Preseason are difficult to use as a benchmark for success but on the other hand it's also an early comparison when we're in the new season because it's like a situation where there will be more positive belief if a club does well in a friendly but on the other hand it can also be a worry and backfire when a club does badly in pre-season considering it's an early benchmark to judge how ready they are for the new season.

Although it cannot be denied that sometimes pre-season matches are just experiments and warm-ups for some clubs in concocting schemes and player line-ups but still when a club plays well or badly it has an impact on our assessment of them for the new season.

That's right, friend. In the end, even winning in pre-season matches is sometimes important to build the confidence of the players in the squad. And also to bring our trust in the new coach to a club. Even though all of this cannot be a definite benchmark, there is hope that a team that is good in pre-season will be able to play well in the actual season. For a strong team like Real Madrid, maybe they save their best strategy for the actual match. So it is not surprising that they do not attach importance to the results of pre-season matches. but for a team that has a new coach, I think they are testing the squad seriously in pre-season because it will be their debut there. And even bad results in pre-season can make people start to distrust them. So they are more serious about getting good results.

That will also be the case in Serie A because it is certain that the season that will start in a few days will be quite interesting even though it will still be dominated by a few big clubs.

I'm actually expecting something more this season especially for Milan where they are now definitely going to be a scudetto contender for Inter with Motta as their attacker.  In addition i also hope more for some dark horse clubs such as Roma, Atalanta and Bologna who last season played quite well in order to become a stumbling block in the competition in the top standings later.
Although it cannot be denied that it is possible that Bologna will be a little inconvenient because of the new transition where Motta, who is now in Milan, will definitely make Bologna's performance a little different from the new coach and Atalanta, who is approaching the new season, is experiencing problems because of the injured Scamacca and Koopmeiners who still wants to go to Juventus but hopefully Gasperini can make Atalanta performance not decline.

I think it could be that the Milan players didn't put much energy to win and where avoiding any form of injury since the next season in very close. Yes, I think so cause on a normal they can't stand Milan, it's not like I'm underrating the Saudi Pro League but Al-Ittihad finished 5th last season compared to Inter Milan, a team that topped the Italian league in the previous season and currently one of the most outstanding teams in Europe and even though their coach featured more of the bench players they shouldn't be easily beaten by Al-Ittihad without a goal reply. I've seen underdogs defeat several big teams, it's ruined some of my bets and that has made me further believe that you're right to say predicting friendly fixtures can be difficult asides.

While other people are focused on discussing AC Milan, which has competed in pre-season against strong European teams such as Man City, Real Madrid and Barcelona. And AC Milan did get positive results. Which makes everyone appreciate AC Milan. But I think we also need to look at Inter Milan, who just experienced their first defeat in a pre-season match. And what was surprising was that Inter Milan lost to one of the clubs from the Saudi Pro League, namely Al-ittihad, with a score of 0-2. And what surprised me about this match was that one of Al-ittihad's new players who was brought in from Aston Villa actually scored 2 goals in that match. Inter Milan did not play seriously in this match because they continued to rotate players between the first and second tier. But Al-ittihad also did the same thing except for Benzema who played the full game.

This happens to be one of the unexpected yet funny and somehow unrealistic results I have seen in the recent pre season games, Inter Milan loosing to a Saudi league small team LOL, obviously even from the game, inter Milan didn't take it seriously, they rather appeared to me like they were just getting a warm up preparing for the main league fixtures because they weren't having their keep players and probably it could be a tactic to avoiding injuries before the season begins. A few team can be seen doing same aswell after they say the fate of Manchester United. Because I believe inter has got a better squad than that of their opponents and winning would be something they would have had a better chance at, than their opponent.

They have the status of defending champions in Serie A, they will try hard to be able to maintain it this season. Obviously this will not be easier than before, because other clubs are also preparing to provide competition in Serie A next season. So they will get more pressure than before. With the squad they currently have, they should be able to play well, but we'll see later.

Inter must understand their current condition because after all with the status of defending champions they will definitely do their best so that the performance next season must be even better because apart from the demands that must be like that, they must also have prestige so that the trophy that has been obtained cannot be released just like that.

Regardless of whether they play seriously or not, losing to a team that is actually at a different level is something embarrassing.

I've read several reports concerning Federico Chiesa's future at Juventus but the most reliable of them all suggests that he's surplus to requirements at the club according to the club's new manager Thiago Motta so the best thing he can do at this time is to try find his way out of the club. Making any post on social media that suggests Chiesa wants to remain at Juventus wouldn't change the fact that the manager isn't ready to work with him and should be fail to move away from the club, he should be ready to spend most of next season in the bench. Chiesa I think still have a lot to offer as far football is concerned so he should try get a new club where he'll get playing time than to stay back at Juventus where he's unlikely to feature in most of the clubs games.

And I think Inter lost a little of their confidence in this preseason and I hope Inzaghi will evaluate the strategy and also his players so that there is no bad season for them because the season will arrive soon so my hope is they will compete fully with AC Milan next season and make the Serie A league rise again with their derby.

What i can see from that game is that Diaby has been carrying Ittihad's attacking line. He's such a smart guy and powerful attacker; also, he looks too good for Saudi club. It's amazing to see Diaby's performance in this game. No doubt, people were disappointed when he left the EPL for Ittihad.
This is a friendly game. But, I still want to assess Inter Milan's performance. And, they're still good overall. Even though Diaby made them lose, but i think Inter can still play even better than what they showed in that game.



Also, don't forget, Inter used a good starting lineup in that game. However, Martinez wasn't there. But, they're all good.

Every coach has a different view and he has the right to choose players according to his wishes that are suitable for the team that will be built, so there is no other way for Chiesa than to find another team to be able to make his career future better.
Despite the many fans who regret this, Motta knows better what he needs and I think now some rumors about Chiesa's new team have spread so let's just wait for the official announcement of Chiesa leaving Juventus and I think it is much better for the player and the team.

I think any club that has appointed a new coach, should be able to give him enough freedom so that he can do what he is actually planning to do. This should be the case for every club. You need to give a coach the freedom that he wishes to have. There is something called "trust the process". Whenever a club brings in a new coach, they should be able to trust the process and trust the coach as well.

Another thing is, that no club or coach should actually listen to the fans. Because they do not know what is actually going on in the club and in the dressing room. They are always going to say a lot of things. But the decision which is taken by the coach, if it works they are going to be happy at the end of the day. Even if you do listen to the fans, if the things that they say don’t work out, they are still going to blame you for it.

If they actually need Chiesa, they will try to convince him staying in Turin and Chiesea will not have demand for transfer to another club. Their relationship seems to be broken and time for their separation is counting down.

I did not see Roma announcement on Chiesa transfer to their club so all news so far is purely rumor. We need some more time to know a next destination of Chiesa.

We have the likes of AC Milan who came second in the standings last season, they can also give a tough time to Inter Milan and not just Juventus given them a tough time always. At the end of the last season, we saw clubs like Atalanta that finished in the top four of the table and also teams like Bologna who finished after them and book a spot in the champions league. If they can perform as much better as they did in the last season, they would make the competition more interesting and open to winning at anytime. Chiesa is a valuable player to Juventus and if he stays, it’ll add to their quality performance next season but even though he doesn’t, Juventus can still farewell without him and be a league contender and also do well in the champions league next season.

It seems so. We can't underestimate other clubs, like Juventus and AC Milan. They have improved. But, I'm confident Inter Milan will win this season. Inter is favored to win the Serie A again. But, Juventus's odds are surprisingly higher than I expected.
I predict that, if Milan and Juventus compete for 2nd and 3rd, it's not impossible for either to win the scudetto. But I trust Simeone more in this to help inter gets is back to back scudetto.

I'm sure Inter Milan can show the same performance as last season when they got ez win for the scudetto. Juventus and Milan have new coaches. They need time to build chemistry with their players.
I think it can't be done in a short time, and most probably they need more than a season to have good chemistry.

It is very clear that a player like Federico Chiesa is still really needed at Juventus. This player is always ready to be placed anywhere on the attack line. He can be a striker or winger. And actually I hope Thiago Motta includes this player in his plans for Juventus' main squad. But in reality, this player is on the list of players who will be sold if a team wants to recruit him. And actually it wasn't the player who wanted to leave Juventus, but the coach who didn't include Federico Chiesa in his plans for the next season. I don't know what Thiago Motta was thinking at that time but now it seems clear that this player will stay and I am sure that in the end Federico Chiesa will be part of the plans made by Thiago Motta.

I didn't take it too seriously because this defeat happened in a friendly game. On paper, Inter Milan were clearly favored over Al-Ittihad because the two teams were at very different levels, but Inter actually lost to the team without being able to reply with a single goal. Inter did not play seriously in this game because they knew that the official match would start soon, preparation and squad completeness needed to be prioritized rather than chasing victory in a game that was not competing for anything. Although Inter lost by more than two goals to Al-Ittihad, it will not make Inter's level drop, if this game is repeated in the official game, maybe Inter will make Al-Ittihad go home with a big defeat.
