January 23:    Liverpool vs Southampton

And then it all just became a lot more interesting.  Now both Liverpool and Man United will want to win in the semis for a chance of a great match for the League Cup.  I guess of the clubs that are participating those two would be the most likely to want to win this.  For Liverpool there's really nothing to win except for the League Cup, FA Cup and the EPL since they are out of CL and Europa.  With United's case, Mourinho still has something to prove and he's a guy who wants to win everything.  Playing a final against their most bitter rivals will be the icing on the cake.  I really do hope those two meet at the final.

It's really an unexpected result from Arsenal vs Southampton match. Arsenal lose 0-2 by southampton. Is arsenal don't want this cup ? In the other hand Manchester United win big against West Ham United.

Losing 0-2 from Southampton is unexpected result for Wenger but this is football everything can be happen, i dont think Arsenal don't want to get good result in this cup they just get bad result and maybe underestimate this match so they got lose

Yes this is indeed unexpected results but you must see that arsenal did not play a full core players.
so it seems reasonable enough and it turns out that their substitute players still lack good.

Well the last night match has showed us another solid proof that every time Carrick playing, Man United always get positive result. I will bet Man United ML if I see Carrick in starting line up lol. And finally I could saw Schweini playing, even tho just for 5 mins only. Overall, Man United were really amazing last night.

Liverpool vs Manchester United is the ideal final for EFL cup but anything can happen. Southampton has a chance to make a surprise based on their recent performance. And I guess for both Liverpool and Manchester United, this thropy wont be their first priority hence they will play with their second line.

It is too mainstream to see liverpool and manchester united through the final.
I prefer some unexpected game such as both liverpool and manchester lost and failed qualify for final.
And then hull city or maybe southampton win this cup with pride.

Yeah I think Southampton as underdog team have good chance to get their way into final. I'm sure that most of us expected Arsenal to beat Southampton, but it went out of our expectation. In the other semifinal match, I guess Man United will win against Hull City, as long as they play like last night.

They (MU & LFC) are now on Semi-Finals, one more step to Final. If they do not really care about this Cup, I doubt they will reach till this Semi-Finals. It would be bad for both teams if they are going to waste the opportunity to win a title even though it is only a small Cup. I'm sure they will show their best on Semi-Finals and go to Final. Manchester United vs Liverpool would be an ideal Final Match.

I watch ManUTD-West Ham and it was very good game,especially from the United side which dominated almost the entire match and a fully deserved win this match.But unlike the league match that these two teams played last weekend and witch ended 1-1,this time WH did not play with the strongest team,for them is more important struggle for survival in Premier League this year.

Even this match was fully dominated by United and no doubt that is massive victory against West Ham, but I was with both teams to score because I was not sure Manchester United will win this fight like this with huge margin.
