Ethereum has big scalability issues, cannot handle a real mass adoption. So I guess it will be surpassed by a next generation platform at some point. While Bitcoin will dominate for another while, but not forever.

I agree that Ethereum is the future of crypto as enables many more applications than Bitcoin. However, is Bitcoin visibility, media attention and adoption that will continue to drive growth in all other cryptocurrencies including Ethereum.

There is no reason to blame Ethereum. The scalability problems are generally valid for bitcoin and other coins too. Not a special thing for only ethereum. In addition, ethereum gives a free environment to the developers so that they can deploy their smart contacts, but bitcoin has no such function.

FYI - Ethers are as different from bitcoins as oil is from gold.  Ethereum platform is as different from the bitcoin platform as banking is from law.   OP is stupid.

But.  If bitcoin doesn't get it's political & scaling shit together it will eventually be overtaken.

Will be interesting to observe the impact of Casper on Ethereum. Not only will it increase the performance of the platform greatly, the change to POS will mean that people staking Ether will be able to receive dividends. A dividend producing crypto sounds quite attractive to me, I think a lot of people will think the same.

Bitcoin is still the best, but we cannot say that ethereum is the future, all of the tokens, coins coming out
are all the future of crypto's they are all laying the foundation for crypto currecy, each and everyone of them
but who will be at the top?
right now i can say bitcoin is still the best, be we can't take away or disregard ethereum for they are slowly
climbing the ladder, but still early to say that ethereum will be the future, because if you take out bitcoin in the
equation all of the other crypto including ethereum will be worthless, why because still they are depending

I thought I was the only one with this line of thought. Ethereum has been amazing since last year december. Price discover of ether as a currency of Etheteum platform that has evolved and still evolving is amazing.  gain almost 3000% on my holding. Another thing i noticed also is the fact that there is continuous development on Ethereum than  Bitcoin.
