Nope. I very doubt government will want to relinquish control... As a sub currency it could gain mainstream use but i think there will be much blood before BTC replace the Dollar. I think bitcoin can not replace dollar soon. Because still many people do not know about bitcoin. And there are many millions people who still don't use Internet and than they how can depend on bitcoin. So before the replacement of dollars, there is a urgent need that every person on earth can access the account and they should have a basic knowledge of Internet than they can understand the bitcoins and till they will own the bitcoins. Than there will be chances that bitcoin can replace dollars. Bitcoin has strong potential but it needs and depends on Internet. Without the access of Internet, bitcoin can be used, stored . I agree with you people need to have knowledge before bitcoin can replace dollar but i think there are more possibilities than replacing dollar i think it will replace paypal because it is better to use and it is also has an online exchanging method. That can happen because bitcoin is an online currency and not a real life so it is hard to replace dollar with it but it is easy to replace paypal with it or even ideal i think these 2 options are more common if we are talking about bitcoin replacement. This has happened already man in which time you are living dollar is forgotten by the world now they only remember it when they are counting the price of bitcoin and this is very awful and this was sure to happen because dollar is not that much volatile and promising and it doesn’t give benefits to its investor it is stable at one point and now bitcoin is here and world is crazy about this and feeling sorry for dollar.

In my own opinion, I think that it is not possible to change the dollar to bitcoin currency because everyone in the entire world is using dollars and it is circulating the world bank, So it means that it was a huge change for the entire world if they will swap the currency into bitcoins immediately.
Well it is not very much tough because the value and the importance of the bitcoin will increase with the time. In the future the bitcoin will get more space and it will give the bitcoin space and the profit. It is getting more and more valuable so buy the bitcoin and get the bitcoin as the side income for the bitcoin profit. I have the money and I love to buy the things online through the bitcoin online payment.

I find it very difficult to replace the dollar in the near future, especially the dollar is the strongest currency of the world and is supported by the strongest country that is USA. In addition, the dollar is also a reference of world transactions so to change it will be difficult.
I think it is not difficult because the value and the importance of the bitcoin are high and the people are investing in the bitcoin now for the long time. It is very possible that in the future people will start using the bitcoin as the side income and the future of the bitcoin and the crypto currency will increase more and more. I hope this will give the bitcoin business go more wide till the end of the year. Obviously it is really very easy for bitcoin at present to replace any currency of the old whether it is of some developed country or that of developing country. Bitcoin has value much more than dollar and it is pretty easy to use and handle than dollar. Bitcoin is soon going to be the most sued currency in the old and at that day, dollar will be badly kicked out of world economy as the strong currency.

It takes a process perhaps to overcome dollar, I also believed that dollar is very strong and stable currency, For how many years dollar proves its dominance and sustains on the top based on market chart against all currency around the world. Its not easy to replace dollar in bitcoin but there's a possibility may be a 100 years from now.

I think it will happen if bitcoin will be used by everyone in the whole world, and it is the main currency we use. But for dollars(and other fiat currencies), I think it will not be gone completely because this is the foundation of how we trade, sell, and buy. Some still use and rely to it, and I think iw will not be removed because this is our foundation.

If you cant beat them, join them. By 2020, most governments would have launched their own version of cryptocurrencies. Russia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, India, Estonia and soon enough the western world too. Once you have crypto versions of fiat currencies floating around, consumer will have a lot more choice to choose from. This will dilute the demand for bitcoin that is currently being chased by just about everyone.
Instead the future will belong to the platform that will underwrite most of these cryptocurrencies.

I think it will happen if there's a lot of people will use crypto currencies in future. Because change is constant in this world so it is not impossible that dollar can replace by bitcoin.

That is a scary thought. It's very possible, but I hope we don't come to that.

A dollar will only be collapsed is when the value of the $ plummets. People who holds dollar denominated assets will probably sell them at any cost. This will includes foreign governments who do own US Treasury's. It might also affects foreign exchange traders. And lastly, individual investors.
If the crash will occur, parties will demand assets denominated in anything aside from dollar. The collapse of it only means that everyone will try to sell their dollar-denominated assets, which in no luck, no one won't buy it.
Before being replaced by BTC there is EURO which is the next most popular currency. But again, it only comprises less than of the central bank reserves.
If EURO cannot replace dollar than you should look at China's YUAN. After all, China is the one of the powerful economic countries today.
Bitcoin could only replace dollar as it has many benefits. It is not being controlled by any central bank in the world. No one governs it. Aside from those, it is only created, managed and spent only. It is now being accepted on minor and major stores around the world. The supply is finite, that appeals to those who would rather have a currency that is being backed by something concrete and not digital, such as gold.
But, there are too many obstacles and things to consider if BTC could replace dollar as the world main currency:
1. The value is highly volatile (No central bank manage) 2. Coin of choice for illegal activities in the deep web (BTC started in the deep web, as far as I can remember) 3. Based on #1 and #2 it will make BTC vulnerable to tampering by such forces who are capable to do it in the future

Some governments like Russia is planning to create their own cryptocurrency in the future in which they can be able to control and later use it as their legal tender. The planned cryptoruble, for example, will be used by Russia instead of bitcoin because they caneasily deregulates it. In the future, instead of using bitcoin to replace dollar, the dollar might replace by another virtual currency created completely by the government.

I think NO bitcoin will not replace the dollar now because the dollar is international currency backed by America the world super power. Bitcoin is also applicable everywhere but it is not that much powerful to replace the dollar.

I agree to that. The bitcoin is yet powerful but it is not enough to help the people to sustain their needs in financial money and bitcoin is not fixed on its value so the other people will find it difficult to use it everyday because they will might regret for spending it and not keeping it if the price is still going up. So there is a lot of possible problems in bitcoin and that is why i don't think that bitcoin will not replace dollar.

For sure the dollar is he international currency and it Is being good for the people now, a lot of the people are using the bitcoin and they are earning from it but for me the most important and the high value thing is the increasing price of the bitcoin, I use to buy the bitcoin and I am having the safe currency called the bitcoin, most of the people likes to buy the things with the bitcoin but not with the dollars.

I'am for sure very enthusiatic that bitcoin's golden age is yet to come and that even the fabtastic values that he's reaching right now aren't it's trye potential . Yet i don't think that taking the dollar away would be an easy task since dollar and all traditional currencies are more trusted by people than any crypto no matter how successfull is it . It'll be a lost fight fir bitcoin .

So there is a lot of possible problems in bitcoin and that is why i don't think that bitcoin will not replace dollar. First of all, the price of Bitcoin needs to be stable if it wants to become the currency for daily using. As FIAT, it has fixed its price and the value of FIAT depends on the growth of the country's economy and finance own the currency.
