I think you meant debit card. Credit card is something for credit/debt. It is used to buy something and pay later, while debit card is something that you deposit an amount of money. The time of cashing out from exchange and then transferring the money to your debit card or to you bank account still depends on the exchange that you're using. It would be much better if you use an international debit card so you can still use it anywhere in the world, and then cash out the money in the local currency of the country that you're in.

I kind of disagree with "spendable than most currencies". In your example, you converted your bitcoins into fiat first. Meaning, you didn't really spend bitcoins but you spend fiat currency. Bitcoin is quite hard to spend in the real world as of today.

Bitcoin is a secured platform so I would say it is good to save online since you are the only one who knows the necessary information to access it. That is not a big problem, you have to pay for bigger fees if you want a faster transaction, that is normal as the system is now congested due to bigger transaction daily. Overtime we will see an increase of transactions and that will make the miners rich and they are one of the most profitable business in this world.
