I agree that holding bitcoin can give us more profit in the long run.  I also agree that halving plays a part in bitcoin price increase.  So holding the coin and undergo halving will simply mean you will get more profit than selling it right now.  But I think there is more effective way of increasing your coins while holding it.  Why not use it to trade other altcoin and earn from it.  That way you can at least multiply your bitcoin holdings and multiply your earnings.

but noone can guarantee that it will make you in profit as bitcoin future itself still on development
once bitcoin established , it might guarantee you to make money by holding bitcoin

It may look like Gold has not being very profitable in that 10 year period, but even this +100% increase has been more than welcome for people. Mainly because of the fact that Gold is a store of value tool. The most important thing with Gold is; did it do it's job well in these 10 years as store of value? Answer is yes!
