-fork coins. Third-party entities may develop their own wallet, if you want to know if they will and when you should contact them directly. So, simply put: - Your seed on 1.3.7 gives you access to the post-fork coins (the official SiaCoin). - Your seed on 1.3.5 gives you access to the pre-fork coins (may be called Sia Classic after the fork). (Provided that you had SiaCoins on your 1.3.7 before the fork occurs.) For anyone seeking info about the fork, please watch this Sia weekly update with the lead dev https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0t_ydQmKKk and/or read this https://blog.sia.tech/sia-fork-faqs-c6b3e0e73ce0. (They are talking about 1.3.6 in those, but they released a patch recently resulting in 1.3.7, which is to be used instead.)
