A report about a shot fired at the downtown Louisville school still hadn't been confirmed as of 4:20 p.m., about 45 minutes after the call was made.
The school near 8th and Chestnut streets went on lockdown shortly after 3:30 p.m. JCTC sent a text alert to students referencing a "violent incident" and telling them to "evacuate safely or seek cover in a locked room if possible."

41 new sanctuary cities in just 4 months
"The number of sanctuary cities has exploded since July, when the issue came into the national spotlight after a young woman was gunned down by an illegal criminal immigrant on a pier on San Francisco.
In July, there were 276 sanctuary cities and counties. Now there are 340, according to a new report by the Center for Immigration Studies citing data from the Department of Homeland Security.
Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies at CIS and author of the report, said the reckless actions of these cities and counties have resulted in the release of an average of 1,000 criminal aliens per month.
One violent illegal-alien offender who is now roaming U.S. streets because of a local sanctuary policy is Francisco Javier Chavez.
Francisco Chavez was released by a sanctuary county and then alleged abused a 2-year-old girl.
In August 2015, Chavez was arrested for brutally beating the 2-year-old daughter of his girlfriend, breaking a leg and both of her arms. Chavez has a long rap sheet, including felony drug and drunken-driving convictions and a prior deportation. ICE issued a detainer, but the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office released him anyway after he posted bail, even though California’s law would have permitted them to hold him.
According to an updated report prepared by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, for Congress, between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30, 2014, local sanctuaries released 9,295 alien offenders that ICE was seeking to deport. More than 600 people were released at least twice.
Out of these, 5,947, or 62 percent, of the criminal aliens had criminal histories or other public safety concerns even before the arrest that led to a detainer. And 58 percent of those with a prior history had felony charges or convictions; 37 percent had serious misdemeanor charges, and 5 percent had multiple prior misdemeanors.

FREEPORT, Texas - Thousands of dead fish washed ashore at Freeport's Bryan Beach.
The dead fish stretched from the mouth of the Brazos River to several hundred yards to the east.
The city's assistant manager made the discovery during a routine check Wednesday afternoon.
Right now the city and seasoned fishermen suspect red tide, a natural phenomenon that produces a high level of algae that can lower oxygen levels and add toxins to the water.
Some locals are saying it's the worst they have ever seen, thousands upon thousands of dead fish, in some parts as far as the eye can see.....
It comes only days after at least three tonnes of dead fish washed ashore, not too far away on Mexican beaches with the total expected to rise in the coming days due to red tide algae.
Thousands of fish at Matamorus, Tamaulipas, Mexico have been buried on the beaches but the amount just keeps on rising by the thousands as the red tide bloom shows no signs of diminishing.
As NOAA reports of a record-breaking algae bloom expanding across the North Pacific reaching as far north as the Aleutian Islands in Alaska and as far south as southern California and Mexico, NOAA have also issued concerns of harmful algal blooms and hypoxia in the Gulf of Mexico as yet another report of dead marine life on a massive scale is reported. As the above video and photo show, a lady using a basic cell phone from a few years ago (before the advent of iPhones and other smartphones) accidentally caught a picture (a freeze frame) of a word on her TV. That word was “kill”. It was a one in a million chance – or maybe even a one in a billion chance – yet somehow she captured the image on her TV screen. Why would a TV be showing the word kill, written in black on white background, with nothing else in that split frame?
Here’s the kicker: the word “kill” was written backwards, proving it was not regular advertising and was actually a subliminal message
What makes this case so interesting is the fact that the word “kill” was written backwards – proving that this was not an ad. What commercial would use the word kill on a white background with nothing else, and written backwards? There really can be no doubt that this is a subliminal message. But who inserted it? And for what purpose? How does it benefit our rulers for us to kill? Do they want more violence so they can justify harsher legislation (e.g. gun control or constant Big Brother surveillance)? Are they trying to undermine our inherent humanity and decency and turn us into heartless killers?...." |

The pope will be starting off a year of Mercy. It's nice that people remember the mercy the Lord has given to us, we are to forgive others. But he takes it further with handing out indulgences and grace. The Lord forgives us our sins, not the priest or pope. Also he wants to get more people religious, (think the one world religion) and to get rid of "closed-mindedness". Christians are to come out and be separate from others who don't practice what's in the bible. The Catholic church is not Christian, and to come out and be separate from that will be seen as closed-mindedness. Remember, next September there will be a push for all churches to get back to Sunday worship, that is not in the bible. Video: Protests Erupt In Turkey As Government Accused Of False Flag In Weekend Suicide Blast "Anger towards President Recep Tayyip Erdogan over Turkey's worst-ever terrorist attack intensified as authorities raced to identify the two male suicide bombers it blamed for the bloodshed.

Dr. Without Boarders MSF U.S. gunship made five passes over Afghan hospital, despite 9-foot flags ID’ing it as a medical facility: MSF"KABUL — The U.S. military aircraft that attacked an Afghan hospital over the weekend made at least five passes over it dropping explosives, even though two flags draped across the roof of the building marked it as a medical facility, hospital officials said on Thursday.
In a news conference here in the Afghan capital, Doctors Without Borders officials reiterated that they think the hospital’s main building was “deliberately” targeted because it was the only structure hit during the bombardment. They denied that any Taliban fighters in the hospital were armed or using it as a base.
The building that was attacked housed an emergency room, intensive-care unit, blood lab, X-ray room and outpatient waiting room. At 2:08 a.m. Saturday, a large warplane appeared overhead and began strafing the one-story building, located in Kunduz in northern Afghanistan, officials said.
The plane then circled around to drop more explosives on the building, repeating that process at least four times over the course of an hour. All other buildings on the grounds of the hospital, including patient rooms, were spared, said Guilhem Molinie, director of Doctors Without Borders operations in Afghanistan." |

How did they date these? I don't trust that there is a true knowledge of the dates for these people. I personally think that these skeletons may be much older than suggested. Vilcabamba, Ecuador, is known for people who live healthy to very old ages. There have been supposedly many centenarians living there over time, at least compared with the rest of the world. Their health is purported to come from the waters of nearby, high-altitude lakes, waters that pass through ancient plant life that has died thousands of years ago. The landfill fire has actually been burning for over 5 years, and they have been unable to contain it thus far.
There are clouds of smoke that have been billowing from the site, making the air in parts of St. Louis heavily polluted. In 2013, Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster sued Republic Services, the company responsible for the landfill, charging the company with neglecting the site and harming the local environment.
Last year, city officials became concerned that the fire may reach the nearby West Lake Landfill, which is littered with decades worth of nuclear waste from government projects and weapons manufacturing. Remnants from the Manhattan Project and the cold war have been stuffed there for generations. The site has been under the control of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since 1990, but they have not made any significant effort to clean up the waste.

"(CNN)Five years after fleeing to Canada, actor Randy Quaid is back in the United States and in custody.
The 65-year-old star of "Kingpin" and other popular movies was arrested along with his wife, Evi, on Friday as they were trying to cross from Quebec into Vermont, authorities said.
Their detentions are the latest twist in a bizarre saga of court cases and claims of Hollywood killers out to get them.

The Quaids turned up in Canada in October 2010 after missing a California court appearance over felony vandalism charges. They were accused of doing more than $5,000 worth of damage to a property they once owned in Santa Barbara.
But they announced they were seeking asylum in Canada because they feared "Hollywood star whackers" (see story below) were after them. "Quaids: 'We are requesting asylum from Hollywood star whackers' from 2010 "(CNN) -- It sounds like a plot out of an upcoming Halloween horror movie, but for troubled actor Randy Quaid and his wife, Evi, their fear of "Hollywood star whackers" is real.
The couple, facing burglary charges in Santa Barbara, California, stemming from a September incident, are seeking asylum in Canada, where they were arrested last week, Randy Quaid's attorney, Robert M. Sanger, told CNN on Sunday.
"The Quaids are contesting their extradition in Vancouver and, if the matter is returned to Santa Barbara, we will address the issues in court," Sanger said.
Outside their immigration hearing in a Vancouver court on Friday, their local attorney held up a handwritten note from the Quaids, which read: "Yes we are requesting asylum from Hollywood 'star whackers.'"
As the Quaids were entering the hearing, they briefly addressed reporters about their fears.
"Canada is a very protective nation," Randy Quaid said.
"Hollywood is murdering its movie stars for ad sales. ... We want asylum from the murderous people in Hollywood. Accountants and lawyers -- embezzlers," Evi Quaid said, adding that "Heath Ledger was murdered."
Ledger, a co-star of Randy Quaid's in 2005's "Brokeback Mountain," died in 2008 of an apparent drug overdose.
When asked whether they had drug and alcohol problems, both Quaids responded, "No."

Dow Jones hit by hackers"More than 3,000 people may have had their payment card and contact information accessed by hackers who made their way into the systems of Dow Jones & Company.
"To date, our extensive review has not uncovered any direct evidence that information was stolen, and we have taken steps to stop the unauthorized access," Dow Jones CEO William Lewis wrote in a letter sent to customers on Oct. 9.
Lewis said the effort wasn't focused on the direct theft of financial information, but on acquiring information to trick customers into providing their information in the future. "It appears that the focus was to obtain contact information such as names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers of current and former subscribers in order to send fraudulent solicitations," the letter warned.
It also reminded customers to be on the lookout for phishing scams, including "calls or emails from unknown sources" soliciting personal information.
The number affected by the hack is relatively small, though it indicates the vulnerability of top financial firms. JPMorgan lost information on 76 million customers in 2014. Scottrade lost information on 4.6 million customers this month. Aside from identity theft, phishing scams are the most common use for the stolen data."
