Well this is definately surprising to me, didnt the chairman of the board come out to back Ranieri a few a couple of weeks ago? They should've waited until atleast after their second leg match with Sevilla was played

This is a shocking news! I can not believe he's been exonerated. He performed a miracle by winning the Premier League, has passed the round of Champion's, he could get to the quarterfinals. I'm really sad and disgusted.

Definitely not surprised, I am sure he was begging to be sacked. He will be remembered though for forever cos i cant see the Foxes winning the EPL in the foreseeable future.

This is bad news, Ranieri has been fired less than a year after leading Leicester City to the Premier League title. Nobody gave them a chance at the start of last season. Admittedly, their performance this year has been bad. They are hovering near the relegation zone. But I don't think sacking Ranieri is going to help the team now.

that's dumb and premature. yes you risk relegation but they are STILL ABOVE THE zone, give some benefit of doubt to the manager who unbelievably won you the league last season. and you are still in champions league. poor timing.

The board director must be out of their mind, ranieri should be considered as a hero because he took the team from zero to hero. I wonder what team will hire him as their manager, ranieri has the skill but he is just unlucky this season. He should be able to atleast survive in the top ten this season

sad see leicester, opponents leicester this weekend is liverpool, it seems difficult to get points and leicester are now in a difficult position. I'm pessimistic leicester can survive in the bpl. tonight will meet sevilla and i think will lose.
Leicester might not win the league this season however they won the league and it is not something that could be achieved easily and There is still always time for next season therefore I wont really expect them to win this match as it is going to be hard against liverpool however it could most likely be a draw Rofl. That's an understatement mate. It's more like 'Leicester will not win this season and might get relegated'. Next season will be more of the same for Leicester. Their last year's performance was a fluke and that won't happen again in two or three decades. More even. People underestimate them last season as well and yet they surprised us. Anything could happen in premier league and you apart from many others know this things well. Everyone got their own opinion and you sir , dont have to agree with mine Btw learn to use comma's and periods. I dont need to, I got my own style of writing unlike you that uses atleast 2 or 3 spaces after periods ( to make it looks longer perhaps? ) That's how we were taught at typing class bud. And there's nothing to underestimate as far as Leicester is concerned. They will get relegated and it's already too late to give the manager the sack to stop the bleeding. But we'll see, I would love another underdog story in the CL. Thanks for adding commas and periods. Your posts are much easier to read that way. Oh wups... Speak of the devil. They finally did what they should have done last December. The bleeding has to stop and they need to prioritize surviving in the EPL. It will be all for nothing if they don't. Expect their key players to be released for cheap if they actually get relegated.

Yes this is surprising news, Lecester make decisions too quickly I think. English champions and FIFA Coach of the Year in 2016 and still many achievements Ranieri in Leicester does not guarantee a good career. You're right, Ranieri's dismissal would not help the team now, and should given the opportunity to Ranieri to rotate players to get a performance better. On February 28 Leicester will be against Liverpool at the King Power Stadium. We'll know at this match whether this dismissal bad or good impact to Leicester.

Not everything is lost for Leicester City just yet. The sacking of Ranieri shows that the club owners wish to save the club from relegation and I think we shouldn't write them off yet. Ranieri was special being the most successful Leicester manager ever but in today's results-driven world no one is irreplaceable. I would bet against any relegation though if there is a prop bet up now.

Ranieri fired? It's a bit of a surprise to me. It was about to happen at some point but hey, he did a miracle last year, he made history, something will stay forever in the logs. I mean come on, they could have wait after the game with Sevilla! They still have a chance to pass. I don't get it. Either way, good luck Mr. Claudio.

Complete and utter bonkers. Why O why would sack him when he is nearly through to the next stage and not to mention they are still in the league. No loyalty in football these days. Meanwhile Wenger is sitll in a job.

Ranieri contributions continued to decline in Leicester city so the club should take action even though it had to fire the manager who contributed to last season. Let's see what they can do with the new manager at least for relegation.

I saw this news, I just thinking the owner of Leicester want to save His club from relegation, they think the best option is to replace the coach and hope get good result after that, nothing special this is always happen in all club, when the owner see the coach didn't bring a good result for the club they need to replace the coach, even the previous coach giving the thropy for the club but when the situation getting worse the owner need to rescue the club.

Leicester City were never really THAT good... they had a lucky season where the top teams were all struggling for consistency and they took their opportunity to become unlikely winners. This season is just showing that they don't have the depth or quality of players to maintain a position at the top of the EPL.
It reminds of Blackburn Rovers of the early 90's who won the title in 94-95... and then finished 20 points off 1st place the following year.

It is really bad decision from Leicester management, I think this is not the right time for such decision, anyway, I liked how Mourinho has commented on this event. He commented: "Champion of England and FIFA manager of the year. Sacked. That's the new football. Keep smiling amico. Nobody can delete the history you wrote."

Finally Mourinho said something intelligent. The problem with Leicester was not the coach, it was the players. Last year they wanted to win, but this year, they have lost their fighting spirit. And firing him now is very weird, since its match against Sevilla was a success. They would need only to win 1-0 at home to be qualified.

He is absolutely right. you can not send away so "the LEGEND". Ranieri decided to stay instead of going to a top club. He wanted to stay for many years to leicester and instead they sent him away like an ordinary person. Unfortunately in today's football is no more gratitude. I think the leicester deserves at this point to go back in Championship, not for his fans but for those in power.

He changed how they played from last season and was trying to play a bit more possesion based football. Last season they didn't care if they had less of the ball. But their counter attacks were quick, aggro and effective. Anyway I think Hull will survive, and Leicester will be relegated. Betting on Hull tomorrow to win vs Burnley, ML at 2.18. Burnley has been very weak playing away and Hull is in a threat of being relegated, so they'll be playing their hearts out. And the latter has been playing better than usual lately.

Well... could be an interesting weekend of fixtures... there are some relatively tricky match ups! The only real gimme is Chelsea v. Swansea... and that is reflected in the fairly poor 1.257 odds on offer I would probably take Spurs over Stoke @1.431 and even throw in my beloved (but terribly inconsistent) Liverpool to beat Leicester @1.639... 3way Parlay with a payout of 2.948... we'll see how we go
