Why have Bitcoin instead of cash?

I recently paid for some local tacos using Bitcoin. My friend who was unfamilar with Bitcoin thought it was strange, like I technically didn't pay for them or something. We got into discussing Bitcoin and one of the questions he asked me was:
"Why would you want Bitcoins instead of cash?". For a second I didn't know what to say; then I thought about it and here is what I came up with. Feel free to contribute to this.

1) More security (especially if you are careful).

2) Bitcoins are a potential investment, cash is not. Paper currency only really goes down in value, Bitcoins have a lot of potential to be worth more as time goes on.

3) Fast, worldwide transactions at your fingertips.

4) Similar to #3, but it's a universal currency. It's legal in most countries of the world and you don't need any kind of currency conversion to send money to people in a different country than your own.

I think you have said all most important reasons but the best reason is lets all be honest that we want bitcoin because we want to earn lot of money to support our financial needs, to become rich and to become more richer to all talented and rich investors out there. Bitcoin was created because of paper money and bitcoin is useless with out the paper money from the very start. You could ask Mr. Satoshi for the confirmation of everything.

Economics is a subject that i used to like in hight school. It was very interesting about young adults to open there eyes and look towrads the future.

Economics is no doubt a very good subject and we all should study it for having better idea about money. The only reason which has made up my mind for keeping bitcoin instead of cash is that you can make a lot of cash of you have bitcoin. Whereas if you have cash, you can hardly make any cash out of it. Moreover, the future is of digital money. So think and decide carefully.

Right now the biggest problem is that it can't be used for the small and medium sized transactions as a result of the high fee. Also, the time required for confirmation is another concern. What is the point in paying for a hamburger or a sandwich in Bitcoins and waiting for 30 or 40 minutes so that the transaction gets confirmed?

These are some of the reasons why people are just drawn to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, these reason are just way better than what we have today, and that is why more people are investing on bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies every day.

Well in my opinion bitcoin is easy to carry you will feel secure with bitcoin there is no chance of robbery and the most important thing is bitcoin price is high than any other currency here also you can do investment and also you can do daily trade bitcoin has now credit card also in some develop countries so over all bitcoin is much batter then other currency.

Cash has a fix amount,it cannot change its value unlike in bitcoin if you have 1 bitcoin  and the value is 4500$ the value might go up or down and thats the risk of having bitcoin.

Bitcoin is much better now than cash because it is also much safer and that is because you cant be robbed on the street so that is also much better but maybe you can promote it also more.
And that would be perfect but you never know what is going to happen with the value of Bitcoin.

For me because bitcoins value are not that stable unlike on cash. Yes it is gonna take a lot of risk but I can assure you that bitcoins value will never let you down. When you picked cash after years of holding it,the value will stay the same. But on bitcoins the value of it rises as the years pass by. Haven't you heard about those people who but bitcoins before and knowna millionaire. And yes bitcoins are not that convenient today because not all establishments accept it but you can always exchange it into a real money after all. So your money can grow when you convert it into bitcoin and your bitcoins can be convertes back to a money which is good.

Haha, so funny, we want to buy fast food to save our time instead of buy eat in restaurant or at home.
But when we use Bitcoin, we need to spend many time to wait confirm our transaction .

I am in favor of using bitcoin with paper money, combination of these two currencies is nice to fulfill the needs of people. The problems you have mentioned are not problems as such, this currency is still in the process of modification end improvement. With passage of time, bitcoin is going to resolve all the minor issues so that it can be sued locally by people easily. I have very high hopes with this currency.

I would have Bitcoin as an alternative of Bitcoin because of the truth that the value of the Bitcoin can often go up which means that it is value far more. With cash you can spend at every single store you want and that is not achievable with Bitcoin.
