Yes holding it for long term will not be sure to be successful, if the price will go down you will lost also . It's not bad to trust in bitcoin but don't put all your money in bitcoin , invest some and be wise to use it.

I think you do not have to buy and put a lot of money, if you want to hold for the long term. you try to earn bitcoin as much as possible into the future and never sell it. then sell it in the future when the price is already high.
