It was a good series win for India. One can't believe that Indians took so much time to win a test series in Australia. Indians a so good at playing cricket but they were always bad on fast track pitches but this team somehow manage to win two tests with a very convincing manner.

Current Australian batting line-up is in a very bad position they need to improve or find right players otherwise in WI they can't perform well.

It was a good series win for India. One can't believe that Indians took so much time to win a test series in Australia. Indians a so good at playing cricket but they were always bad on fast track pitches but this team somehow manage to win two tests with a very convincing manner.

Current Australian batting line-up is in a very bad position they need to improve or find right players otherwise in WI they can't perform well.

Like I said the only fast track was the pitch in Perth where India lost badly. I also said that this series schedule was in India's favour with the first test match not being played in Brisbane where it normally is the case. Also the Australian team is inexperienced with two of their top batsman out due to suspension. I just think that all this played a big part in India winning the series however I'm not taking it away from them that they played the best I have seen an Indian team play in Australia. I just think the series would of been a bit closer if Smith and Warner were playing. India now have a team that can win anywhere in the world even in South Africa where they are yet to win a test series, if they can keep their bowling attack fit and healthy then I think they can hold the number 1 ranking for years to come just like Australia did in the 90's early 2000's.

Agreed , its more like Sri Lankan team if you ask me . The bowling wasn't that strong , they struggled a lot . I congratulate Indian team for winning but its certainly not bigger than any other series they have won.

India deserved to win a series earlier. Sourov Gangulay was close to the win but failed. Dhoni gave India a lot but the only thing- a test series win again Auatralia in Australia. I didn't expect it to happen by Virat, lol. Congrats, anyway.
India played very well. I specially want to appreciate Agarwal, Bumrah and Kuldeep. Don't want to mention the Hero.

Agreed , its more like Sri Lankan team if you ask me . The bowling wasn't that strong , they struggled a lot . I congratulate Indian team for winning but its certainly not bigger than any other series they have won.

Its very rude thing to say lol. we shoudn't downgrade Srilankan team like this. Australian bowling attack was very good if not the best. our won because Indian batsmen played well and made shit load amount of runs and Australian batsmen failed to score in flat pitches ( not even one century ).Indian subcontinent cricket history will remember that Virat kohli led the Indian team and they won the first ever Test series in Australia's backyard.
If you look Virat's press conference then you will understand why did he said that, he rightly said that he was not emotionally attached to World cup win. but for this series he was. so he thinks its bigger than World Cup. i don't agree with about bigger win statement but its sound legit.

Agreed but the way Sri Lankan team played cricket against India in Sri Lanka or in India then he's not lying or maybe @absy is Indian too and he saw how helpless was Sri Lanka against India

But after that, they played good cricket.

SriLanka in 2017 -2018 Test cricket

• Won against Pakistan in their backyard ( UAE)2-0
• They beat the SA in a home 2-0
• Won test series against Bangladesh in Bangladesh 1-0
• Draw against Windies in away tour 1-1

After this, they lost miserably against England in the home series. But again, looked very determined in New Zealand though they lost Test series against NZ. One can't deny that they didn't show grit in a first test match.

I don't feel the excitement and you know why?  If this was a team with Glenn McGrath, Shane Warne, Jason Gillespie, Steve Waugh, Mark Waugh, Matthew Hayden, Michael Bevan, Adam Gilchrist then I would feel the excitement.

Where is the fun to beat a team who are already beaten first.

That's the point. At the end of the day, no one will remember who played. You have mentioned the golden age of Australia. I used to enjoy every match back in days while nowadays I don't get that excitement.

It will for some times but in the long run people will forget about it. May be you and I and those who witnessed it will talk about it that India and Sri Lanka beat Ozs when they were a broken team but the record book will never remember the team strength. In the record book it's always India v Australia 2 - 1

Haha true about stupid thingy, not sure about Virat, But will cheer for both teams. Srilanka because it is another sub-continent team and Australia only because of Tim Paine. He's a nice guy, and the nice guy should not come last every time.

Btw my Pakistani friends keep saying the same stuff and they all want to see Aus lose again against Srilanka for the exact same reason.

3rd ODI between NZ and SL , NZ won by huge margin of 115 runs thanks to Taylor and Nicholls who both made centuries and helped NZ to cross 350 runs . Chasing 365 runs, SL was never in the game Perera made highest for SL  80 runs.

I'm sorry to say but I don't agree with this, in 20-30 years from now I still think people will remember that one of the best batsman in the world at the time of this test series in Smith wasn't playing for Australia and that one of the best opening batsman in the world Warner was also not playing. Don't forget that this ball tampering from the three Australian guys will always be remembered due to it was the biggest thing to happen in Australian cricket so I believe everyone will remember that in this test series where India beat Australia on home soil that two of Australia's best batsman were not playing. Like I have been saying if they were playing it would of been a different story and the series would of been a lot closer then it was.

3rd ODI between NZ and SL , NZ won by huge margin of 115 runs thanks to Taylor and Nicholls who both made centuries and helped NZ to cross 350 runs . Chasing 365 runs, SL was never in the game Perera made highest for SL  80 runs.

Thisara is really playing good. It's his bad luck that Srilanka is not winning after having a batsman like Perera at 6. No one could play a long innings. If a century or at least someone from top order would be able to make 80+ run, the scenery might be different.
NL won the series by 3-0. Now, looking forward to having a winning at T20, lol.

IPL 2019 is finalized to be played in India and the opener and last match would be played at Chennai as they had won the IPL finals last year. Due to elections in the country it was quite unclear what will happen but now they cleared the air of happening it in India itself. The schedule will be out in Feb .
