1) e5: 3 votes (dre1982, hermesesus, jjacob) It has to be e5 or c5, right? There's plenty of other moves. c6, Nf6, d6, b6, g6, etc. I vote e5, though. Indeed. e5: Open Game c5: Sicilian Defence e6: French Defence c6: Caro–Kann Defence Nf6: Alekhine's Defence d6: Pirc Defence g6: Modern Defense d5: Scandinavian Defense Nc6: Nimzowitsch Defence Thanks Wikipedia

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Who do you think will be the next competitor against Carlsen. Who is the one who make a chance?
Few years ago he was absolutely number one but the last time he isn't in that good shape.

Of course, I was talking about the popular options. The French defense, among those, is also popular, though to a lesser extent to master-level games. chess.com shows this: 1...c5 318,043 1...e5 149,775 1...e6 90,544 (number of games)

Everyone participating will have a chance to win the 2016 Candidates Tournament. Naturally if I am participating I would never name another person as being most likely to win. I can neither confirm nor deny my participation but will plan to do so (if I am participating) before the tournament begins. If I am participating and if I win I will attempt to find some bitcoin friendly sponsors for the World Championship Match. It is no secret that Carlsen will be a favorite over anyone he faces.

Nf6 is more of a drawish opening, but let's go with Nc6.
Most likely he will play the Ruy Lopez. We need to decide which line we want in that - if we screw up the moves, he'll retain a huge advantage.
