Hello there,

Is it possible to have a link for a bootstrap thanks, my wallet take too much time/ressources and stop/freeze at 15 weeks behind

thanks in advance.

Here is a bootstrap that will get you up to date.  I created this just a few minutes ago at approx. block 307730

https://www.dropbox.com/s/us03m55lwocc1vk/bootstrap.dat?dl=0

heavensopen, feel free to add this link to the ANN.  It probably is not a bad idea to keep a periodically updated bootstrap file around so new users can get up and running more quickly.

I agree!  We should keep an updated bootstrap available on the website (litedoge.org) and the OP maybe weekly or so.  That will also help new investors get involved in this coin.  Thank you!!!

I'm sorry but the bootstarp wont work or is too old. the bootstrap.dat file is only 169 Mo and block loaded are less than i'm  Huh

dont remember which was, it was 14/15 week behind, so i deleted files  litedoge-qt.exe and all files from the roaming folder.

re-downloaded bootstrap & litedoge-qt wallet

and launched  litedoge-qt.exe -loadblock=D:/bootstrap.dat

for now waiting importating blocks

Edit: importating block stop at 22 week behind i think.
Then i stopped the wallet

If you're getting stuck in the QT (and other QTs) try -maxconnections=10 in your batch file.

Sorry!  I didn't test the bootstrap.dat before I posted it.  I thought all you needed to do was rename blk0001.dat to bootstrap.dat (and possibly combine blk001,blk002,........ if necessary) and you were good to go.

I did something wrong or there is more to the process than that.  Hold on, I'm on it.

EDIT : 99% sure I see what I did wrong.  Hold on just a moment, testing the bootstrap.dat before I upload it this time.......

EDIT 2 : Nope, it didn't work.  It stops at block 80821 on May 15th.  I am wondering if maybe my blk0001.dat is corrupted or something so I can't create a functional bootstrap from it?  I don't know, it's a theory.  Gonna re-download the entire blockchain from scratch and then try to create a bootstrap.  Enjoy the easier staking while my main wallet is offline for a few hours guys!

EDIT 3 : Yup, that did the trick!  Here is a bootstrap.dat that will work properly.  It is the same link however because I simply replaced the broken bootstrap with a functional bootstrap in the same dropbox.

I already stated my point of view about this:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1077390.msg12848494#msg12848494

While it is sad to have an exchange less, this may put an end to the 1 satoshi madness

From one side i agree too with that. But on another hand its can less invest interest here. They are turned that dump walls to another market if Bittrex delist LDOge. And how it change situation with price?

If they have a little brain left in their heads, they will get those coins back to their wallets and wait for the price to rise. The price is always connected to offer & demand. Less coins in exchanges means it is more difficult to get it so it is sold at a higher price. There are people interested to buy and stake - don't forget that. I would buy more too if they weren't so stupid to put 1.5 billion coins for sale on Bittrex alone. By buying under these circumstances, we are making the problem grow bigger.

I said it before, let them shut down their damn wallets and we know what to do from there on. When someone stakes 500k coins and wants to sell them for 1 satoshi each (roughly 1.7 dollars right now, they are that cheap) he is just killing the market temporarily and bangs his head on the wall later.

Remember how many people were giving away Bitcoin when the price was ridiculously low:
http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-pizza-day-celebrating-pizza-bought-10000-btc/

Edit: let me clarify that I am not referring to Litedoge's price with the term "that cheap"....
