Navajo Farmers: EPA Sent Us More Contaminated Water
"Update Aug. 18, 11:30 a.m.: The EPA said the water for the Navajo Nation came from nearby Bloomfield and met state and federal quality standards. The trucks came from a division of an Aztec, N.M.-based company, Triple S Trucking, that moves non-potable water. The company also hauls fluids to and from oil fields. KUNM awaits comment from Triple S. ""Farmers in Shiprock say the tankers arriving with desperately needed hydration for their crops contained water that smelled like petroleum, was visibly discolored and had an odd sheen to it.
“The barrels are not clean,” said Farm Board Representative Joe Ben Jr. “They are from oil drilling operations.”
The deliveries were intended to help crops that are wilting in the sun after the spill at the Gold King Mine in Colorado on Aug. 5 contaminated the San Juan River downstream. Ben halted the distribution of the emergency replacement water. “The EPA has begun to study this water,” he said. “In the meantime, our plants are dying.”...."

Over 200 birds were found dead at 9th and Elgin in downtown Tulsa today.
The purple martins are a rare species protected by state and federal law.
The game warden says that he is looking into whether someone criminally poisoned the birds, because thousands of them nest in trees nearby, but there is also the possibility that last night's rain knocked them out of the trees and was too much for them to bear, causing them to essentially drown on the sidewalk during a downpour.
TU researchers have taken most of the birds away for analysis because it is a rare species.
Dozens of birds were left dead on downtown Tulsa sidewalks due to what is being called a "rare weather phenomenon".
Many of the birds at 9th and Detroit were cleaned up by Wednesday evening. Those who work in the area said they felt like they walked into a horror movie.
"The best guess I can give you is hundreds [of birds]," said Carlos Gomez." |

Edit: It has come to my attention some people think these stories and articles are meant to create fear. That is not the case at all. With faith in Jesus Christ there is no fear.

What is written in this thread is just a bunch of stories or thoughts about things that may point to bible revelation prophecies or passages or other signs of the times.
So I stumbled onto something yesterday on youtube. I thought it was very interesting, because in the past people have tried to predict when the rapture will be and when the end of days will be, and have said the end of the world will be in the year 2000! And then...
We survived Dec 2012, I think the Human race has at least a few more decades left. If I had one BTC for every Rapture/Revelation Prophecy since 1980 then there would be almost no Bitcoins left for anyone else.  Our current calendar is 4 years off. It is coming in 2016.  |

A federal agency announced plans Thursday for a more intense investigation into what caused the deaths of 30 large whales in the western Gulf of Alaska since May.
NOAA Fisheries declared the deaths an “unusual mortality event,” triggering a new-level investigation that brings with it access to additional resources. The agency said the deaths are about three times the historical average for the region.
Julie Speegle, a spokeswoman for NOAA Fisheries in Alaska, said a leading hypothesis for the deaths is harmful algal bloom toxins but she noted that there currently is no conclusive evidence linking the two...."

You mean when the stock market finally tanks they won't be prepared? I would think anyone with stocks should be paying attention to how the market is doing, and it's not doing well right now. Besides strong diversification (like multiple things, maybe silver, maybe bitcoin, different types of stocks, etc), I don't know what I'd even suggest to someone if I had to. Lots of these things are just becoming more likely to be even more volatile in the future depending on what happens with the market. |

Explosion at chemical warehouse in China's Shandong province " An explosion occurred at a chemical warehouse in Shandong province in eastern China on Saturday evening, the People's Daily China reported. The site is only one kilometer from a residential area.
Firefighters were dealing with the aftermath of the blast in Zibo County, Chinese media reported.
The explosion was so strong that its blast wave was felt within a five-kilometer (3.1 miles) radius, TASS reported, citing local media. Windows in nearby houses shattered.
