It is possible that all countries legalize and use bitcoin as the national currency. Thus bitcoin can also be used as an international currency. If bitcoin offers something more practical then the dollar will be replaced by bitcoin
Well I don’t contemplate that the idea is this much simpler as it is said here because crypto currencies are right now making their own place in the market with competition within themselves. Bitcoin is considered as a king of the crypto currency and it has got the maximum market capital as well but then there are other altcoins which are also having sufficient amount of the market capital so that means that competition is still tough. Once the crypto currency will make its place in the market only then it will be on a position to take over the dollar.

No, there is a limited supply to be mined. And for an internationally traded commodity, its value is too volatile to be a basis for currency. And despite of the robustness it offers, it still has vulnerability such as those concerning trading platforms vulnerabilities. And there is also huge percentage of the public who doesn't understand this principle.

There is a huge chance that bitcoin will really replace dollars in the future if every country cannot handle the growth of crytpocurrency. Now a days, government is the only reason why people cannot use bitcoins everywhere on the nation.

as most of these maximalist comments you can read those days there is a strong economic interest behind him sying this as it might push the numbers of people buying bitcoin on coinbase. However, bitcoin could definietly reach the meaning of dollar in a digital way

I think bitcoin will coexist with USD. Because these two coins will hold value for each other and certainly no one wants one of them to lose. Bitcoin has its own value and the USD is the same, sure the US government will not even accept the bitcoin as they will still not end the USD as the currency represents their position in world finance.
It actually has the potential to become the the most widely used currency if most of the retailers starts to accept Bitcoins as a means of payment. This will reduce fraud and make people all over the world purchase things online.

First of all it is very hard to replace anything that's been established for many centuries and what people have come to rely and depend on. But dollar lacks in digital world, that could give more space for bitcoin to groom.
The fact is that I very much doubt that Bitcoin will replace the dollar. You should understand that the dollar is supported by virtually all countries of the world and no financial structure or organization will let it fall.

eveyone have a right to do speculation , i Though it hard to against exsitence of dollar maybee need take more time to replace dollar's exsitense itself
maybe not bitcoin but other crypto will ? due crypto itself always followed by latest tecnhology whom always provides easiness, simplicity, and accuracy. so actually I agree someday we will live in 100% cashless society look over about bank history everyone laughed when you save ur money in bank instituion and ur money just showed in your saving book. along the time we had realized and feel comfort with developed that provide us easiness and simplicity

Maybe time will come that bitcoin will be widely use but it does not mean it's more popular than dollar. The fact that they think they should regulate us, that means they believe they are more superior than us and they will always promote a centralized as more secured than decentralized which is very risky.

I shy away from absolutes, but I think its safe to say this will never happen in our lifetime. I don’t think there’s even a currency backed by a sovereign government that could suffice as a replacement right now, never mind a crypto-currency no one controls or regulates.

I don't think in about 15years, Bitcoin will replace Dollars just like that. To me, Bitcoin has it's Blockchain which makes it differ from Dollars that is Fiat in nature. If it is going to happen at all as proposed by the Article writer and the Cointegraph CEO, I feel it will take donkey years, since Bitcoin is not regulated in any form while the so called Dollars is regulated by the US Government. I stand to be corrected anyway.

I think it's impossible for bitcoin to replace the dollar, many countries use dollar. Dollar is international money but for 15 years it's been too long. Many things can happen and changes.

there is a probability in the future that bitcoin may replace Dollar but not too soon. Cryptocurrencies are promising and its the trend given the technological advancement.

Given the speed of developments in crypto world, 15 years doesn't seem short to me. If that does happen it will surely not be Bitcoin in its current form. I'm thinking it won't be bitcoin at all, but a new, technologically superior blockchain. This year I think we'll see a lot more institutional money go into crypto, which will be a huge milestone. Anyway can't wait to see what the future holds!

I think they cannot replace the dollar anytime soon because there are still some people who cannot even access the bitcoins so how possible that the bitcoins will replace dollars if there are some poor people especially beggars that do not have some mobile phones and we all know that the basic thing that can access bitcoins is the mobile phone the real money is hard to them to have how much more when it will be bitcoins.
